i think the hotel info card. and don't be afraid to be pushy...you want the pics to look amazing and shorts won't cut it if that's not the look you're going for. we are putting "beach elegant attire--no white please" on the actual invitation and we went more into detail in our website. i put that the resort doesn't allow shorts in the location where the reception is being held so that way they have no choice in the matter.

i started planning right away and we had a little over a year before the wedding. you can start working on stuff but it doesn't mean you'll have do things everyday. I say the more time you have planning, the better. Have fun!!

wow, I'm so sorry to hear about all of the issues the resort is giving you ladies! that really sucks. the resort was my first choice from the pics online, but after the site visit we were so put off, it was a definate no. if any brides come across this thread and haven't booked yet, please please please do a site visit first

His marriage obviously ended and that new years we ended up at the same party...got drunk together, one thing led to another and the rest is history. the next week we went on our first official date like I had posted earlier. So I feel you on the fate thing...everything happens for a reason!!

so ladies are any of you concerned with the weather in Sept...leave it to us to choose the rainiest month of the year right, lol!! When we picked the date, people questioned it b/c of hurricane season and rain in general but I thought it'd be ok. Now that it's getting closer, I'm a little scared b/c I feel like if it rains all week, then I've ruined everyone's vacation

no i found them at the actual store. they are in the clearance bins towards the back. they only had 14 at that store, but last night I stopped by another old navy and they had tons (like 50). they weren't marked down so i took one to the cashier and asked her about the price difference and when she scanned it, it showed it was on clearance for .49 (they are normally $1) so just check even if they don't have a clearance sticker. so I got 35 bags for $18.76!!!!

glad your date is correct!!! we were going to stay at Secrets Maroma for the HM, but our TA convinced us to try El Dorado Maroma and it looks amazing as well. It's A LOT smaller (74 suites) and very laid back (not a party hotel). Secrets is the sister resort of Dreams (adults only as well as EDM). They are both on Maroma beach (top 10 beaches by Travel Chanel) and both are voted top most romantic hotels by trip advisor.

my BMs and I are going to the Alfred Angelo store in knoxville on mon to decide on dresses! Im soooo excited, i'll post pics when they decide!!!

congrats!!! well we have 8 months to go (give or take). I've slowly been buying things for the OOT bags. I've got the bags and a few fillers. and my dress will be coming in Feb i also ordered my real touch flowers last week. I guess the next big thing is the invitations.
