  1. I do love it too, and think it's totally flattering...but you have to believe in it and you have to get some sort of feeling about it! I'm a pretty fuss free gal and so it didn't take me long to find my dress, but I'll will quote myself what I posted on another thread to another bride having second guessed her pick of dress: "Dresses are like Men - there are so many different types, styles and colors you could try them all but you just have to believe in your choice and stick with it! lol" Good luck with the decision! )

Us too, and I'm really irked, I don't even think we got upgraded to first class...when did you book, and if you don't mind me asking, how many are booking with you through air canada? I'm going to work on the resort to see if maybe I can get a room upgrade...others are getting great deals...but I'm sure some of the package pricing was more expensive too, so it really comes close to equal. I, like you, had NO idea...and I'm ashamed! lol because I always usually find the best deals...way too late now! At least we have the confidence knowing our tour company "shouldn't" go out of business... ) Congrats, btw, and I think you're a fellow Albertan!! which I'll see for sure once I post this!! lol
  3. They are wonderful!! I have to check esty out!!

Maybe some of you can confirm something for me... I thought I had read that unlike titanium, the tungsten rings are more "medically safe" because in case of an accident they can be cut off. Then when I was at a jewellers, the woman working said that they could NOT be cut off, but later as part of a different topic admitted that she was quite new... so I really wasn't sure if she'd just made a mistake and mixed it up with the titanium afterall. Comments?!?! Erin - I am totally going to check out the site for the flowers! I do have a bouquet for myself included in my wedding package but like you said, it can be used for anything I want, and I'd rather my girls and I all have great looking flowers as a group!! Hey!! I'm checking out the site as well, so maybe we could group order!! lol I'm like both of you, I have a bouquet included, but have a ton of boutonniere's and BM's bouquets to do...again my only problem is getting everything there unless I mail everything or send it to other people to bring it with them...I have to figure out what's the most cost effective...it might be just ordering from the resort ( We really like the tungsten too, but I'm still a little nervous about the whole "vice grip/damaged fingers not able to be cut off" deal. And like I know someone had already mentioned, possibly you Meghan, my FI too is very laid back, lackadaisical really, and doesn't see the rush to pick out his ring, wants it very plain has even gone as far as saying "Do I really need a ring to prove my love to you..." just to see the look on y face of course - he loves to "razz" me!

(personally.. i'm in love!) the stems are going to be wrapped in strips of the fabric taken off my dress when it's shortened. So forgot to mention that I love your flowers, I think they are absolutely beautiful, and I'm going to check out the website that you posted down the line (I think it was you) Also I think it's a great idea to use your mom's garter as your something old...I have to figure out that as well...
  6. jerseykitten - I can't multiquote at all - never works.... Maybe that's another thing we have to reach 150 posts to do....although you have tons of posts!
  7. Oh I ordered my postcards from Vistaprint.ca today and bought individual Kleenex packs for my OOT bags! YAY Obviously still trying to reach that 150 mark.....

Thank goodness for this board! I'm with you!! I can't sleep at night, lol I toss and turn and my mind races!! I actually have a ton of "random wedding thoughts" saved on my laptop because I know I'll forget half the things I thought about doing or what I've seen/stolen from the forum!! lol I do love this forum! and I love chatting to ladies from all over the place!

I am thinking of getting Brian a Tungesten band because he is not flashy and doesn't want diamonds or anything in his band..so I am gonna try to get him to look a them tonight so I can get to ordering..since my set came with a band already..although he hid it from me so I can't play with it..lol! I am thinking of using an Etsy vendor for my bc veil...not sure another girl ordered hers from another site and it was pretty too... I am getting these earrings... and this bracelet LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!! I don't know if I already commented on them, I could have but it's been a really weird and loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggg day...and I'm on a really good sugar high right now due to the ultra chocolate brownies I made...and ate - but I did work out today! Anyway, love the jewelry I think you should definitely do both!

