  1. I am really liking the paper lantern idea! Thanks for sharing.
  2. Yay! Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by nmurch she does... the website definatly doesnt due them justice cause WOW.. i love my flowers!!!!!!! and wow! she's great! http://www.lastinglove.ca
  3. Diva, Make sure your hair is dripping wet when you apply it. Don't use as towel because it'll cause frizz. I bought the small bottle too, but it worked so well that I went back and got another bottle of knot today, the large jar of custard and the spritz, lol! I know it's not cheap, but it is good. Let me know what you think of it! Quote: Originally Posted by Diva Ok ladies so I purchased the Kinky Curly stuff today and it is not cheap!! The big jar is like $30 from whole foods! 4. Nice! I absolutely love the bags and the colors look great together!
  5. For anyone who's looking for these, after doing comparison shopping, I ordered from here. I got my badges about 10 days after ordering. I tested one out and nothing got wet! YAY! I just did a quick search and ebay has a ton of them as well.
  6. My friends got married here in 2007. I stayed for one week. If I can answer any questions, from my experience, let me know.
  7. Also, My resort offers the option to arrive 48hrs in advance if you get the most expensive package, lol! So, what's the "real" waiting period? I think you'll be fine if you go with what the WC at the resort says. Quote: Originally Posted by StephyD Hi everyone! I am getting married at the Grand Palladium and the WC sent me a document that says we need to be there 3 days in advance. We are planning to arrive on a Sunday and get married on a Thursday. But my Travel Agent is telling me we need to be there 4 days prior to our wedding day. HELP!
  8. I'd go by what the WC at the resort says. They usually have more current/update info. When I was going to get married in Punta Cana, the TA was telling me I had to be there 3 days before, but they had eliminated their waiting period. Quote: Originally Posted by StephyD Hi everyone! 9. Beautiful! I'd never make it down the aisle in those! I'd break my neck! LOL!
  10. Thanks-We are on Pelicano's beach. I am doing OOT bags. I got flip flop bags from Oriental Trading. We are putting flip flop playing cards, water guns, door knob hangers, palm tree ink pens, a spanish/english guide, flip flop bookmark, flip flop notepad, postcards, hangover kits (tylenol, alka seltzer, pepppermint, gatorade/powerade/propel mix), another kit (I haven't named it yet. )It's gonna have q-tips, a razor, bandaids, alcohol wipes and safety pins, tip/room card holder, hand sanitizer, antibacterial hand wipes, a thank you magnet, welcome letter and snacks. I think I'm thinking about doing a welcome to Mexico book. Hope this helps! Quote: Originally Posted by jesmcan MSglave - I'm sorry were you at the Pelicanos beach? If so I think your fine there. Lady Di - The beach is public so you won't have any issues doing your TTD session there but if you want to do it in a Cenote or the Ruins or anywhere historical they usually will not allow it. However I do know of some people who called and asked if they could get permission and they were allowed to. They did have to pay for one of the tour guides to let them in and he stayed with them during the session in one of the cenotes. Everyone - for past and future brides what are you guys doing for OOT bags? Do you think tumblers are worth getting for this resort, what about beach towels? I'm starting to think about them now and hoping in the next two months to start buying the items but I wanted everyone's advice. I know at some resorts the cups are worth it but I heard at others its not.
  11. I think you are entitled to feel this way, but need to find a way to let your FI know how you feel.
  12. Thank you! We are having our reception at 4:30. We already have 23 booked. I'm thinking we are going to end up with about 30 or 35. I have seen pics of some of the beaches and the ones that you can see the cabanas in are not my style. Do you think the beach we have is good for this? I mean will people be surrounding our reception? Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by jesmcan Hi Msglave I have seen all the beaches and I know this is not helpful but it really is tough depending on your situation. How many people are you having? If you are having 40 or more guests I highly recommend the beach by Pelicanos. It is right by the pier but it is the biggest beach. Also you have your wedding later like 6pm reception there is no one walking around down there so you will be fine. My favorite is the middle beach. However it is a lot smaller and also its right next to the entrance of the royal where are the pools are. There is also all these cabanas riht behind it. I like the area right in front of the gazebo a lot to but you always run the risk of this beach getting ashed away and not being there. Especially in the winter months. So really it depends on how many people you are having.
  13. Thank you! I sure hope you can find the pics!!! has anyone else seen these beaches and have any ideas? If i can find it I'll post it.

I would not want to have my reception by Pelicano's - i mean i guess its larger but its right on top of the road and near the pier which is where everywhere goes. And its right next to the Grand Porto so you have that traffic as well. The only plus is that you have more room i guess. Thank you. I am going to ask my WC to move it again. she said the gazebo beach is taken. Any suggestions?
  15. Autumn, your bags are absolutely awesome! Do you have a template your welcome book that you can share?
  16. These are some of the best passport invites I've seen. I absolutely love them. I had been planning on making ours, but I'm not sure now, lol!
  17. Do a search for Welcome Books. A few brides have done this either in the book or brochure and have shared their templates on here.
  18. Everything looks great. I really like how you did the "vow cards."

  20. Oh ladies, I forgot to update you on our wedding time. My WC said it's okay if we keep our regular time, but we have to leave the gazebo right afterwards. So we will not be able to have our cake and champagne there, it will have to be in the central garden. We are supposed to have our reception on Pelicano's beach, but after reading Jen's post, I think it may be crowded looking (too close to the furniture and other people). I wanted to move it to the gazebo beach, but it's already booked. My WC said most people want Pelicano's beach but I'm not so sure. Does anyone know how far the gazebo, the central garden and Pelicano's beach are from each other?
