  1. it's not water/sweat proof at all!!! I would really be careful with a white dress...think stage-type make up. thick so it can cover up and you have to do touch-ups through out the night.
  2. definately pace yourself!! we had a blast in vegas last year. gambling was fun because we were together. we mainly did the slot machines lol. we stayed at the mgm and watched the lions for a bit. we also saw ka by cirque du soleil, wasn't really impressed but i've heard that mystere is really good. i do regret not going to a burlesque type show, it would've been a fun couples thing! we went to the hoover dam and grand canyon for a day...this was AMAZING but I wouldn't recommend going in one day because it's like a four hour drive and we didn't get to enjoy the canyon as much as we'd like. there is the sky bridge which is about an hour from vegas. it's supposed to be awesome to walk out onto the canyon on glass, but i remember it being really expensive for the experience and FI and I really wanted to see the biggest part of the canyon. might do the sky bridge when we go back. definately stop and enjoy the fountains at the bellagio and the gardens as well, beautiful flowers. also, make sure to have dinner at night at the top of the eiffel tower, it overlooks the fountains and light show, we missed it, but heard it's extremely romantic. also freemont street is really cool, make sure to stay for the light show at night it's worth it. good luck
  3. i was going to say the same thing about the corset, maggies make any bride look amazing!!
  4. the pricing is on their website. it really depends on what package you choose. also remember to include your accomadation costs in your budget. I would definately recommend talking to a travel agent, everyone knows how much I love TA Jill. She's from this site and works with the Dreams resorts. Good luck with everything!
  5. definately normal, water retention and your bloated, it sucks!! if you're worried about it happening around your wedding you can always use a diuretic. I would try it the month before just to see if you get any side effects.
  6. we didn't have an engagement party, but my mom and MOH are throwing showers and inviting all of our friends, even those not invited to the wedding.
  7. your pics are GORGEOUS!!!! congrats, you looked beautiful and soooo happy!
  8. question ladies, when you do the bikini area, are you doing the whole thing like a brazilian or just around your legs? also I've heard it doesn't work as well on darker skin tones, doesn anyone have any experience with this? I am colombian and have kind of an olive skin tone. thanks ladies!!
  9. thank you ladies, guess I'll stick with the hard wax. wendy: I want to do the laser hair removal too!! don't know if you've seen this thread, but it's answered some of my questions. I'm just scared because they say it works better on lighter skin tones. I'm gonna set up a consultation after the wedding, since I won't be in the sun after sept. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...riences-58300/
  10. you are so right! I got upset yesterday because yet another rsvp came in with a "will not attend". it was one of my mom's friends who i barely know, so it wasn't that specific person not coming that upset me, it was the fact that it feels like no one is coming. FI was super sweet and said all we needed was him, me, and a minister and we know the three of us will definately be there, lol!! I feel better now. btw...FI FINALLY made a decision and bought his shirt and the guys' shirts!!! They are by this brand called Cubavera, that I saw at Macy's for $60 each. Well we found them at Marshall's for $20!! Now we just need the shoes, pants, and FI's jacket
  11. question ladies...do they use the strips with wax or the hard wax on you? if you've had both, which one is easier? the couple of times i went, she used the hard wax so i was wondering if there was a reason for using one method or the other. thanks!
  12. thank you soooo much for the great review!!! I'm glad everything turned out so well, can't wait to see the rest of your pics congrats
  13. why is that rude?? not at all, maybe that it's coming from you personally (as the bride). My MOH is throwing my bachelorette party and FI's BM is throwing his party. they will be on the same night and we will all meet up at the end. I have no idea what the plans are that night, but I know that my MOH is getting money from everyone for whatever goes on that night. No one has reacted negatively, they are all super excited. Good luck
  14. here's the link, I LOVE my hanger The Original Silver Lingerie Wedding Dress Hanger by lilafrances
  15. sooo FI's aunt and uncle from England are definately not coming AND his BM's wife just found out she's pregnant, so he doesn't know if he'll be able to make it!!! I feel so bad for FI, we were talking about it and he got all sad and said that no one will be there for him i told him that i know it's not the same, but my family really loves him and will be there for him just as much as for me...it sucks, i don't like to see him upset! silver lining: he's getting promoted at work!! I'm soooo proud of him, he's amazing and no one deserves it more ok had to vent a little, thanks for listening!
  16. oh my, ladies...i'm starting to get nervous now. how long before this ash cloud dissipates?? FI's parents are flying in from england for our wedding in sept, and although it's four months away, I guess you never know. of course in the US we havent heard much recently, due to our short memory span . so ladies across the pond...keep us posted!! thank you!

  18. thank you sooooo much for this thread!! I'm getting married at the Dreams Cancun gazebo in Sept and was wondering about this. the gazebo is way smaller than RPDC's but still has a roof, so this info is really helpful

  21. I think that's pretty standard for a bouquet. Mine was 140 with shipping, I get it in a couple of months I was going to get my hair flower from the same lady (Roberta who is awesome!!) but I decided to wait and look for it "in person" at michaels (they carry real-touch flowers) and I LOVE getting stuff in the mail!!! it's like christmas every few weeks
