LF: Wrist Coils and ID Zip Badges

I guess it just depends on what you think is the best fit for you and your guests. -
I agree with knitgirl. Let your FI handle it.

sand ceremony frame!!! i found it!!
msglave replied to NyBeachBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Did anyone remove the back (frosted piece) and replace it with the glass from panel 3? That's what I'm thinking about doing to make a bigger slot for pouring and also so that you can see the sand from both sides. -

Good luck! -

No, I was thinking about registering it with the deeds/records only because if I happen to lose it down the road they can always reprint it for me at a fee, like a birth certificate. Thanks! I'll let you know about the flowers.

Have a great trip. I hope all of your dreams come true and everything is as you hope! -
Hi All, I've taken enough from this forum so now it's time for me to start giving back. I am attaching the template for our key card holders. I hope it's helpful to someone. This is how I made them: 1.) I borrowed (downloaded) a template that someone had posted on here (Sorry but I don't remember who). I think raslin 2.)I changed the word (from Jamaica) to one of our engagement photos. 3.) I tweaked the colors to fit us. 4.) I printed them out on a colored laser printer on white cardstock from Walmart. It was about $6.00 for a ream. 5.) I glued the cardstock to construction paper to help become even more sturdy. 6.) I cut the lines with a paper cutter. 7.) Then I inserted each cutout into a waterproof plastic pouch that I bought off ebay from gcishoponline. The cost was $5.99 for 50 plus $5.00 for shipping. Total was $10.99. 8.) We purchased lanyards from the same ebay seller. The cost was $12.99 for 50 with free shipping. We also purchased wristband/coil key chains and beltclip key chains because we wanted our guests to have a choice. The costs for them was supercheap--$2.99 for 12 coils and $2.99 for 50 beltclips on Oriental Trading. I also ordered 200 lanyard snaps fro $2.99 from Oriental Trading so it would be easier to put the pouches on the wrist coils. This is enough material to make 50 keycard holders for less than $1.00 each. I have attached the template. I'm sorry I couldn't attach a pic but someone stole my digital camera and I have yet to buy another one. Let me know if you have any questions. EDIT-The pics are at post #16. our keycard holder.ppt

I've been looking for iridiscent organza ones in blue/green (acutally I have a 'looking for' thread in the buy/sell forum), but if I can't find these I may go with crystal organza sashes in royal blue I guess. Was also debating doing alternating royal blue and aqua, but am worried this might not look good... We do not have a final guest count as of yet but I think we are probably expecting around 50 people. We'll have to keep in touch on this! I know, it is creeping up so fast!!! I have had so long to plan that I thought I would avoid these feelings of panic, but nope! I'm also in school right now so I feel like months are flying by in the blink of an eye - never enough time! If you would like any info on my photog, let me know (see my siggy). I know! I'm starting to feel a little panicky too! I don't know why, but I am, LOL! I'll let you know about the photographer. -

Did you register your certificate with the county clerk or deeds/records?

Does it matter who these three people are? Relatives vs. a hair stylist? I couldn't tell that the girls flowers were real touch. I am in Chicago too and may need that info. I love the florist that Di used, but I am so tired of adding a vendor's fee to everything. There are so many things i want to add but I keep seeing dollar signs in my head.

As long as you don't get in the water before the big day, that can do it. Thanks thisisit. We are going on a Wednesday and getting married on Saturday. I don't think I'm gonna be able to stay out of the water that long, lol. Plus, I don't want everyone to see what my hair is going to look like before the wedding.

My hair has grown out quite a bit since that pic so I don't want to add extensions. I just want them to create the look with my natural, unrelaxed hair. If you think they can do that, please send me there info. Thanks!!!!!

I am sure since they are makeup artists they could follow your instructions and make sure you have the exact look that you want Love it!!!! This is a great suggestion to have the makeup artists recreate the look. Thanks!!!!!

msglave replied to kriztie707's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Hi December Brides, Our time is coming quick, quick, quick! I hope everyone's planning is going great. We still haven't booked a photographer. YIKES! -
Welcome back Duprk452!!!!! Welcome to the thread Paperbag princess & N&J!!!!! The brides here are so friendly and so knowledgeable! That's cool, Lady Di!!!! I've heard that the Secrets resorts are really nice. When I went to the DR in, we stayed at The Excellence (which used to be Secrets) and the setup was beautiful!

MsGlave - will you have any friends who can help out in the hair or makeup area? As far as hair, I think I might be better off just telling the staff at the hotel exactly what to do rather than sittign and crossing my fingers. If it comes down to it, I will do my own makeup. I just REALLY don't want to. As far as the hair, if my hair was relaxed, I wouldn't worry to much about it. But since it's natural, I need a style that would hold up in the heat like a straw set. I'm not sure they know how to do it.

We're going with mermaid (David's Bridal)-It's quite close to Tiffany blue and white. -
Leave as guest or make a bridesmaid?
msglave replied to Josie1073's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
No. If you don't have that relationship with her, I wouldn't. Others may book later (You still have almost 6 months) and I'm sure you're not going to ask all of them to be in your wedding. If you want her to feel a part of, you can invite her to your suite to hang with you and the other ladies before the wedding. This is just my opinion.
