oh no, I am so sorry about this. I remember when our first dog died. He was hit by a car on New Years eve and I was completely devastated. Pets are family members and it's painful when they're gone.

Ok, I understand that you want this to be your day and it really sucks that she's been so negative about things, but you can't be upset that she's pregnant so soon, that's her life, not yours. I also think that a wedding is about the couple!! I'm not a fan of having bridesmaids b/c you have to include someone. She has said horrible things about you as a couple and there is no need for you to put up with that for the sake of the family. In the end she is their daughter and her pregancy is going to overshadow your wedding, it sucks but it's the truth. On the other hand, the pregnancy is a perfect way for you to veto her as a BM (in a nice way). In the end, you are going to have to be the bigger person and decide how you want your day to be. Let go of the negative and focus on you and your FI, you're the only ones that really matter!!

I always thought we'd get married in a big cathedral with the gorgeous princess dress (typical girl dreams). When we decided on Cancun, I was kind of scared b/c my dream dress wouldn't work. I think seeing the venue really helped me narrow down the type of dress I wanted. I would look at reviews for your venue and check out what the brides are wearing. It also helps a lot if you decide on the neckline (I always knew that I wanted strapless no matter what). Aww I love our FIs lol!! I think if all he wants to pick is what he wears and the honeymoon, you might have to let it go. I would definately push for a gray or navy suit though. It would go better with the beach backdrop. My mom wanted the guys in black suits and I just kept showing her pics of black suits on the beach vs tan suits. She agrees with me now that it doesn't look right. It would be like us wearing a big cathedral gown!!

i think the crystals would look really nice with the details of the dress. i do think that the flower might be a bit much b/c of the brooch in the neckline of the dress. maybe you could wear that type of flower (instead of a natural one) as a pin in your hair.

Yes!! It's like they think you don't remember what it was like to be single. But the thing is, you can only be there for someone as much as they let you. And you have to be careful to not let their negativity seep into your relationship or dampen your happiess. Being engaged is amazing and no matter what people say, they want to find someone too!! I'm there for my friends, but never at the cost of feeling guilty for being happy. I'm a big fan of taking care of you first, b/c in the end it will be just the two of you that really matter.

That sucks!! I would definately keep calling back. Don't use the extension just call the main number: 011 52 998 848 7000. When the person answers tell them you are calling from America (they jump at that) and you need to speak with Claudia (necesito hablar con Claudia). Once you get over the language barrier at the front desk, Claudia and Cecilia both speak english. Also if they put you through to her voice mail, don't leave a message. Call back and ask for Cecilia. One of them is always there. I will say that unfortunately to have a wedding at Dreams, you have to really let go. I have had several questions that are not answered. They just DO NOT EVER answer emails. I finally just had to take a deep breath and trust that they know what they're doing. The reviews I've read on this forum are very good, and the brides always say the same thing: no communication before the wedding, but amazing execution once you are there. Good luck!! We are having the dads wear linen suits too b/c I feel like they're part of the bridal party. I think that your dad should were a suit similar to the guys, especially if he is walking you down the aisle

They have soooooo many, that I'm sure you'll be able to find something off the rack. And they have amazing prices. My dress at two different shops was going to cost an extra $300!!!
