ok, my body has been ravaged, and not in a good way, and I'm thinking as I get older my muscles are not healing as fast as they used to... also you know what eternally pisses me off...the for the most part, men are always trying to gain weight and or mass, and women are usually trying to loose it...My FI can think about cardio and he's 5-10 pounds down, and he is the naturally athletic type and things come to him very easily - and he LOVES running, just runs like Forest Gump like it's no big deal...Run Forest Run!! I want to eat the box of chocolates we got for Christmas (and I never opened for that reason) right now, it's 11:55pm...can you tell what time of the month it is? Wow I feel so much better, thanks! Back at the gym tomorrow, triceps, biceps, abs, back, legs and cardio...then a little hot tub time and some swimming with Tezzaroo, if I'm not too cranky! lol

Man, I swear I've been on this forum all day off and on and I still managed to miss a bunch of posts!! How'd that happen. ebredhawk: I'm with you on the bad combo! especially having to wake up to a 19 month old in the morn! ugh, it's making me sick just thinking about it...Good thing is I'm a really really cheap drunk now, but that usually ends in a really early night! lol But I do love a good penis...straw!! lol In my younger years I attended many a bachelorette and many a penis' were passed around!! lol Them's were the good ole' days! I'm not really a bar person either, now I like a good pub, with cold beer and some good food! lol Mmmmmmm I could use some pub food right now, I so would break my diet at this time of night 11:43 pm...I hate cravings! to the gym tomorrow! Meghan: if your gals dress you up in a pink Tutu and a sash we need to see the pics posted!!!! that will be soooooo fun and you're sooo lucky to have close friends near you!! I sooooo hope everyone sticks around for us late April gals!! because even though I disappear MIA once in a while, I really do enjoy chatting to everyone - I just have to balance my addictions!! lol Chat to you ladies soon!! 3 months today and I'll be in Mexico with tequila in hand and a Prilosec in my belly!! haha

I noticed my pics are up in her boudoir portfolio for anyone who wanted to see. They are at the end...(in the teal robe etc...) Boudoir Portfolio – Sarah Pukin I'm the one who is not super skinny! LOL It sounded like a lot, but I am feeling so good about them it was worth it!! You should feel good about them, they were awesome, I just finished looking at them again!! lol I did send a price request but I think I'll actually call her in the morning and see if she would consider doing a semi-mini-marathon for a small group and maybe discount a bit...I don't know, worth a try and it might be worth her while if say 4 or 5 more BDW Calgarians wanted to book with her. It is worth it to have the disc, but I really don't want to pay $550 for just the album from Tait, if Jennybell says the small $250 is not worth it! I really want to do this for FI but I REALLY want to get my Nikon D3000 for myself!! Oh priorities!!

Sarah spent almost 3 hours shooting me and it was great. here is my review and some pics I posted http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...h-pukin-53550/ if this link doesnt work search Sarah Pukin in the bride referal section. This is part of the info I sent to Jenn: I thought she was great. She is very young (23?) but made me comfortable right away. ( I went to her studio which is in her Moms house...sounds a bit wierd but the shots turned out great!) I was pretty nervous becuase I am not skinny..( a size 12) and all her shots were of pretty thin girls. I thought she did amazing! If you want to see some more I know she is posting them on her blog once I leave for Jamaica, or you could just ask her to see them. She knows I am willing to share...(she hasnt done it yet cause I want my FI to be the first to see them) I bought the $400 package and paid for hair and makeup ($50 I think) I recommend the make-up for sure. It was great! That gave me 20 shots. She took a million (over 300 if I remember right) and I was shocked how many great shots she had! I had trouble narrowing it down to 20. I would say from start to finish with make up it took about 3 hours. I brought about 20 outfits and let her choose which ones she thought would work best. When I was done we went through all the shots and she helped me pick out 20. I did not buy the book from her, out of my budget, but they looked great. I chose her because I could have the cd of images to do what I wanted with. When I got it back she had changed each image with different colours, black & white, sepia etc...so I really had a cd with about 160 images to choose from! I would reccommend her in a heartbeat! Tell her I referred you and ask for the same girl who did my hair and make up...cause she was great! If I can answer any other questions feel free to ask! Tanya I say do it! I felt like a million bucks and I can't wait to see FI face! Ok - first of all Tanya, I believe you are the pics I must have seen and if she can make me look your size I'll book her right now!! Because I'm a size uhm...10-12 and to me, you looked like a size 4-6!!!!! like your pics were awesome and I think it was me that mentioned it earlier!!! Her prices are not on the website, do you know if there was a cheaper pkg other than the $400??

