  1. You guys get all the deals in the US! Maybe I need to do all of my shopping in the US from now on. Good find!
  2. That's a great site! They have a lot of different stuff I haven't seen on other sites.
  3. I was considering the butterfly release, but a friend gave me a great alternative (and a lot cheaper). It will just take a bit of creativity and handy work. There is a way to make paper butterflies on a spring that you wind up, and when you open a card or envelope, they fly up. She is super creative and is looking for the instructions on how to do this. When she gets back to me, I'll post it for you!

Let me stop to think of him; As I am given away. And know that if he could; he would be here with me today. Dear Lord please clear a spot for him; he should have the perfect view. And if he should get sad today; Dear Lord I count on you. That is an amazing poem! I'm at work reading right now and actually crying. If you don't mind, I might actually use that poem for my wedding day.
  5. A friend of mine who's parents are divorced, had both her mom and dad walk her down the aisle. It was really special to all of them. I'm going to ask my mom and step dad to walk me down the aisle, I love my mom more than anything and want her by my side. My step dad has also been such a huge part of my life. Even though they are married, I want to include both of them.
  6. I might use the card idea but put it in a photo frame that has a couple different spots. A spot for the card and then a spot for the photo of us walking down the aisle. Unfortunately my dad passed away when I was young. I think I am actually going to ask my mom and my step dad to both walk me down the aisle.
  7. We just ordered our save the dates this past weekend and had the same debate. What we did was include the website that the TA/WC set up for us. I figured if they were interested, they would check out the site that has the price but also lists all the amenties and selling points of the resort. We also have print outs and a PDF we will either mail or email to people.
  8. Welcome! There are so many great idea's on here! The best resouorce and friendly ladies!

  13. This thread is such an awesome idea.. I just took some time to read a lot of the posts and you girls are great! Your words of encouragement to each other made me feel a lot better and not alone!
  14. That is super exciting! The pics are great! Congrats!
  15. Perhaps H1N1 also being known as swine flu? People get freaked out about things like that... Quote: Originally Posted by daniepps What does a donkey have to do with H1N1 anyway

  17. We pretty much had the same reaction this weekend when we found out. We met with our WC to start doing our selections.. when she told us about the donkey no longer being allowed on site, we both had a bit of a bridezilla/ groomzilla moment. Finger's crossed they change their mind... our WC thinks it's because of H1N1 fears... Quote: Originally Posted by amybermuda Don't even tell me that!!! 18. By any chance did anyone book the Donkey cocktail party? It was originally included in our package but now our WC told us that the donkey is no longer allowed on the resort... which breaks my heart. I'm waiting for our WC to let us know of any alternatives or if the hotel changes it's mind.
  19. The hand ceremony sounds great, very unique! I got a little teary eyed reading it! Quote: Originally Posted by amybermuda OMG I am too. I cry at commercials... Speaking of ceremony length, I actually want to make mine longer and want to add the Hand Ceremony. Have you guys heard of it: Hand Ceremony In the hand ceremony, the officiant (or person chosen to do this part) invites the bride and groom to view the hands of the other as a gift. As an expression that your hearts are joined together in love, will you please face each other and hold hands, so you may feel the gift that you are to one another. These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch. Blessing after: “Our prayer for you today is that both of you will use these hands to build a marriage where all your dreams come true.†I love it. I might tweak the words a bit, but the gist is awesome. I like the idea of holding hands palm to palm at chest level or holding them palms up into each others palms up. I don't know who to read it for us seeing as my parents are divorced and his Mom is widowed.... Maybe his Mom anyways?
  20. I can't open it either.. I'm not enjoying this Noob thing! LOL I would love to see what you've done, is there any way you can PM with this? Or if that doesn't work.. email it? Much appreciated!
