  1. LOL! Too funny! I have so many ideas now that I'm gonna have to scrap some of them because they are different ways of the same things. This site is awesome!
  2. Hi Ladies, I am ADDICTED to BDW. I find that I'm reading it morning, noon and night. It is the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I look see at night. I am constantly finding new "stuff." I refuse to believe that I'm alone. Anyone else addicted?
  3. Got the table number holder-They are beautiful. Thanks again!
  4. Check out this thread courtesy of the fab DW ladies! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...es-here-56993/
  5. We sent out an e-Save the date from our wedding website. This announced our date and the website. We've already had 21 book with no invitations. I've decided not to do invitations for the wedding. Instead, I'm going to do a formal announcement & invitation to our AHR.
  6. Thanks for sharing-I need to get on it. I think I wanna borrow your bouquet toss song. Too funny!
  7. We are doing one bag per couple and one bag per single. Some things the couples only need one of (like door knob hangers), However, we will be putting two of some things in there (like hangover kits). 8. Sorry to hear about your computer-and Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by autjo Ugh... so my computer crashed over the weekend and I am still trying to get everything restored. I know the template is on there somewhere, I just have to find it. Sorry for the delay

When you first walk off of the resort and go on 5th avenue you will see a ton of vendors. They all yell at you to come into their store. We were stupid and went in. I went to a couple of different guys and ended up buying mine for $3 each. They were gorgeous though. Well, the next time I went shopping I went down the street a lot further and found them for $1 each. So the key is to do a little walking and go a bit further. Seemed like the further down 5th we went the better the deals. We found them at the General Store for $1. No negotiating but you wouldn't have to because they do have the best prices. I actually didn't see a walmart, but I did see the MAC store. I still wouldn't recommend going in it. It was in a store with a bunch of high end items like Chanel, etc. Seemed expensive. I just bought all of my MAC makeup from home. Ok, not what you asked. So no on Walmart, but that general store and plent of other stores sold vases. Most were extremely colorful though and very pretty. I don't think that is what you are looking for though. I would pack something like your centerpieces. I actually shipped all of mine to Zulma and it only cost me $40. I was happy I waited on the maracas. I also bought a box of cigars which were really pricey, but they don't really come down that much on cigars. I wish I would have waited on the centerpieces. Although I was really happy with what I chose, I think it would have brought more color to the tables if I bought something in Mexico. They have sooooooooooo much! I also would have waited to buy the girls necklaces. They have such great jewelry there. I probably would have also waited for buying their special gifts and all the oot bags. I ended up buying these amazing bags for $8 each. They said Playa Del Carmen on them and they were canvas and really cute. If you haven't bought bridesmaids bags yet, those are perfect. They don't really have wedding related items there though like cake toppers, etc. So get that! Hope that helps, if not then ask away! Thanks. That helps a TON! Were the maracas 1.00 each(for one) or 1.00 for 2(one pair)? Thanks for the tip of walking further down. As far as the centerpieces, are you saying you're glad you mailed them or do you wish you had bought them in Mexico? I'm not buying any special makeup. I'm going to bring my Mac from home as well. At least I know how great it looks with my complexion. Thanks for sharing the tips for the BMs gifts.
  11. Not a problem. Ask away with anything we can help you with!
  12. Great, I will PM you! I know the girls on The Royal thread all talk about that cake being delicious and I really want it but my FI keeps saying he doesn't like it :-(
  13. Okay-here it is. I think this will link you to the last page, http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo.../index120.html

I will now keep it as long as I get to choose my playlist songs. also I have gone through the entire thread for PDC but as it is now 2010 some things have changed so it's actually not always the best place to look for current info. I am now having an issue where as the wedding coordinator is saying since I want a french manicure and pedicure I have to buy this and I cannot give the one that comes with my package to my mother or a fam member. This really upsets me. I am paying for both sets of mani and pedis so why would I not be allowed to give it to whom I choose? You would think with as much money as they make off us (I have a lot of guests coming) they wouldn't see this as a biggie? especially since I am paying for it. it's technically mine to use. has anyone else on this thread had this issue? I am trying to locate a number to call someone directly at the resort in the wedding dpt who can help me! Hi Keaddy, Did you read the correct thread? I'll see if I can attach it. The thread is very much up to date as it has recent posts (all the way up to today) including wedding reviews from the past week. There are brides who book under the pre December, 2009 changes and those (such as myself) who book after. In fact, that may be the best place to ask your question (in case someone else may have been through it or are visiting and can ask). I really don't see how the spa will know who you are. Also, the girls (on the thread) have said that Zulma (the onsite coordinator) is amazing. She is far more knowledgeable than the Michigan girls. I would book it and still book at Veronica's. Doesn't make sense to double pay.

I wish I wouldn't have bought so much to bring down...but you live and learn. Thanks for the offer-I have a couple of questions. 1.) How much did you see the maracas for? 2.) Did you go to Walmart or some other large store? I want to carry as least down as possible and I'm thinking that I may buy the stuff for centerpieces and buy glass vases/votives there. 3.) Lastly, what kind of things did you see reasonably priced that you wish you would've waited for? Thanks for sticking around to answer our questions!!!!!!
