Just like you I don't fill out the top; who do they make these dresses for, Pamela Anderson? Also, the length is way too long! I think I'll take it in a bit at the hip too because when the corset was tied it wasn't super tight and it was all the way closed...have to see what the professionals say. I want to see some pics of your shoes! ooooo i love hilton head!! i used to live in north carolina so the east coast has always been a vacation spot for me. i agree about the pam anderson comment...i could fit all kinds of stuff up there, lol!! the hip part was poking out a bit and they had the corset closed up all the way as well so definately looking into that. are you wearing a veil? my shoes (and dress) are at my parents' house. i'm going tom and taking pics of the shoes. i'll post them on here
  4. definately give EXACT pics. i'm from colombia and even with the language things get lost in translantion as you say... as for the make-up, remember that it will be much heavier than you'd normally do b/c of the pics. when i got my BD pics done for FIs birthday, i told the lady i wanted to look like myself, but flawless b/c FI doesnt like heavy make-up. when she was finished i thought 'holy crap'!! but she reasured me that it would look very natural in the pics and it did. if she had done it lighter, it wouldn't have held up in the photos! with the hair, you have to kinda work with what god gave you. for example, i really want sexy "beach" type curls but my hair is just way to heavy and it doesnt hold curl well, esp in humidity. i would make sure that whatever style you choose will work with your hair type, that way the actual day of the wedding they can spray the crap out of it and you know it'll hold. i wouldn't change up now....you've paid a deposit and your WC recommended them for a reason. trust her and i'm sure everything willl work out!!

  6. wow that really sucks for your FI!!! what a crappy "friend". all you can do is be there for FI and remind him that in the end you'll have fun with the people who really care about you!!

This one looks great on me and I think would be just perfect for my destination wedding: Brianna - by Maggie Sottero And this is the one I can't stop thinking about: Ambrosia - by Maggie Sottero Brianna is lighter and a little more simple, modern, and sexy. Amrosia is heavier (satin) but is just so stunning and really has that WOW factor. My own jaw dropped when I saw myself in it! But I'm not sure if it "fits" with the rest of the wedding, the feel of it. And it's a little more $$$ than I was hoping. So what's a girl to do? I'll go back in a few weeks and try them both on again, and maybe a few others, and see if it becomes more clear. But in any case I'm pretty sure I'll end up being a Maggie bride! Really love her dresses and the new 2010 line. I can't wait to post back what I end up choosing!!! i love the brianna dress!! it still has that WOW factor, but would fit more with a DW...its SEXY!!
  16. yay!! congrats, i'm so glad everything turned out great...i cant wait to see your pics and review!! it's nice to hear from another bride who used the resort photog!!
  17. yay congrats!!! it's cool how you got the blue in his band to go with your saphire, that'll be really pretty in your wedding pics!!
  18. awww honey that really sucks!!! when i was in a LDR i remember it helped if i literally took it one day or week at a time. so instead of thinking 5 LONG weeks, think to get through this week for now. it'll be friday before you know it and then get through the next week and so on. I know it's easier said than done. also make sure that you have good phone conversations (some kinky ) and don't put too much pressure on your next visit. you'll make it, and if you need any support, we're all here to listen!!
  19. to be honest you should concentrate on what YOU and your FI want first and then think of the guests. if jan gives you more time and you would be less stressed then do jan. as for the reception, write out a budget (for you) and go from there. you're going to get completely stressed out if you concentrate so much on the guests b/c at the beginning everyone's all excited and saying they'll definately come, next thing you know people are trying to put their two cents in and giving an opinion or opposition to most of your ideas, and in the end there are people who were "definates" that dont come and some who said they couldn't make it that do!! in other words...DO YOU FIRST!!
  20. we're getting them in ivory. our main wedding color is persimmon but i wanted to get them in ivory so that they can go with anything
