I felt the same as you when i saw this sight. I love seeing everyones DIY projects etc... Enjoy
  2. Wow, I am relieved to see that I am not alone here. I just had my first fitting after being away from home for seven months. I almost cried. I felt as if it was the wrong dress, i actually asked if they ordered a different one. I keep reading that some of you girls felt your dress was too simple ... well i am wishing mine was more simple now. I am nervous that it is not traditional enough and was contemplating going hunting for a new dress. Only 40 days till my wedding, so i don't really have time I am crossing my fingers and hoping my next fitting (may 1st) goes better.
  3. Isis Dazzle-Shock ... bahahha yess this is great!
  4. Thanks Ladies, It was tough to convince my Fiance to do the photos there. He just wanted to relax and enjoy the city, but i got what i wanted obviously haha

  6. Hey Ladies, I am soo sick of "to do lists". I have THREE wedding books, post-its everywhere and even the same lists on my ical. I am having the hardest time making the simplest decisions and i have just over a month left to get things together... Any advice other than "eeeny meeny miney moe" to help me make all the decisions

Thanks Amy, I Just emailed the spa for appointments too, so hopefully it isn't too full. I will do hair and makeup although i am nervous for both :S I am thinking i will bring my own make up for her to use to keep it natural. I haven't seen to many brides at DT without an "updo" from the stylist and i will be leaving my hair down so i hope they are good with hair Wow it is coming up so fast ladies, i am getting so excited!

I can recommend a Marriage commissioner to you, he not only fills out the paperwork with you and your witnesses, but he also gives you some little tips on how to put on the rings, sign the book etc during the actual ceremony to make for better photos and stuff. Good luck and Congrats! Hey, I will also be doing this the "top secret way" and i am curious who you used as your marriage commissioner. If you want to Private message me that would be great. Thanks, Amy

  15. If it makes you feel better, i have spent the last 7 months in Germany planning my DW and two AHR's with no help from my fiance. Whether you are with them or not you may not have that much help. I just packed up my life and returned to Alberta two days ago. I had my FIRST dress fitting and my wedding is next month. I am in panic mode big time, trying to pull everything together... the worst part is i am soo indecisive about so many things. Sooo you are not alone in the "doing too much" department.
  16. Welcome fellow Canuck, I find that planning a destination wedding is not stressful however if you are having at home receptions it gets to be a little more like a real wedding so just keep that in mind. If i were to do it over i wouldn't do an at home reception. I haven't had it yet but it just adds to the stress, hopefully i will feel differently after it is all said and done. good luck with everything
  17. Wow, This is unbelievable. I would looooose it. I hope you find the poor guy.
  18. My Fiance and i had the chance to stop by Amsterdam before leaving Europe to come home after living there for a loooong 7 months. Our photographer was amazing and also from Canada. She took a lot of photos by the canals but i haven't seen those ones yet. I will post more later...