  11. Man I want something free....anything, a bottle of tequila? We have a group contract flying out of Nova Scotia that has 20+ ppl booked so far and still counting for one full week - they are getting a bottle of tequila and a fruit basket in the room, free food on the plane a free glass of wine, free pillows all kinds ff plane perks. We have 20+ flying through Air Canada from the rest of Canada...then we have 10+ from all over the world...so maybe I should look into the Resort to give us some perks for bringing 50+ people? Everyone in Canada has used the same TA...so that's 40 people but not flying with the same tour company...I wonder if there is anything she can do? I'll be giving her a little jingle in the morning!! Even if we can get one of us free then that means I can probably have my private Beach reception I want! Which may make me feel a little better about the resort I picked....but that's another story!

Wholly crap I have to call my TA in the morning!!

And this is through what the resort offers. Out TA has been very helpful in telling guests this so they book extra nights and get their perks as well as help us with ours. Wholly crap!! Who did you book through - and if you explained it in a later post sorry...I'll get to it in a bit! We're traveling from Canada too and we're getting didly squat!!
  14. OMG, I can't help you with any information because I have no idea, but I hope it all works out for you and that you find someone to get everything cleared, you don't need this stress at all! Keep us posted on the details )
  15. Welcome back Natasha, aka Shortnsweet, we missed ya! Hope you had a good trip! Man, I wish I lived in Georgia right now - good call on leaving the snow! It is NOT fun at all!! I think Michigan is even colder than here!! Well maybe not colder but definitely more wet!! lol
  16. Check out this thread, they have a lot of good ideas, Hope this helps too! Thread: Memorial ideas for FI's dad? Sorry I don't know how to post the direct link here ;o)
  17. Awe Candice, I'm sooooo sorry to hear about your Father-in-law. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your FI and his family at this terrible time. I have some ideas to Honor those who have gone before us, my father passed away a while ago and I've been trying to incorporate him in the ceremony as well as a few other family members who have passed away. On a thread somewhere in this forum there is talk of a bouquet picture frame - I'm not sure how large it is but you could do something for your FI boutonniere as well - then he can have him close to his heart. I want to do one of my Dad, I was also thinking of making a speech mentioning those who went before us and who couldn't be with us on our day - and maybe incorporating some pictures at the cake table with a place card naming our loved ones as sort of a tribute so we can have them with us. Hope these help a bit, and again so sorry to hear of your loss.

Yep, its definitely the first snow of the season - everyone forgets how to drive for winter!!!!! Suzy, where are you ordering your shoes from? Maybe I wouldn't mind a wedge shoe... maybe This is the site I'm thinking about - thought it was a good deal until I checked out the site you posted!! I think I still need a little bit of a heel - then I don't have to have my dress altered...these are the one's I like: Silver Platform Sandals with Rock Candy Trim - Bridal Flip Flops - Wedding Flip Flops - Bridal Sandals for my BM's: I was thinking: Silver Platform Sandals with 2" Heel - Bridal Flip Flops - Wedding Flip Flops - Bridal Sandals There are a ton of choices and different prices...I only went through everything quickly once so I'll probably have to do another look-see!! Ok so I just did a check on shipping and I will NOT be ordering them from this website!! lol should have checked that before....more than the cost of the flops!!!!!!!!!! But these are the wedge's that I want in silver so I'll have to find an alternate website (
  22. Back on track - the baby is sleeping and I'm going to speed clean the house then jump on the elliptical and do abs...that's probably it for today still feeling pretty weak!! Still have to figure out what's for supper (
  23. OOOOOOPS!! Bloody Double Posts, I hate when that happens!!
  24. Tracy, thanks, it does suck!!! Thank God he's a wonderfully easy baby and is soooo good, we really lucked out, makes me a little scared to have a second!! lol The snow is absolutely disgusting!! Hahaha I'm sooooo not looking forward to winter, the only saving grace - I don't have to leave the house to go to work!! So I am a very lucky lady!! I get to avoid the crazy amount of accidents in this ridiculous city!! lol I think last winter there was a record 21 accidents in a day on one street alone!! That could be a gross exaggeration but... Meghan - you can identify with Deerfoot Trail!! I avoid it at all costs!! lol But I'm a wimp! I'll try to keep the snow away from the East, because I'm heading there soon myself!!!
