Yeah, I have the same problem. Although even FI seems to have lost enthusiasm for the leafs of late. But the garter is a great idea- and with TO colours it can be your "something blue"
Well I had no idea what luminaries were when I looked at this thread- but what a great idea. I think they will look amazing in the sand on the beach or around a pool! And it seems like a DIY project that I can actually manage. And it is super light to take on a plane. Perfect!
Thanks for the idea.
I like the idea of having a private moment where you see each other. I think it would make me more comfortable and less stressed after the wedding trying to fit in all our pics. But obviously it is seriously bucking tradition. But that's what a DW is all about!
I agree. You should wear what makes you feel beautiful. I don't think you are too old to wear a strapless! However, although I haven't done much dress shopping myself I have learned from this site that you should try on every style of gown before you make a decision. Lots of people end up with dresses totally different than what they imagine.
I have a ton of decor items already. (Michaels was having a 90% off sale on fall flowers) but I am worried about how to get it down there. Perhaps I will forgo the OOT bags in the interest of not paying too may overweight charges!
I'd be interested in any success stories people have- especially those on Canadian Charter airlines (i.e. Air transat- not always known for being flexible..)
My biggest pet peeve is when FI takes off his socks and just leaves them all over our place. Then he'll get cold or something, put on a clean pair until he decides to take it off again. Repeat! Not only am I forever picking up socks- but I have 3 times more socks in my laundry every week. Urgh.
I love this idea. My FI is a big computer geek and will be sure to scratch up just about every other metal. How perfect. Thanks for the recommendation and I am glad the shipping to Canada was seamless!
Yeah I asked one of mine BM's in person, one over the phone and the other (who is in Korea) by email. Pretty lame. But I hadn't joined the forum at this time so I didn't have a ton of great ideas at my disposal and I am clearly creatively challenged. Luckily they didn't have high expectations!
I feel your pain. My FI is very picky and seems to take a while to used to new clothes for some reason. Very strange.
So I think I am just going to go with what I love and hope that my happiness will make him happy too.
Me too. I hadn't really thought of it, but my mom actually suggested it. So what can I say? But also, it seems only fair to have both my parents or neither (the whole idea of being "given away" irks me), seeing as they both raised me.
Great choice. Why should the people who stand up with you have to be the same gender? What matters is who you want to surround yourself with on your big day. My brother is going to be a master/man of honour and I can't think of a better choice.
