  1. what i always do is google what you want for free and vistaprint always comes up first. for example, just yesterday i was interested in brochures to use as welcome booklets and when i went directly to the website, they were 39.99 for 25...i googled "free brouchure templates" and vistaprint popped up. clicked on that and guess what?? magically the brochures were now FREE!! that's right 30 seconds later the same 25 brochures were FREE, just pay shipping. but like the ladies said, sign up for emails...got one a couple of days ago and they are having their semi-annual sale; lots of stuff for 90% off and .99 priority shipping for orders over $30
  2. ladies i have also felt like you, wished i had the big cinderella wedding(and dress haha) but now that its getting sooo close i'm really excited about our DW!! think about how AMAZING your pics will be, to get married at some exotic place with the people CLOSEST to you...very romantic!!
  3. ill definately let you all know what i have left when we get back
  4. great idea!!! i can't wait to see the process and you've definately started a new DIY!! where are you getting it printed/bound? I think you've given me another project!!
  5. when are you getting married? i'll have some stuff for sale after sept
  6. i like the second ones the best. definately go with fushia!! these are mine... humm don't know why the pic isn't showing up. are we doing something different with pics now, anyone know? sorry about the mini-highjack, lol update: that was weird, i had to use the insert pic icon and copy the url in the box, then re-size. i'll check out the bugs thread and see if im missing something, but anywho...there you go!
  7. my dress will be white and strapless, i'll post pics when i get my camera back futurewagners...where are those dresses from??
  8. i'm sorry this happened and i can only imagine how let down you are. but also remember that the FACTORY shut down, the bridal shop had nothing to do with it. i would definately be firm, but nice about the situation. as cindy mentioned, try the dress on again, talk to the seamstress and bring your mom or a friend along so that you have several people inspecting the condition of the sample. while you would normally get a discount on a sample dress, the bridal shop has said they would cover the cost of alterations so the discount might not be as much or you might not get one at all. good luck!!
  9. the resorts can do anything you want!! i've seen beautiful centerpieces, the problem for us was budget. the centerpieces that i posted would be around $60 per table at Dreams. By buying things here, I ended up spending $20 per table!! my WC quoted the gazebo decor at around $200, got everything here for $70!! and the chair sashes are $4 EACH at the resort, they are $1.19 online, and it goes on and on...just a thought
  10. @MrsTimpone, so cute!!! @simplnsweet: thanks!! I'm taking down 6, hoping to need 5, lol!! I originally wanted to take acrylic, but couldnt find any good ones that were tall like these so i definately bought tons of bubble wrap. i had to hide it from FI cause he's like a little kid and wants to pop all the bubbles
  11. i love that!!! so confession...i miss my ticker!!! :( i LOVE the new look of the forum though!!! just gonna take a sec to get used to the new navigating; but i miss seeing the little couple getting closer and closer. when i started on here last year, they were soooo far away and now we have less than 2 months to go. and i miss seeing everyone else's like the preg ones (soooo cute). anyway, second confession: i had NOTHING to do yesterday without you ladies!! i didn't have to work and there was no BDW...i was SOOOO BORED!! missed you all!!
  12. i think a snowy owl would be awesome in italy, very regal!! i love it, and since you're both in agreement i say go for it!!
  13. i'm sooo glad i can FINALLY post here!! my mom and i spent all day friday going from place to place till we finally settled on these and i LOVE them!! now how do i get all this stuff down to mexico!?!? LOL
  14. kat what i've learned through trial and error that works with my FI is my actions...if i ask him to do things or tell him how i'm feeling about stuff, he shuts me out, ie "nagging". if i SHOW him how i feel or what i need, he gets it. so in your case, i would've said "i have a headache", gotten MY stuff ready and left W/O taking the dogs out, making his lunch, etc. if you keep doing stuff like usual, he'll think you don't mind or that he's not doing anything wrong by not helping...
  15. thanks hon! cecilia said they seat 6 to 10. we're doing 5 tables of 8...i bought enough stuff for 6 centerpieces. i'll have my final guest count by next week, but it's looking like 40 people right now. also i a couple of posts back i posted the website were i'm getting sashes, if you're interested we can share those or the shipping if you want different ones. i'll be ordering them the second week of august... i love the idea of sharing, but please don't feel pressured!!

