welcome to the forum! i am also getting married in punta cana, at the resort right next to yours, Gran Bahia. July 8 2011. you will find soooooo much stuff on here it might become overwhelming. just stick to what you want to do, and it wont be stressful at all. So many ideas can be thrown at you here that you start to 2nd guess your self, lol. but this place is great!

so i was looking for lady and the tramp cake topper. but i was just out the other day shoping in toronto and found this super cute find. which is now my cake topper. i am a HUGE bunny lover! so it only makes sense.

OMG So i went to my TA yesterday to possibly lock in on a quote. Only to find out that sunwing only flys out June 30 and July 7...my wedding is July 8th. So thats means my FI and I would have to leave the 30th, because we need to be there 3 days before hand, and there is NO way my quests can leave on the 7th because then i dont have time for rehersal ect. Â I am in a pickle! I dont want to change my wedding date, dont even know if the WC would allow me at this point. So my TA is now looking thru other carriers. But they dont offer a package "diamond" for my resort. Sunwing only does......argh. Â This is my 1st real stress of this whole planning a wedding thing....... Â I hope my TA can find some carrier that flys out the 3rd of July. That would be perfect. Â thank god for a place to vent. lol

i am probably going to wear one, but good point about the whole "showing under the dress" my is also very light. but i am not tossing it. never really thought about the flower toss. but for sure having out first dance.

I am getting married at the white gazebo in the resort. Not sure if you have seen a beach wedding, but i saw on at the bahia last year, and it made my decision easy to NOT have it on the beach. Ppl sit right where you are, and theres always those ppl you dont want to see in a bathing suit, well they are litterally RIGHT there. Not to private.  We have also picked the Garden Grill for a private reception. I would love to know what your plans are, or what you end up doing after your time is up in the Garden Grill. I have it from 6:30pm to 10:30pm  I am also dealing with Ana, she has been really fast to reply to my emails, which has been a great help! Just curious as to what your cake looks like, and if she says its something they can do.  As for your pastor, did you choose him? We are also getting the real deal done down there. Not a renewal of vowes like some. I would really like an english speaking pastor.  have you got any of your papers translated it?  Sorry, so many questions lol.  and thanks for the tip on the FB group, I will check it out!

hey there! I'm not getting married there until July 8th, but just wondering how all your plans have gone. Where are you getting married at the resort? I have opted for the gazebo.

these are my girls dresses. very light, just a regualr summer dress. bought them at aeropostale for $30

just checked expedia.ca and they have the week before my wedding online now! And the price for that to Gran Bahia in punta cana is $1192! was planning $1500

I am not getting married at any of those places. But last year when i stayed at Gran Bahia Principe (also getting married there) my FI and i walked thru the majestic, and its amazing! Very modern if thats what your looking for. Our friends stayed there during the sametime we stayed at the Bahia, and they loved!!!!! it there.

those are GREAT! I am looking for something glittery to put into my flowers as well.