I am hoping to put a review together over the next week or so. Ease your worries if you have booked here: it is a fantastic resort! That's soooo awesome to actually hear!!! I'm so excited, I really can't wait till April!! Were the new areas open when you were there?? Did you deal with Patricia, she's been awesome to me, and what package did you pick? Did you do a private reception? or just the reception dinner in an a la carte?? if so which one...oh lord, I can't wait to read your review!! lol

Ok, so I got an email back from Tait and they didn't mention anything about $50 off when booking together?? Could have been a promotion just for the wedding show maybe?? Anyway, as I thought the $150 includes NOTHING!! Does anyone else have any ideas of how to make it cheaper??

OK I didn't get an email back yet...but I did say there were a few of us Calgarians interested and wondering what kind of deal we could score - I have NO Shame!! and what we get for the $150 if we choose not to get an album...I couldn't find it posted anywhere on their website for a $50 discount when booking together?? Also, keep in mind the Lipstick N Lace option... $350 includes a CD with touch ups...no album and we'd have to go in on a little site fee....I posted her website in an earlier post...but Tait would be easier...

Also, I can't look up anything on the Tait boudoir site because my work filter blocks my access... so thank you to anyone who is able to look up the details for us!!! PLUS - if we had enough girls together to book our own marathon session (I have no idea how many that is!) then it would be a great excuse for us to have our Calgary get-together that has been mentioned so many times HAhahaha, I just pm'd you twice!! lol Gotta get to the gym, so if you find out any info let me know....but it seems to me in my research you don't get a disc from tait for the $150...not sure hopefully someone can figure that out, because the less expensive the better, plus I can do my own album!
-
Ok so Tait has upcoming dates on Jan 29th, Feb 5th and 6th...different times avail, $150 for the sitting fee, $80 for hair and makeup (good deal), and if you want to pre-order a book they start at $250 (normally $300)... SO if you don't pre order the book, what do you get?? Do you get a CD with some images on it?? does anyone know??

I told her that I draw the line at penis straws, though. On the plus side I rarely go out so I plan to make a real disgrace of myself- FI will come and pick us all up when we're done and make sure we get home okay. He's just going to watch some strippers with his buddies in Halifax, I think (at Ralphs- you know where I mean Suzy lol). He tells me strippers are traditional lol (not that I really mind). HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! you made me laugh totally out loud! Strippers at Ralph's!! You will not have anything to worry about at all!! lol From what I hear, they are...well how can I put this correct...nothing you would shake a stick at?? lol or shake anything else at for that matter!! haha That is sooooo funny!! I don't really care about strippers either! If a guy feels the need to look at naked TaTa's he's going to do it whether it's in person or online! lol Oh that was good, my abs hurt from laughing at that one! ) Thanks!

Sometimes it sucks loving your sister so much hahahaha!!! Anyways, we'd been thinking of getting some girlfriends together to try and book a marathon session, but never followed through on getting the details or anything so at least the two of us would definitely be interested! Also, for putting a book together, I have been hunting around all the applications on my new Mac and it looks like through the photo application on there you can put together a book (soft cover and/or hard cover) all by yourself using photos that are on your computer - or of course a disk of proofs from a photographer!?!? I think I'm going to use this application once we get our wedding photos since they'll be edited already and on a cd. weird, I was totally going to ask you if you wanted to go in on a group session, but then thought we had already talked about it?? lol

