  1. im hoping they bump us, but if they don't i'll pay the fee anyway b/c i want to surprise FI with this
  2. im so sorry you're going through this....she has NO excuse in my book. honestly, i wouldn't even take the money for the dress. it's really sad that in the end you can't depend on someone who you are so close to. write her off and concentrate on YOUR DAY!!! in the end you and h2b will be soooo happy that stupid people won't even matter
  3. wow hadn't though about this either! are you gonna play the song in the background while someone is doing the reading for the ceremony? or while you are pouring the sand? do you then wait till the song's over before moving on?
  4. make sure he gets it done at least 6 weeks in advance to give it time to heal especially since you'll be in the sun/pool/ocean
  5. so ladies i thought i'd bump this..... the title doesnt really go with my question (well maybe ) so i've seen several threads about wedding night lingerie and it made me think...how many of you, now wifeys, actually had a romantic or even sexual wedding night?? I know you're gonna have fun at the reception and end up drunk, but I guess I just don't want to regret anything. do any of you regret not having amazing "we're married" sex that night??
  6. i was thinking of doing the aras; my parents did it (it's a catholic/spanish tradition). but once i did some research, i realized that it's kinda religious....the aras represent jesus and his 12 disciples. FI and i aren't religious at all so i thought it might be disrespectful to do it. what do you think?
  7. i'm not wearing a bra bc its built into my dress. but definately wearing some sexy lace panties. on a side note...don't know about you, but i'm thinking FI (then hubby ) and I will be a bit tipsy by the time we head upstairs so maybe a corset will be too much to deal with, lol!!
  8. so i checked our website today and....159 days to go!!! holy crap its getting close!!! i cant wait to see all of your reviews and tons of pics. since being on here it feels like i'm a little part of all of your weddings, lol!! I <3 my sept brides!! welcome pink petals!!!

I have emailed her 5 times since I heard about this and i FINALLY got an email back. I am crushed. How could they do this?! I booked that gazebo a YEAR AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is insane. You can bet your ass they are going to compensate us for this (not that that could possibly make up for this) but considering that after I got measurements I had drapes made specifically based on those measurements, and considering we ALMOST went with the Palace who gave us a better quote but chose Dreams BECAUSE of the gazebo. I'm sorry I know I'm rambling but I am just in shock. She wasn't even going to tell me. That's not right. I am so sorry about this! she definately should have told you! I can't imagine how you must feel. Please don't let this ruin the most special time of your life! I saw on FB that they have a gazebo set up in the garden...I know it's NOT THE SAME at all, but try to hang in there. and definately get some compensation for this!!! good luck babe let us know about your amazing day!
  11. dreams resorts are gorgeous, you won't be dissappointed. however, just be aware that they don't have a great track record with communication. it usually takes my TA several days to weeks to respond to emails. although i always have luck when i call her. she's great and very helpful, and she made me feel super comfortable during our site visit (like you said this is very important since all the decisions are made from here). but sometimes its a little frustrating when the communication isn't there. just a heads up...

  13. congrats it look great on you!!! isn't that such an exciting call to get?!?
  14. we're actually having the BMs walk in alone (the GM will already be up there) so you could always do that.
  15. wow ladies i just went through a roller coaster of emotions catching up on these recent posts!!! i cant believe they didnt inform the brides who would be affected, even if they set up a temporary gazebo. i get that they're busy, but that is a BIG detail, especially since it's something they obviously planned on doing. good luck to all of you april brides, im sure everything will be amazing on your wedding days!!!

LOVE maggie!!!
  17. i know exactly how you feel!!! i finally just had to look at my list and start cutting things out and somehow being "ok" with that. people say to me "oh don't worry you still have five months" but with work its hard to get things done and time is flying by!!!
  18. our resort gives the groom a room for the night before the wedding so he'll be staying there. that morning im having breakfast with my mom and then meeting the girls at the salon. FI and I won't see each other until i'm walking down the aisle, but that's how i've always wanted it...so in conclusion....do what makes you comfortable, not what people think you should be doing!!
  19. youre not the only one vdaybride! im seriously considering taking a simple container for the wedding and then doing the frame here once i have my wedding pics. glad to know i'm not the only one!! dont remember what thread its in but the link for the instructions is the same as this How-To Guide To Make the Sand Ceremony Frame - Bridalinsider.com

We were at the edge in front of them so people could see us, and the poles for the gazebo are so small I'm sure everyone could see the bridal party too. I guess if you have a bigger bridal party it would make sense to switch that up since they might not all fit under the gazebo. We just used their ceremony vows since my goal was not to cry and if I wrote my own vows I knew I would. It was nice and the lady officiant was really sweet and easy to understand. It's funny that I don't remember when we signed the certificate, I'd say before our final vow and kiss....good reason to watch my video tonight so I can report back!! yeah i really liked how they stood inside the gazebo and you and hubby were on the edge. we have 3 BMs and 3 GM so hopefully it will work out like that. do you know if your lady officiants name is in your paperwork anywhere? this is what i'm most stressed about bc i've seen in other reviews that the officiants were extremely hard to understand and that's just something i'm not willing to gamble on!! again thank you soooo much for all the info!!
  22. i think its best if your mom or MOH call everyone on the list that hasn't RSVP'd buy the deadline and explain to them that the resort needs a final headcount. that way they are forced to tell you one way or the other. that's what we'll be doing.
  23. i think thats the usual etiquette but since we're doing a DW, i felt like i had to do things with more time for the guests. welcome theend!!! getting closer everyday
