  1. Ah, $20 per flower? I wish! How about $100 for a fresh orchid for my hair? 1 freaking orchid! Is it made of gold? And how about the peony bouquet I bought at the farmer's market last summer, 3 bunches for $10. Now I need to pay $400? You say wedding and everyone says che-ching.
  2. Uncut - more traditional, cut - unique. I like both, this is a tough one! It might be more delicate cut, as the lace might get caught on things?
  3. Great photos! I absolutely love your DH's expression when he realized who was taking the pictures, that was priceless! And I love that you got photos of everyone, I think that it is fantastic. You two looked stunning, in both outfits! I think that it's fun that the both of you changed - I had seen the bride do it before, but not the groom!
  4. For the jacket I used high quality laser paper, it's just a tad thicker than regular paper. It worked out fine. It saved us $$ and was less bulky. Hang in there!

I do think that the envelopes are my fave too, most likely because they were the easiest part of the whole thing! OMG, I totally asked about churros on Sunday! I was so excited when Blaire said that they have them - I've been dreaming about them since we chose to get married in PV. I'm not sure though if I'll do them on one of the other nights or in addition to the cake. I was also wondering about Mexican wedding cookies - anyone ever tried them Down to 3 colour themes, now I just need to eliminate 2!
  6. I bought a pack of 50 pages of cardstock at Michael's for about $6, but then the printer refused to use it! I'm keeping them for a future project.
  7. Ah man, that sounds like how I felt when I printed my STD and my corner punch wasn't the right side. That sucks! Glad that you were able to find a solution!
  8. I say, do as you want! It doesn't matter if it's your first time or not - it's your wedding!
  9. FI wants to have his 2 best friends stand with him - I on the other hand don't know what to do! I wouldn't have really known which of my friend to ask and now, it looks like probably none of them will be coming to our DW! FI is really set on having GM, and I think that it would make for better pictures to have attendants (and I am picture-obsessed), but it's really stressing me out. I'm at the point where I feel that my options are to either 1) just buy 2 dresses and whoever shows up gets to wear one or 2) have no attendants at all. It's a though one, because either way one of us is disappointed! I need to decide soon too... grrr!
  10. There are some good ideas here, I especially like the __ of 2 idea! Are you doing a wedding site / blog? If you are, you could make it very explicit on the site, which would allow you to keep the invite more upbeat!
  11. I'm sure he'll calm down and see that you meant no harm by it - obviously had you known this in advance, it wouldn't have happened! As long as he knows that you're sorry and feel terrible, he'll get over it!

Obviously they run a business, and so they also try to look out for their best interest. We asked him about packages, package modifications (to fit our needs), food (Travis is a chef and we want our own menu), dates and payment methods. Do go over this with him! We payed by CC and then regretted it as there was a 5.5% charge. Basically there are charges for any payment method it seems, but I think a bank transfer costs less? We also had a follow-up phone discussion regarding the contract. Again, we wanted to negotiate some points and clarify certain things - at times things are very vague or the complete opposite, but when you talk to Adam they don't necessarily care that much about everything, so we wanted the contract to reflect that. Take notes during the meeting, so you can refer to it later (things can change, we've seen it happen). Good luck!
  13. I would also do both kinds of invites. This will save you $ in stamps and paper, so why not! I think though that silver will only work on the printed ones - you could use gray for the e-vites.
  14. These look great and very professional! Can't even see the ink issues or anything like that. Everyone will love them!

The couple did a booklet and the inside has a pocket like a library book where they put the RSVP card, the first page is like the formal invite and then the following pages tells the story of how they met, which was on a cruise ship... Pics: So my FI and I are doing a cruise wedding so I think it would be cool to, instead of telling the story of how we met like they did, having pages for each day of the cruise with info about the different ports kind of story book style like this invite. I would also love to some how coordinate it with the save the dates... so thats my vision!! Who knows if it will happen... but thats what I want damnit!! hahaha Jaime WOW! These look incredible! I love how it all goes together so well. This is a great idea!
  16. These look great! I love the custom stamps. Surprising how big they are! It will all look amazing in the end though, no worries!
