    Hello!

Congrats on the engagement and welcome! I'm sure that you'll find the answer to lots of your questions on here!
  4. If you can't wait to get married, you could always do the legal wedding sooner with a city hall wedding and a small party with friends and family. You could then have a big party and symbol ceremony at your destination of choice in 2012, when you have vacation days available and money saved up! It's not the same, but it's an option!
  5. Wow, that's pretty heavy! I hate to say this but if you aren't happy, things aren't going to get better by getting married. It sounds like you have tried a lot to make this work, but perhaps you need to let him know exactly how you feel... perhaps this way you will know if it's worth putting in more effort or not based on his answer. All I know is that I stayed 6 years in a relationship that was not meant to be only because I really wanted it to work and because I was afraid to take the chance and move on. I did move on though, and found the love of my life in the process. Good things do happen! Best of luck, and make the best decision for yourself!
  6. Congrats on the engagement! We are getting married at Playa Fiesta in May 2010. There is a special thread just about the hotel on here, you should check it out! You can also add a package to your room rate to make this hotel pretty much an all-inclusive, so this might be a good option instead of getting two hotels!
  7. That is a beautiful dress! I'm sure that you'll find a taker for it. I washed the entire sideshow - wow! Great wedding and good choice for the photographer! You looked simply amazing. And those TTD photos - fantastic! Congrats on the wedding!
  8. #1 is great for a more formal affair, #2 feels more appropriate for a beach. It all depends on what the setting is and your vision for the big day! If I have to choose though, I'd go with #1.
  9. Oh wow, that's a tough one! My deepest sympathies. I think both ideas are good - I also think though that both could be taken the wrong way... such as "oh, this is so depressing" or "oh, I can't believe that she'd replace her". Still, if I 'd have to make a choice, I'd probably go with honouring her with a memorial. Weddings are supposed to be happy, a celebration of joy. Such a hard decision... Best of luck with it!
  10. Great idea! It would be way more intimate that way. I agree with just having the placecards - no need for the rest!
  11. This is too sweet! Just read 23 pages... and this better end in marriage!!! You two really seem meant to be!
  12. Hi Charles and Nicole! Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  13. Hi! Welcome to the forum! We're getting married at Playa Fiesta, which is in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I think that it fits all of those requirements, you should check it out! Depending on what you are looking for and your budget, there's also cute places in Yelapa and Sayulita / Punta Mita. We also had looked at Rockhouse and the Cave in Jamaica, but it didn't work with our dates.

Hi Julie, congrats and welcome to the forum!
  15. I have used Blurb.com in the past to make photography books. The site has its own software (free) that is very easy to use - you can use templates or custom design everything. Your book can have as many pages as you want. You then upload the final file and can purchase as many book as you want and send the link to your family & friends. I have to say that the whole process was very easy and I loved how in control I could be with the final product. The books arrived quickly and the quality was incredible (as good as any photo book you could get at the bookstore). I adore my book and will be using them for our wedding book. I really recommend them! Feel free to message me if you would like additional details.
  16. Hi Amy, congrats and welcome to the forum! We are also getting married in Mexico, but we are doing the legal ceremony back home to make things easier in Mexico and make sure that we get the type of ceremony we want as well.
