Only problem is, they both want 4 nights each with their spouses. It's crazy.... but basically, since they are going to be away from home, and they aren't going to be making money out of us, they want to enjoy some sun on their own with their wives (and they want the 4th day because they will be shooting us for 3). What would you guys do.... all in all, if you figure in that I'm getting a full day photo and video, and a a beach/cenote video and photo shoot , and possible more which all together would probably normally cost 6 grand! so you would be paying the 900 and their stay for four nights? that seems a little pricy (sp?) but you are getting three days so it would balance out. i just know that for that kind of money i would go with del Sol (but it would only be for the day of the wedding lol)!!

Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket wow awesome deal!!! congrats

We did a couple of excursions together, but we didn't decide on them until we got down there. Planning every minute of a vacation is no fun for people, including yourself! so i know it has nothing to do with this buti just saw your siggy and had to say CONGRATS on the twins!!!!! ok sorry
  7. yay thank you!!! i sent you a pm about paypal last night
  8. i agree with your FI in this situation. it's a vacation, so relax and enjoy. plus the day of the wedding will be planned enough. we are doing a welcome dinner on wed, the rehearsal on thurs and the wedding on fri. those are our only "scheduled" events. i want to spend time with our friends and familiy, but i don't want to have to worry about events or activities. plus many of your guest are prob using this as their vacation too, so i'm sure they would rather it be laid back

  12. no prob...i was the only one on for a while lol!! we'll definately have to plan a cocktail when we're there! yay for the junior member status!!!!!
  13. well if you are only having 16 ppl, many resorts offer "free weddings" provided you stay for a certain amount of time. these are the "minimal" ones you talked about. at our resort (Dreams Cancun), the most expensive package is $2700 for a max of 20 ppl and this includes the ceremony, reception (with food and drinks), photog, video, your bouquet, his bout (plus 2 more for moms), cocktail hour, a mexican trio (you can use this for the ceremony or cocktail or reception), your make-up and hair, steaming your dress and his outfit, and they give the groom a room for the night before the wedding (if you don't want to stay together). they have other packages as well so you could check the website. I think you could definately do a DW on a $6000 budget, you just have to do some research. as for the bridal party, when we asked our friends to be in the wedding, we made it clear that it was a DW and we would completely understand if they couldn't afford it, ie we are not paying for anyone!! if you give people enough time to plan and budget it shouldn't be an issue.
  14. wow crazy!!! back and forth crap doesn't work for me either....and i love how your FI said the ex GM could just buy his own outfit!! men just don't get it. well as much as it sucks, you're right to just buy him one just in case...at least you know your pics will be fabulous
  15. congrats!!! everything looked great. i LOVE the pic of you and DH sitting on the grass with your dress spread out...very pretty
  16. congrats and welcome!!! check out reviews on here of resorts in Cancun. that would help you narrow things down, good luck

  20. hi vdaybride, do you think that the paisley ones look better than the plain ones? do you remember if they had paisley in ivory (i didn't see it on the website). thank you soooo much!!
