i was soooo nervous the first time. I did a full brazilian, it took about 15 mins and hurt like hell!!! but the results are so worth it. it gets easier as you keep going though.
we thought about doing the coins as well, but we aren't religious (more spiritual) and they represent Christ and the disciples (sp?) so we thought it'd be a little disrespectful. However if you are religious, don't not do it just because the ceremony isn't catholic.
GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!! sorry if this sounds bad but SCREW THEM, imo! people suck...it is all about the two of you. when FI and i decided on a DW, we knew it might just be the two of us and that's perfectly fine....50 years from now when youre both old and wrinkly it'll be just the two of you sitting on the couch enjoying your time together!
I chose Dreams (Cancun) b/c of the service, the WC, the price and the VIEW (don't know if this part would apply to you though, lol). But really for the amazing reviews, the wonderful service, etc, you can't beat the price!
congrats kym! we are actually having our honeymoon at El Dorado Maroma beach (south of Cancun) it only has 74 suites, all-inclusive, adults only. it looks fantastic, check it out

i agree with all the girls....if they come, they come. i'm sure the 12 that have booked are important to you. personally, i would love to have a smaller wedding (kinda hoping not everyone books)
what do you mean by "wait until I get there to book"? are you going on a site visit first? if so, then I would definately suggest narrowing it down to 3 or 4 resorts that you really like online and then booking after you see them and the wedding coordinators in person. that's what we did and ended up picking the one I thought we wouldn't choose, lol. it also depends on when you choose to have your wedding (high or low season). make sure you pick a hotel that has experience with weddings and also has a rain plan (just in case). you'll find hotels that range from 100/night to 700/night...it just depends on what you want. our resort (dreams cancun) is running at 980 per person all-inclusive with flight and airport transportation for 7 nights. however our wedding is in sept which is the LOWEST season b/c of rain/storms.
ladies i just got these really cute bags for oot guests at old navy. they are purple and have a dove on them (christmas i guess) and they were on clearance for .49 each!!!
the other bags that don't have the dove on them are $1 each so that's still not bad!
i love the first one (maybe b/c it looks like mine lol) but the second one is more fitted to you (is the first one too big?). they really are both beautiful dresses so go with the one YOU love!! If you don't, I can promise you that on your wedding day you're going to regret it and all you should be doing is enjoying YOUR day!!!

I know the final pics would be amazing and obviously he will love watching the real thing, but maybe it would take away from it some. Also when I did mine I was nervous at first and I don't think I could have done them in front of him.

It lets me go through oriental trading, but when I tried getting on this one, it said part of the site is not secure. I got on anyway and they have great bags for soooo cheap like you said. But then when I went to the check-out (just to try) mcafee said something about..."I agree that I am sending personal/confidential info to an unsecured sever..blah blah" so I got scared, lol!
it sucks b/c the bags are cute and CHEAP!!! but I'm a whimp when it comes to stuff like that b/c I've had my CC number stolen online!
playing cards at the dollar store (2 for a dollar) or wal-mart (2 for $2). kit fillers http://http://www.first-aid-product.com/
i found advil 50 packets (2 pills each) for $15. they have a bunch of stuff.
also, Old Navy has their $1 flip-flop days sometime in April/May.
hey ladies I just tried to get on this site and mcafee wouldn't let me b/c of security reasons; don't know if my security is too high but just be careful!
