Wow....that is incredible. Thank goodness it was not your first stop! Some people do not seem to realize that one upset customer can cause more damage to your reputation than 10 happy customers - especially in this day and age! Susie - what a terrible thing to say to you! 14 is not huge by any means and to say something so hurtful and mean to anyone, let alone a bride. Inconsiderate.

The hard part was that we wanted our names on it but not too big so that no one would use them after the trip - is that what you had in mind with yours too? We did not want our names to be huge afterwards because we wanted people to use them after the trip - same reason we went with a higher quality mug.....trying to be a bit environmental....hopefully not everyone tosses them -lol! I made up a draft of our logo but could not get that bottom line to wrap right side up :s So a good friend I grew up with is a graphic arts designer and I sent it to him....he logged onto the site and looked at what they needed and changed all my fonts to what he said would be cleaner and easier to read once printed. He told me to stay away from the fun fonts like "Ma Sexy" because they tend to blur when done on small areas. He also sent me an email set up specifically the way they asked for it, so I just forwarded that to them. The logo looks way bigger on the mug than we thought it would too - which may be because my friend changed all the fonts and it is all clean lines. I don't know - just love them When you go to make your....pull the ruler function up on your document. Then you can see if it is all fitting in there properly. You can phone discountmugs (that is what i did), order over the phone, and then they give you the email address to send everything to plus your reference number. That way things don't get lost and the art department gets it right away. You could do that and send what you have with a request for them to change something you aren't getting just the way you like it? I am sure they would help you out and then would have a good idea of what you are loooking for. I feel better when I get to talk to a person, so that is why I went this route.

Happy Wedding Day Timberly!!!!! Happy Valentine's Day everyone else:) So yesterday the groomsman and his wife went shopping - and found pants for the boys to wear! They fit two out of three so far and look awesome! It was so nice of them to do that...since FI left them to the last minute:s He was in town last night so we got to see them and try them on and now he is gone again. Sheesh I hope he gets home Wednesday night like he is planning! -

I would, but she is remarried....so its not the same. I do have my grandmother's 50 wedding anniversary band, so i will probably wear that. The bright side about not having the other one with me....I would have been worried about losing it.....oh wait I will have the other one with me now! Argh! Breathing.....going for pedicure and breathing.....LOL what a geek! -
Trisha - what a good idea having the WC not translate that line! I am so going to ask Jazmin to do that. That way the order won't seem so odd:) See this is why this forum is so amazing...the little things that help make it great! Thanks! Krama.....I am down to 12 days....7 till we leave! It has flown by too.... I have a pedicure this afternoon and then a couple DIY projects we are hoping to wrap up this afternoon. Tomorrow is big packing day! I have to do some laundry, but the majority of it will be laid out and ready to go:) (they need a smile that dances and shakes his butt - this is the closest I could find )

I am so glad Timberly got off! I was hoping it would work out for her:) Woohooo Valentine's Day wedding a go! Breens and Chris have a wonderful trip! Off for my pedicure and then a few more things to finish up. One disappointing thing....I asked my mom if I could borrow her wedding ring from my dad..something old. She got all upset because I guess she went looking for it a couple months ago and it is not where she thought she put it and now cannot find it! Its not the end of the world, but then I asked and she felt bad....argh! I wasn't trying to make her sad or feel bad. Dangit! -
We are going to do a candy buffet, but just as part of the regular snacks and food set out. For the gifts we are getting the small woven beach bag favors, lining them with bright celophane and filling them with jelly bellies. Each one will hold about 10 jelly beans. That way the will be bright on the tables and still "beachy". I love the shot glass idea! Having everyone drink to get a glass is a great idea:)

I wrote a whole lovely ceremony out and emailed it to the WC. She told me it was great but couldn't be used because the Judge has a stict script to follow for parts of it. We can have one reading, our own vows and what we wrote for the rings....otherwise it is all Judge. Then the Judge will pronounce us husband and wife...then we can do the sand ceremony. I told the WC that seemed backwards to me, so she said that after the sand ceremony she introduces the couple to the group as Mr. and Mrs. and then there is the recessional. Odd, but we want the sand ceremony, so.... Hope that helps.

Echo - that is great your friend can take delivery for you....even paying for her to ship them to you will be a savings this way! They sent me the proof I requested...I want to say two days after I placed the order.....it was not long at all. The delivery date they gave me was Feb 2nd and then I expected a delay because of the proof, but it all still showed up early. I think the warning is in case there is a delay or they get busy. You will have to post photos when they come in! La Romana...it does not sound like it is worth the aggravation at all. Given the customer service is terrible and they don't have your money - imagine what it could be lke once they do!

