thanks so much chris; i cant' believe it either!!! four weeks from today i will be getting married, i'm getting so nervous and everytime i think about walking down the aisle i cry, lol!!! Â as for the veil, once again i say go for it!! but i personally wouldn't do a cathedral length cause it wouldn't go with my dress...but i have seen some gorgeous pics with those veils

i have a veil cause i figure when else can you do it?? and ive always wanted a veil regardless. when i went for my site visit, cecilia told me that she has pinned the veil onto bride's dresses and it works out. i say go for it!!

ladies one month from today for us!! as much as i want to get married, i'm also sooo excited for the much needed vacation!! can't wait to get to dreams!

how exciting!!  I actually used the forum to write my ceremony. this thread is AMAZING!! it took me awhile to get through it all but it was well worth it!  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/21660/share-your-ceremony-script  I think there are a couple of options for additional hours. We are adding two hours as well, but we chose the ones that don't include as many pics as posted above. Our's is $250 per additional hour. Also many of the brides on here comment that once they receive their pics and album, they are offered the cd with all of the pics for $500...DONT pay this amount!! EVERYONE i've talked to says to negotiate, and most brides get the cd for around $300

don't worry about it hon...I had the same thing happen with 2 of my "friends"...they had hook-up buddies when we got engaged and got pissed when i said they weren't invited to the wedding, not only cause i wasn't going to pay for these nobodies, but because i wanted only people close to us at the wedding. at first they were "understanding" about it, but they started making rude comments to other people about our wedding and kept bugging my MOH about inviting their "others". I put a stop to it right away, and needless to say, we don't talk anymore and its definately for the best!! i really believe that major life events (weddings, babies, etc) show you who your real friends are!!

 KelZavs answered many of your questions....I do know that you can switch out the cocktail hour for more people at the reception (I think 10 or 15 more guests). My appointment at the spa is at 11 am and our wedding starts at 4 pm. It's for me, 2 BMs, 1 MOH, my mom and FI's mom. We're getting our hair done, my make-up done, and mani's. The photographer is coming to my room at 3 pm to take "getting ready" pics so I wanted to have plenty of time without stressing out.  6 weeks?!? When's your wedding date? We're getting married sep 24th  I sent my invitations in june and had the rsvp due aug 1st. I wanted 6 weeks between the rsvp and the wedding to get last minute OOT bag stuff, have enough time to order the right amount of sashes, favors, etc.  yay congrats!!! glad to hear everything came out great! Â

we're doing a private welcome dinner and paying for 2 extra hours of photography, I think we might get the lighting for underneath the tables too. cecilia said she would throw in the sound system for the ceremony.

ladies your showers looked great!! i have one this sunday and one on the 29th!! can't wait! so I went to get my passport today and it was craziness!!! apparently, Colombia changed their travel document laws and, long story short, I'd have to wait SIX months for my passport!!!! I almost died! I cried my eyes out to the consulate and she was so nice and found a loop-hole for me so now I have a temporary passport valid for the next six months...THANK GOD!!! lets see what else....my final dress fitting is aug 20th, sooooo excited! and i've started putting my planning thread together; i'll post a link to it here when it's all done that's it for now!!

when i first got engaged, i'd take my ring off to get in the shower b/c i was scared i'd lose it while washing my hair, lol!! so not a silly question at all. anyway, i never take my ring off anymore, except when i'm getting it cleaned at the jewelry store

we are definately waiting until we switch resorts...i really want to enjoy our first morning together as husband and wife; i've already scheduled breakfast in bed and our couples massage for later that morning; i just didn't have to worry about anything wedding related the day after, i want a nice relaxing morning!! but i also want the beautiful sunrise, so we are waiting...just my 2 cents

hi ladies...just a thought, but i'm having a bit of a hard time getting used to this new forum so i was thinking that once we get back from our weddings and post our reviews, maybe we could post a reply on THIS thread letting everyone know that the review is up; might be a bit easier...at least for me, lol!!!

why does he want to get "officially", ie legally married now? if you've been together for so long as you say, then another year wouldn't be such a big deal. FI and I are getting legally married 1 week before the wedding because we don't want to deal with the hassle of getting documents translated, blood tests, etc. only our parents know that we are going to the courthouse that week....ALL of the other guest think that the "official" wedding is in mexico. to us, THAT is our actual wedding day and the courthouse is just a formality. i'm just thinking that if you go to the courthouse a whole year before the actual wedding, someone will end up finding out and your wedding in the bahamas will lose steam...people might still come, but it could end up being just a celebration of your marriage, not your WEDDING, kwim?? if i were you, i would wait to sign all the paperwork until it was much closer to the Oct 2011 date..after all, if you were getting married at home, you wouldn't go to the courthouse a year before you had the actual wedding, would you?

i definately think you should hold off on asking anyone to be in your bridal party until you decide on a date and youre around a year out from that set date. by then things might change with your sister, or with your best friend. however, i don't think that you should feel obligated in anyway to choose someone to be your MOH just because they are your family. i've been doing most of the planning for the wedding but my MOH has been amazing in planning little details and sending me emails and pics of ideas...she's made this time in my life really special and every bride deserves that.

awww it makes me so sad to hear that people would call cancun trashy!! I've been to Cancun 3 times in the past 3 years and i LOVE IT!! the resorts are amazing, the different colors of the water, the beaches, i could go on and on and on. like steph said...you will always have someone complaining about something. but i can assure you that when FI and I got engaged, we immediately knew that we'd get married in cancun..it's an amazing place and you won't be dissapointed!!