  18. not a huge fan of gift cards either, especially if your girls have really made your planning special. i'm getting the MOH a necklace, one BM a bracelet and the other one a ring, b/c that's what each of them really like in jewelry. i also got them personalized tote bags, BM and MOH tanks, and paying for mani's the day of the wedding. since you've only got a week...what is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about each of your girls?? maybe this will help you figure out gifts based on their interests
  19. i did just as the ladies have said...addressed it to the person we were close to with their partner's name underneath... Mrs. Emily Smith Mr. Bob Williams 1234 Street...etc

I know I sound materialistic, but I am to wear this ring for the rest of my life and we arent struggling financially. Confession 2: I am 28, he is soon to be 33, and we only have sex 2, maybe 3 times a MONTH, with my ex. who is my age (granted we broke up 3 years ago after being together for 8 years) it was sex non-stop, I miss making out! FH is not 'adventurious' either. Thanks ladies. Quote: Originally Posted by angelov321 OMG I completely understand how you feel!! I dont like my ring either. Like you said, we're stuck with the rings forever so we should be happy with the ring right?? :/ Quote: Originally Posted by miss_delerium When I read this, I was like..."Is this me? And I usually have to beg him for it, like some meth-addicted hooker. LOL. <-- yup laughing at my own joke My ex and I (who was closer to my age) had sex way more often too (but we broke up 5 years ago after being together for 6). Boo...are you sure you're not me from another "time line" LOL. glad to hear i'm NOT the only one!!! i'm 27, he's 32 and sex doesn't come often...it's actually become a sore spot for us. i however, had the SAME experience with my ex...we were the same age and the sex was very so so even when it did happen. i've talked to my mom about how things have been with FI and she said that it's more comon than people think. apparently all that crap that guys talk about with their buddies is just that--BULLSH*T!! many women want sex way more often than men do! uh-oh, confession coming... **i would LOVE to have sex 3 or 4 times...A WEEK** hello, i'm a scorpio, lol!! second confession, i've pretty much resigned to the fact that 3 to 4 times A MONTH will be my reality....
  21. holy crap, you definately win!! that is the craziest story i've ever heard! they should have just done something for the two of them and saved their guests the trouble!! i'm all for budget, but if you can't afford ANYTHING don't get married, lol!!
  22. ladies....i got sooo much stuff today!! we FINALLY got all of the items for the centerpieces and the gazebo decor. i also got the flower girl basket and a shell for the rings. my camera is acting up and i'll definately post a bunch of pics in my planning thread but here's a sneak pic... we bought the vases and the pebbles that go inside at walmart, the orchids at garden ridge, and the submersible leds and crystals at JoAnns Fabrics...i know kinda all over the place, but they are close by each other so it wasn't so bad i'm just glad it's all settled now and i can mark a few more BIG things off my list!! ps mrs.timpone, let me know what you think

I live in Florida and now none of my collegues can attend plus friends as this is our livelihood so we can't leave on such a important week. I cannot reschuedle the wedding as my perants and my FI children are flying from Europe so this is set. We have booked Ultimate Package plus DJ and lighted dancefloor. This was for the garden reception....... Now with such small numbers wont this look really silly and be a huge expense for just this amount of people, and 16 people with all the children on the big garden area.... also prehaps it is better for me to not take the ultimate but book the wedding a la carte as I dont need to pay for all the alcohol etc.... What would you ladies do in my situation? Has anybody had a smaller wedding? If so how was it? When I look at the reviews I only see 20+ people so I am not sure what I could do? I emailed Cecilia but know she is extremely busy this month so dont expect to hear back from her for a few weeks, in the interim any ideas you may have or notes on what you did prehaps for smaller weddings would be greatly appreicated... Thanks and take care Tori PS - All your weddings were beautiful! I would definately do something smaller. maybe you could have the reception in the terrace so you don't have to rent a dance floor. i definately would not have a dj or the ultimate package, unless you want pics and the video. after dinner maybe you could all go to the lobby where they have live music or to one of the clubs.
