I don't FEEL like i'm getting as good of a workout, even though its supposed to be better. Guess I need to get back to the couch to 5k program....thanks for the motivation!! Glad to help! I know the feeling, my mile run always took 30 minutes when I was in school lol. I've always been overweight (read: 200+) so being 170 is new for me, I look forward to the day of being in the 150's. I want to try swimming, as soon as I learn how to swim, so I may just take up this boxing class to mix it up with the running. It takes so much to get out the bed to go run, but I think I'm addicted to the euphoria after you run..lol However, if you are losing inches and not losing weight, you are probably just gaining muscle which is just as good! Keep with it!
  2. you can using something like evite.com, which is what my friends used for my baby shower. I have my wedding website at Wedding Planning Guide and Free Wedding Websites - mywedding.com, and they have a tool that allows guests to RSVP through the website.

It was my first 10K so I was focused on finishing without walking. The 10K consisted of 2 laps around the campus, wheras the 5K was only 1 lap, so it was a little disheartening to see people cross the finish line to finish, while you are crossing for lap 2. I started off slow to run with my sorority sister until she stopped to walk around 1.5 miles, plus she was only doing the 5K, so then I just sped up to see how many people I could pass before I finished. It started raining a little around mile 5, so I felt like a real runner even though my thighs were screaming by then. It was such an amazing feeling to finish, the University of Arizona marching band was playing, people were cheering, and I could see the finish line, and I just had this tremendous burst of energy and looked past the sore thighs to finish strong. I still can't believe I did it. I had actually managed to almost catch up with my friend who was far in front, and finished 2 minutes behind her. It was a great accomplishment and I can't wait to do it again in January. Thanks for asking!

I believe Foxy mentioned her hubby wore Natural Linen to go with her dress. My dress is ivory too but I was wondering if there was another color that could go as well. Also, are you guys going to make all your GM's and FI match? Are you just getting a suit for FI and pants for the GMs? I'm just curious to see if it really matters. My colors are Lilac/Turquiose Blue/Ivory if you have any advice for me. All of them are wearing the Beige Linen suits from StuioSuits.com with ivory shirts, except the GM will have claret ties and claret pocket squares and my husband will have an ivory tie with ivory pocket square. My son, who will be 19mths by then, will have an ivory tie like his daddy. My husband didn't want it to be too casual, so he wanted all of them wearing jacket and pants.

  6. 43.75 + 2.0 = 45.75 (Winding down for the 10K tomorrow!)

When I stop checking in, my eating and exercise habits go down the drain. I gained 40 pounds in the past year (crying inside)!! I need to get it off. I started going to the gym a couple months ago but have only lost 5 pounds. Now I need to drop 35-ish before the end of February. I don't think it's going to happen. Not that it's not theoretically possible...I just can't seem to lose that much that quickly. And I certainly have a hard time pushing myself hard enough to make it happen. When it comes to weight loss i realized it was all mental for me. I was already overweight when I got pregnant last year, 200lbs, and then gained an additional 60lbs during the pregnancy, and still had 30lbs left over from the pregnancy by the time my son was 10wks old, which was in March of this year. Yep, 230lbs. I made a decision to lose the weight, after first making a quick trip to the donut shop , because I can't be 230 with a toddler. I'd be exhausted! So, I started with the 1st day to 5K running program, a strength training program my friend gave me, and the Extreme Fat Smash Diet. I lost 9lbs in the first 3 weeks. By the time I finished the 1st day to 5K program, 10wks, I had lost 30lbs and brought me back down to 200lbs. But, instead of quitting and just being happy to be back at 200, I kept going, ran some 5Ks, and currently training for a 10K, and now I'm down to 170lbs...staring at the oh so elusive 160s..lol But, I've lost 60lbs since March, and I have asthma. It takes hard work, but it can be done. Trust me, this is coming from the person who joined the Marching Band to avoid P.E..lol
  9. I agree, I use sparkpeople too! I use it mostly to log food and cardio as well as to find low-fat recipes to cook! It also helped me to realize that I wasn't eating enough for the amount of cardio i was doing each week, I'm training for a 10K, so I had to actually increase the calories, HELLO EXTRA COOKIE!
  10. I've done mine and it's supposed to ship on Monday! I can't wait to see how it comes out. I just got 40 pages with the 7" x 7" Square with the Premium pages and imagewrap hardcover, and it costs $34.95 with shipping. I'll probably do another one for the wedding photos.
  11. Even though I have already confirmed a photog, I am seriously reconsidering now with all of the wonderful BDW Photogs! Congrats Elizabeth and Jason!
  12. My Confession... My mom says she may or not come to my vow renewal and I could care less, because she claims that she may not have the money, and went out to look for a new car since her MERCEDES wasn't acting right even though she has 2 OTHER vehicles, and it's just her and her husband. She irritates me anyways and she's a very negative and selfish person. I mean, I'm her ONLY daughter, why wouldn't you make ever effort to attend, especially, since I didn't have a wedding when we got married. Then..I feel a rant coming on.. I had always been overweight and I had a baby in December where I gained 60lbs in the pregnancy, then I lost all the pregnancy plus an extra 30lbs, and all she can says.. "I always wondered when you were going to lose the weight, I just didn't think you'd wait until you were grown".. I hate one of my brother's wife, and I never call her by her name and always refer to her as SheB*tch..lol. and I've done it so much, I forgot her real name, and sometimes just refer to her as "that girl" I always complain about how my husband doesn't do anything to help me plan this wedding where in reality I don't want him to help, because he will come with opinions..lol That's it for now!
