  1. Looks great! Pronovias for myself as well - too fancy but I don't care! I think that it's more fun that way. Super cute BM dress!
  2. oh WOW!!!!! How stunning! You just looked amazing, I LOVE your dress! And the photos are fabulous! I remember seeing the wedding decor on Dazzling Detail's blog, just amazing! I've always had a thing for gray & yellow weddings, but didn't think that it could be done in the tropics, but this proves that it can! & the day after shoot is so adorable! The psychic birds - who knew!

Nathen (the FI!) wants to go there for a couple days post-wedding at PF. But it looks like there aren't any hotels. Where did you gals go if you stayed around Vallarta? Our flight was quite affordable I think, and so were the ones for our photographers. We paid $470 each, which is less than I was expected. I would expect that from Texas it would be cheap though, since it's so close! Sara, I LOVE Sayulita! I went there as a day trip in 2005 and I wanted to stay there for months. I just love the feel of the place and really liked that there aren't any big hotels. Quote: Originally Posted by Mel&B The main hotel in town is Villa Amor. I like it I just don't love it. It just seemed like more of a TTD dress but not something I felt comfortable wearing for our ceremony. So I went back out on the look last week. I found the dress I originally loved but couldn't get cuz of the price. I still had the picture of me wearing it on my phone. It fit perfectly and was 60 percent off. I bought it last friday and took it in for a few minor minor alterations. It will be ready this thursday hopefully. All of our OOT bag items have arrived and we are getting everything together this weekend. I will try to post some pics as soon as I can. TWO WEEKS NOW!! Woo Hoo. I'm glad that you were able to get your dream dress at a discount! It's fantastic that you will be able to be happy with your dress on your wedding day! Good luck with all of the final details
  4. Happy wedding day! Can't wait to read and see all about it!
  5. We have booked our flight, whoohoo! And now have 2 rooms book. Hopefully we'll be getting more bookings soon!

  7. For anyone interested, there are more photos posted on our blog! The infamous save the dates Travis and Magalie's Big Day
  8. Thank you! I'm fine with it now, I was just frustrated at the time. I've said this before, but your wedding was stunning!!! The slideshow was amazing
  9. Wow, the photos are amazing! You looked gorgeous and you two looked so happy! Congrats!
  10. Yep, you can bring your own but you have to pay the corkage fee. I looked at it quickly on the 1 website that was working and even after the corkage fee it would save us about $75 / bottle (for fancy champagne). There's a Playa Fiesta thread, I recommend that you join it! Playa Fiesta Weddings - Best Destination Wedding Forum ~ The Ultimate Destination Wedding Resource
  11. Blue flowers can sometimes be a little on the purple side, not sure if this bothers you or not. Here are some flowers that come in blue: Iris Hyacinths Hydrangea (as stated before) Delphiniums Veronica Statice Sea Holly Aganpanthus Bachelor buttons Eucalyptus Monkshood Nigella Anemone Morning Glory Lobelia Sweet Pea Lupine Juniper Berries Phlox Hibiscus Tulips Columbine Flax Plumbago Bayberry Butterfly Bush Clematises Muscari Pansies
  12. Only 1 of the 3 sites listed is still has their website running. Are there any other great spots to guy alcohol in PV? We are looking to get the Champagne ourselves. Would WalMart carry some?
  13. It worked today, hurray! These are amazing pics, you must be thrilled! Everything looked gorgeous, you two are too adorable and make quite the handsome couple!
  14. We stated the desired dress code on our website - beach chic - and explained what we meant by it. We stated what we didn't want just to make it clear, but unfortunately you can't guarantee that people will listen! Ps. Martha Stewart explained in her latest Weddings edition "if you want to stress the importance of the style of dress (...) place the information in the lower right corner (of the invitation), or on the reception card."
  15. I just found out on Thursday that Michael will be the 2nd shooter at my wedding, and I was so excited because I remembered your shoot! Thanks again for sharing these!

They are usually only 15-20 minutes long. My advice is just to relax and enjoy the ride. Lindsay or Blaire will take care of the rest. . P.S. I think I had a similar worry in the back of my mind, but they really do have everything worked out according to the time of sunset. Awesome, thank you! That's all that I needed to hear (and see, I love that photo!)
  17. Welcome to the forum and congrats!