Allison! The pictures are beautiful:) Congrats! Susie - thanks for the reminder....we all know, but it gets lost a bit when sorting and planning all the details. You are right - it will all work out and we will be together. I am so excited! Krista...the poem is lovely. I think that is a really sweet thing to have close to your FI heart when he goes down the aisle. Timberly - sweetie I feel bad for you. It will work out. This weather thing sucks out loud and I am thinking and praying for you. Try to be positive...all the obstacles you have had and gotten through - this one too shall be over come. Thinking of you..... -

I've been told not to worry about anything till we get there.. so that's what I've been doing so far, but I just feel like im going to get there and be upset that nothing is planned.. I feel like a crazy person right now..lol So, I have a few questions.. Don't worry - you are not a crazy person! We all went through the same thing:) What do most people do for the dinner/reception?? I would like a poolside reception, so should I do a dinner at one of the resturants, then just the reception by the pool?? Or do it all by the pool?? And which one is more cost efficiant?? You can do either a whole dinner/reception by the pool or separate the two....the dinner by the pool I was told we had to pay per person, whereas if you have dinner in an a la carte, it counts as one of the three dinners alotted to your guests - so no extra cost and they are still getting an a la carte dinner. Then the private poolside receptions have different costs, depending on what you are looking for on the bar list etc. From the numbers I got, the a la carte restaurant for dinner and then the pool side reception afterwards was better cost wise. If I do choose to have the dinner at a reasurant, should I book that now?? Do you have to pay per person for that?? They restauarants do book up and only one wedding per restaurant is allowed that day, so if there is one in particular you are interested in, you should see if you can book it sooner rather than later. I would also suggest if there is a particular site you are hoping to have your wedding at you try to book that as well. The WC can send you all the sites available to you - depending which section of the resort you are staying on - and photos too. From what i've read, you are not allowed to have outside photogragher, but is that the same if the outside photogragher is also your guest?? Trisha could probably answer this better, but my understanding is you use the resort photographer unless one of your guests is your photographer. The resort cannot tell you your guest cannot take the photos, but you cannot bring in an outside photographer you have hired locally. last question for now.. Do you think a dj is needed, or would an ipod be alright for the reception We were just going to use the ipod, but SusieQ is there right now and did this....she sent me a message suggesting if music was important to us to consider using a dj. If it is windy and the resort show is going on, the two drown out the music from the ipod. SusieQ will be back soon and can give you better advice on this one.... I know one suggestion made by the WC was renting speakers from a company in Cancun (and she would set it up) but this company said we were responsible if anything happened to their speakers and we are concerned if there is a power surge at the resort we are going to have a rental company trying to make us pay for their speakers. In the last week we booked the resort dj for $190US an hour. Kind of bugs me because he is going to use our ipod and push play, but the music and dancing is important to us. Sorry for all the questions... lol Don't worry about all the questions! That is why we all found our way here:) Hope this helps a bit.....I am sure others will have more info and suggestions as well. Watch for SusieQ's info because like I said, she will be back this coming weekend and will have tons of really recent info to share. Happy planning!

I spent a whole day looking through promopays.ca and found several mugs I liked and the prices were good. I emailed the company to get a quote for a few types. It's been 4 days and I haven't received a reply. I called them this morning and no one picked up...and I tried several times. I even left a message and still nothing! I figure if it is this hard to order something it must be even worse to actually get the stuff. So at this point I think I'm going to risk the customs fees and brokerage fees and order from Factory21. From the beginning I've liked their mugs the best anyways. I'll let you know when I get them!!! Thank you again for all of the ideas! Heads up on promo company - on another thread one of the girls ordered her mugs and after two weeks without a word tried contacting them. took several days and when she finally got a hold of someone he told her the ones she ordered we discontinued and he would email her some other ones to look at right away. Several days later the email came, but the ones he emailed were way more expensive, so she cancelled the whole thing and ordered from a different company. The brokerage fees on my 60 mugs from Discount mugs was $63 on 60 mugs....and it was still far less expensive than anything we found here or on other on line sites. UPS held the small box of 10 hostage till I paid them. Like I said in an earlier post, they are so awesome I don't mind at all. Wish I didn't have to pay....

I don't know about pro photos - I had to take several to get some I liked:) Thanks though:) For you Canadian shoppers - Chintz and Company carries tons of amazing stems...they are not "Real touch" brand, but another brand that is amazing. I was really surprised and so was my mom. -

I was just picking one up at the dollar store and going to leave it outside our room. I think for the most part we will run into people easily enough, but if someone needs to find us or wants to know where we are at, then they can check the board outside our room. I am a little paranoid about letting people know we are not in the room, but at the end of the day how many people are in their room at all during the day.....of course then I read all these posts and it makes me more paranoid again! LOL So I probably won't do the white board! I love the walkie talkie idea and $20 a set is cheap enough.....even if we just get enough for parents and wedding party:) I had gotten some for my nephew a few years ago as a gift and they were bringing them along so they could stay in touch with the kids....maybe will just have to find a few more.
