aliceo thats gorgeous!! are you doing the veil that long as well?; i love the look but i can't decide if i want mine long or not! -
hey supersonic! Its good to hear that the weather held up for you!! We are getting married at the gazebo and it gets breezy at my resort so instead of fans or parisols we are giving the women pashminas. we are also putting flip flops, first aid/hangover kits, shot glasses, magnets (that we got at cancun last year), a deck of cards, travel size sunscreen, sudoku puzzles, spanish phrases for dummies, and a welcome brochure in the OOT bags. I just finished and ordered the brochures from vistaprint!!! I'll post pics when they come in

Hi there I searched and searched and found that the most recommended person was Roberta from Plumerias Wedding Flower Boutique. I ordered my flowers last week. She's amazing, she answered all of my questions very quickly (and patiently)! They will be here in a few weeks but here's a pic of what they'll look like. If you search on here you'll find that other girls love her! Here's her site PlumeriasWeddingFlowerBoutique -

Cecilia was a pleasure to work with and everything was done beautifully. My hair and makeup, the flowers, the cake, all turned out exactly how I wanted, if not even better. I just got back from my honeymoon but will try to do a review soon.. One thing i wanted to mention was that we had a symbolic ceremony and had a minister by the name of Roxanne Fernandez and I read a post right before my wedding saying how she did a bad job on someones ceremony! But I wrote our own ceremony script and emailed it to Cecilia who gave it to the minister a few days before our wedding and Roxanne followed my script perfectly and I was really happy with her. I would sugggest taking a look at the ceremony script that they usually use because it may not suit everyone. I did not like it at all, it was very boring and religious and im very, very happy I wrote our own, it was more special. quick question...Did Roxanne have a strong accent/were you able to understand her well? That's my main concern!

hey lindsey if you go on the Dreams site, it shows you exactly what you need and how many days before hand you have to be there; when i was deciding b/t a legal or symbolic ceremony, i noticed that each resort had different rules. Dreams will take care of the certification and interpretation of documents for you as well as the blood tests. Also (if you don't know) I talked with Cecilia a/b writing our own ceremony and that I wanted an officiant who read and spoke English very well b/c I want our guest to understand what's going on. She said it wasn't a problem b/c we're just having a symbolic ceremony BUT with a legal ceremony, the judge performs the ceremony in SPANISH and there is a translator there; just something else to think about with a legal ceremony!

HAha! that is exactly what my FI said!! oh boys, lol we are doing the sand ceremony frame and i'm planning on carrying it on the plane; we're also staying at a different resort for the HM week so I hope it holds up well and the cleaning people don't drop it or something! -
definately check out the hawaii threads...also don't take on too much, concentrate on YOUR wedding; it's not your job to plan someone else's specially if they aren't even motivated...DO YOU FIRST!!!

I need a TTD dress!
carolina24 replied to jerzygirl85's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I just saw some dresses at jcrew that would be good for a TTD; they're like $200. I'm getting mine from victoria's secret b/c i want a 'just at the beach' look, but it wouldn't work for a church ceremony like you're having before; the jcrew ones would, imo -
ladies I ordered my flowers!! they'll be a little different than this (no blue or green). I can't wait to get them, I'll post pics of the actual product when they come in

Has anyone ever try to buy their way into being a BM?
carolina24 replied to Sylvie143's topic in Just venting or funnies
tell her to leave you alone; this isn't high school anymore..it's real life and there is no reason why you should have to put up with someone you don't like imo. and no sungoddess, it's not harsh, its reality (apperantly we think the same lol) -

We have requested the Ultimate package but do you know how much they charge for guest not staying at the hotel? Also does this charge go on top of the day charge for use of the hotel? A little mean if it does. Have emailed the wedding coordinator too but I too impaitent to wait. according to the WC you don't get charged if your guests arrive up to an hour before the ceremony and leave after the reception.

hi ladies, I checked and the last posts about this were in 2007/08 so I thought it'd be easier to start a new thread. has anyone been having issues lately? My pages/posts are super slow and taking forever to open and I've keep getting a timed out message saying that the server timed me out because my request would take to long. I'm using IE, is it better to use mozzilla/firefox or something? thanks!
