I actually wrote mine using this thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-script-21660/ I honestly read through all of them and copied/pasted the parts I liked as I was going along. Then arranged/added/took away certain things. It took a couple of hours and I go back and read it every now and then and make adjustments. I'm glad I did it this way b/c FI and I aren't religious but we still wanted something spiritual...I love our script
  2. you're welcome ladies!!! glad I could help (with someone else's help )

Do they charge you to do a test run the day before? (as long as there is an available slot). I want to see how to space my girls' and my walk down the aisle during the song (I'm using one song that is long instead of many songs that get cut off in the middle). I want to walk down during the culminating part :-D there's no charge for the rehersal...we're doing ours and then going to one of the restaurants for dinner. as for the hotel rates...do not book directly with the resort!! I would definately recommend TA Jill from this site. I started out with a local TA and he sucked!! TA Jill has been awesome to work with and she has amazing prices!!
  4. btw, I just saw this on another thread. It's about double the cost of the Umbra frame everyone seems to be using (the one you have to glue yourself) but it's actually made for the sand ceremony so everything is done for you and it comes with the containers for the two different sand colors. maybe you could use this instead Unity Sand Ceremony Frame by SayAnythingDesign on Etsy
  5. i think you can definately skip the menu and programs. concentrate on the table numbers and seating arrangement...and on HAVING FUN!! good luck
  6. hey ladies, I'm using the frame for the sand ceremony and once you have it in front of you, it really isn't so complicated. the only thing that can happen is that the sand shifts when your coming back home. some of the brides have done a re-do once they get home. I'm thinking about using the vases they let you borrow at Dreams and then just doing the actual frame once we get back, especiallly since we will be changing resorts for the honeymoon. we'll see...
  7. congrats on getting the guys' stuff!! I've seen some great pants and shirts at macy's but FI is dragging his feet, lol! btw coco is too cute, happy early bday

I'm not that worried about timing (want something beachy and simple), but do feel some pressure seeing that you all are on first/second fittings. ) Oops. I've got everything else pretty much done, or on track, but I've been procrastinating with the dress. I have so much stress about this and I am honestly not looking foward to trying on dresses. I'm sure that I'm freaking out for nothing and that it will actually be a wonderful experience. I find that, over the past three weeks, I've been stressing over things for no reason (just too much on my plate with wedding, work and daily life). The one bad thing about planning a destination wedding (for me) is that I'm constantly second guessing myself...I go in one direction and then think something else might be better. I did a mini table/centerpiece mockup the other day and my fiance and his family loved it (it is pretty) and all I could do was see the flaws. I've planning tons of events in the past, but never for myself. I am my worst client ever! I would love to have extra cash to hire a wedding coordinator. All of this is putting me in the worst funk. I know I'll get over it. I think the diet of only 800 calories a day is partly to blame. Ha ha. Thanks for listening...it is nice to just get it out there. Just a little wedding/life breakdown. xoxo, tt 800 cals a day?!?!? i'd be in a funk too!!! I know how you feel though, I think we all put too much pressure on ourselves. just remeber that everything will be amazing on your wedding day! and believe me...when you go for your dress appts, you'll have sooo much fun!!!!

We are planning on a noon ceremony in the gazebo, and from what we remember when we vactioned there 2 years ago, the wind definitely was more noticeable in the afternoon/evening compared to the morning and early afternoon. Can anybody share your experience if your ceremony was earlier in the day? we did our site visit last year and the apt was for 1 p.m. the gazebo was still VERY windy then!!! i think it's because of the location on punta cancun so it's really a coin toss in regards to the wind. i do agree with lilz that a noon wedding might be super hot, even with the wind!!
  18. i have a sony handycam with a touch screen and i LOVVVE it!! it's small and so easy to use. and uploading is super quick. all you do is plug it into the computer and you're good to go
  19. it's your wedding and you should have the dress you LOVE. i know it seems like a waste of money that you already bought one but you need to go back and get the one you fell in love with. maybe you could sell the one you bought on here (everyone has different views as to what looks good). i really think that if you don't get the one you love you're gonna regret it FOREVER!! remember you'll be looking at those pics for the rest of your life...go for it!!!
