I'd have your mom or FI carry them
  4. hey ladies just thought i'd share the site that i'm getting my sashes from. they are a little more than the site that's been posted, but i ordered several samples from them and just couldn't get the right color. the site i'm using has colors that match david's bridal colors so i thought it'd be easy to go into a store and chose the exact color you want, then order from the site. and they have super fast shipping, i placed the order on mon and got the sample on weds!! 5. check out this site. Roberta is amazing to work with!! PlumeriasWeddingFlowerBoutique these are my flowers except instead of the deep blue and green, she's adding more fushia, white, and orange. and you can choose what type of flowers you want. I told her what flowers i DONT like and she's going from there. good luck!!
  6. awww that was so sweet!! yay now you have 2 awesome dresses!!

Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Michael, please place the engagement ring on Jennifer’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage. we are having the ring bearer carry all three rings down and she will hand the rings to the minister when asked for them (she's 12 so it's a little different). if you're planning on the BM/MOH holding the rings, then he can give it to FI when needed.

So are you trying carolina24? not trying trying, but we're not using any protection either. granted, i'm a little away from the wedding and i DO NOT want a baby bump when i'm walking down the aisle, but if/when it happens we'll be super excited :) once we get back from the wedding, then we're gonna really start trying, counting days, taking temps, etc!!

The rates on orbitz and such are GREAT, but when I actually go to the airline to directly purchase from them, the price jumps to $500-600, almost $200 more than the EXACT same flight/airline found on Orbitz. I don't get it at all. I'm having the same problem though. Flights were around $350 a few months ago and all of a sudden jumped and I try to book the flight all the way to where I can choose seats and guess what, the flight is practically empty! I can sit whereever I choose, I don't know where they get off pricing it so high when they've only sold 2% of total seats. And it says the 'promotional seats' have been sold out, huh, what?? You had 2 promotional seats and the rest are twice as much? I'm going to keep checking every day. My thought is that the prices can't really jump much more past $600 during the summer months (can they??) and if anything they will stay that high or maybe go down once it's July (?). My wedding is still more than 6 months away, but I'd like to book my flight and inform my guests who still haven't booked asap. Wish I would have booked when I first saw the tickets so cheap, but wasn't 100% sure on my dates yet...kicking myself for that! How long do you think rates will stay high for summer travel (even though my wedding is in November)...not sure why they'd increase those prices as well? we booked our room rates with TA Jill, but the flights I booked on Orbitz. I ALWAYS book on Orbitz and I've NEVER had any issues with them. We're getting married in Sept, which is the super slow season. I think things start picking up in Nov (winter months) but I really believe prices will go down. On the other hand, I've never booked directly with the airlines b/c I think their prices are so much more than other places. As I'm sure the TAs will point out, secondary bookings (i.e. orbitz, expedia, hotwire, etc) run the risk of being "bumped" if the flight or hotel gets full, but like I said before this has NEVER happend to me...even during high season and holidays. I just don't think it's worth paying $600 for something I can get for half the price!!
  10. when we started looking flights from ATL non-stop were 330 and then they jumped to 650!! they recently went down to 270 and we jumped on them. I signed up for email alerts at tripadvisor and orbitz and just kept a look out each week till they dropped. I'm sure they'll go back down...good luck!!
  11. i feel the same way!! i'm colombian and going from gonzalez to tompkins, crazy!!
  12. don't forget to use the search function it'll make your life sooo much easier.... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...estions-56113/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...e-visit-54913/
  13. i would definately stay away from wedding or specialty stores b/c they jack up the price
  14. i voted for number two because I think with all the alterations you're planning on doing to number 1, it will completely lose the shape. it's really hard to alter mermaid type dresses!! good luck
  15. awww that's so sweet, and you have an awesome pic of it!!! congrats
  16. you've lost 5 lbs already?? I need to get on that couch25k program, I say I'm gonna start every week and i never do, but it's crunch time!!! YES YES YES, i still don't believe it's really happening!!! when we got engaged in july, it was like 14 months away and now....148 days to go...a little over 4 months...holy crap!!! btw make sure you post pics of your dress it's so exciting that i'll know somebody there, this site is great

Im excited (which is strange!) Lol not strange at all!! I was super excited when I went a few weeks ago. she gave me pre natal vitamins too (its supposed to be good to have in your system before getting pregnant) my hair and nails look fabulous, lol!!
  18. i think it's great BUT make sure you word the invites carefully and get the word out as to what you want to "use" on your HM. I personally would hate to get a bunch of condoms, trashy lingerie (sp), or sex toys.
  19. i think it really depends on how you envisioned the AHR to be. for example, we're just doing dinner and drinks along with pics/video of the wedding. but some brides go all out for AHRs...they wear their dress, do special dances, cake cutting, centerpieces, etc. if you wanted something like that, then i think you'd be dissapointed with a pre-wedding reception b/c you're not married yet and wouldn't want to do all those things before it's official. if not i say go for it!! less to worry about when you get home...only food for thought is do you think your guests will feel "cheated" if they dont get to see wedding pics/video??
  20. yay!!! that's soooo exciting, congrats
  21. it sucks if you don't get the perks for the amount of nights you're booking, but like someone posted earlier, people have different ideas of vacation time. Yes they are coming down for your wedding, but also using this time as vacation time. I'm sure the guests aren't worried about the perks you get as a bride if they book at the resort. If the wedding was at home, they would only be there for that day or so, kwim? bottom line, I don't think that you should worry about paying the day passes for guests that choose to stay at a different resort or the transportation costs, just make sure the guests are made aware of these fees and how much they can cost, this might make them change their mind. good luck!!

I was leaning towards just us and immediate family and a Hawaiin waterfall. Now to accomodate everyone we are doing a family friendly resort for 2 weeks in Mexico and people still arent booking - what can I do to get them to book? sorry I am just really regretting my decision, wished we had said f off to everyone and just went to Hawaii and spent half of what we are spending for a wedding that isnt what either one of us wants! from what a lot of the brides here say, people wait till the last minute to book and before you know it, you'll have more people booked than you thought. we're less than 5 months away and NO ONE has booked yet. I mean NO ONE (FI and I and MOH and guest...that's it)! It doesn't bother me b/c FI and I wanted to get married in Mexico regardless of people being there or not. i'm sorry that you're regretting your decision, but in the end you'll be marrying your FI and that's all that matters, plus Mexico is beautiful!!! even though I'm biased sorry i had to edit b/c i just saw that you're getting married at secrets maroma...that's our HM resort!!! now I'm even more biased lol, I'm sure you'll have an amazing time!