Hey all!! I've been doing a lot of research on Boudoir here in Calgary, and there is a gal that one of the Calgary BDW'ers used and the pics are posted somewhere and they looked really good: Sarah Pukin, she'll do it in your home, and I think she may be able to set up a studio session as well - although she prefers in your own home... Calgary Boudoir Photographer Sarah Pukin I think her pkgs started at around $300 and included photos on a cd...but now her prices are not posted on her website so I'm not too sure - the other BDW'er got the $400 pkg and hair and makeup were a good deal too, I think she said like $50?? I've also been talking to an Edmonton Photog who said she'd be able to come to Calgary if 3 or 4 of us wanted to do a shoot, the only prob is we'd have to either pay to use a hotel room or she has a designer friend that said we could use her home for a fee...hair and makeup is extra, $100 - $150 her website: she would charge $350, includes a cd and her traveling... Plus I think only 1 guy was single...they didn't even go to a strip club!! I couldn't believe it...but, they did go to a swanky club and were VIP for the night cause they paid for bottle service - so they suited all up in their best dressed, and if you seen the chickletts at this club they might as well have been at the strippers!! lol My bachelorette will not be very exciting... if anything at all! The girls now want to plan a trip to Vegas, but that won't be until after the wedding. We may go out here in Calgary but most every one lives away so it'll be hard...We'll prob just do something when we're in Mexico and everyone is together...plus I haven't been out at a bar or dancing for 2 years so I seriously won't know what to do with myself...plus my alcohol tolerance is now zero after having a kid, so things could get really messy!! lol I know I'm boring... ) I used to be cool!! lol What's everyone else doing?? Just so I can live vicariously through you all! lol

Thanks Gals!! I'm glad I'm finally getting something done!! lol Even tried on my dress today and I still absolutely love it!! I still have a lot of working out to do, but I'll get there! It's not so much how I look in my dress, as much as it is how I look in a bikini...that's still a little (or a lot) scary! As for the BM's dresses...they wouldn't be exactly what I would have picked if we weren't paying for some of them!! lol But that kinda goes for everything!! lol, really!! I do really like them, and the color is what I wanted and they're really cheap!...plus everything is coming soooo fast that I don't really care as much at this point!! lol I just want to tick things off the list! The bout's are tres-easy, and actually pretty therapeutic - sort of like Meghan's miniature aloe filling exciting nights!! ;o) Tracy I'm always having problems with BDW!! lol It's always slow or stalling...could be our internet though! FI made it back from Vegas fairly unscathed!! They had a blast, not "the Hangover" blast, but there were some pics on the missing camera that were pretty funny! It all makes me really want to go to Vegas - I've never been!! So we think we want to do a big trip next year for some major shopping! Coach outlet here I come!! I know this isn't the workout thread...but my arms, and my whole body for that matter, are so sore I really can't type anymore!! lol Wishing everyone a great upcoming week and chat to you all soon!

Hahahaha, you're not crazy at all!! we had decided to do the legal there...but then we decided to do the legal here...lol It could still change again!!! I think we'll most likely do everything here, just so we can relax there and not have to worry about excess paper work, blood tests etc... AND YES!!!!!!!!!! ALOE BOTTLES for MY OOT BAGS!!!!!!!!! that's another thing off my list...and it's all thanks to Meghan!!!! hehe I get so much done when she's around, I love it!!! lol So, uh, Meghan, what are you doing tonight? lol I just finished watching the LAST Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien...it was even kinda sad! Plus I'm soooo trying to resist the urge to open the bag of tostitos in the cupboard...at least they're whole grain, ugh I hate once a month cravings!

Hello fellow Calgarian! We're getting married at the Grand Riviera Princess in April and they have a pretty nice gazebo with a nice long aisle/walkway sort of like a deck I guess, and it's pretty much on the beach in a semi private area so you still have the water and sand visible, so you could still wear heels...also Dreams Tulum has a chapel...Most of the resorts have gazebos - or an area off the beach where you can do the ceremony, and I know most of the brides are wearing heels so I think whatever your choice: you'll be fine! Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Hello again Lovely Ladies!!! We are doing the legal deed here, and not quite sure if we want before or after...but like some of you we are not telling anyone, as far as all the guests are concerned we will be legally married in Mexico ) I really have not been focusing on Wedding related stuffs at all...I've sort of took a huge hiatus from planning (what I thought was going to happen with the booking of a destination wedding, lol) but I'm starting to get back on track, so hopefully once I get into the thick of things I won't get overwhelmed!! I do feel very productive this week, I made some boutonniere's, picked and ordered my BM's dresses (FINALLY) ordered my Mom's dress (I do not trust her to pick it out, awful but true!!)...and I think that's it, but it's better than nothing!! I hope all is going well with everyone, I included a link to the bout thread I started for your opinions, and if you want step by step pics I think they are in post #26.... and here's a pic of my BM's dress as well! Tracy: Thanks for the checklist, I haven't looked at it yet, but I saved it and I'm sure it will come in handy!! lol Chat to you all soon and hope you all have a Fab weekend! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...niere-o-54264/
