Then when people put a deposit down we are going to send passports or message in a bottle as a Thank you. I had to work them in some how! Good luck I am sure whatever you decide will be great! This is an excellent idea! I so wish I thought to do this. We weren't sure what to do but ended up making our own invites (I'm a graphic designer) using supplies from Cardsandpockets.com. The cost ended up being about $3 per invite! But the weird thing is... we already know who's coming and who's not... so we're basically sending invites out as a formality. And only to those that are coming.. I know... makes no sense. But we're also sending to a few key people that can't make it... just so they know they're still thought of and appreciated. I really like your idea of sending the fun 'thank you' after people have booked... awesome!

Ok trying again for a 3rd time. Dang computer. I've been working out for 4 weeks - usually 6 days a week (1 day of strength training and the rest cardio). i'm only down 4 pounds... while I AM happy to be down... I just feel like I should be down more... the weight is just barely coming off and in fact this week i'm the same weight as last. I've been eating about 1500 calories or less... which is a big change from where I was before I started this plan. Any ideas what my problem is? What is working for everyone else?

Ok girls... I'm starting to feel like my efforts are wasted. I've been working out 5-7 days a week for 4 weeks (an hour each day)... I've only lost 3-4 pounds. From last week I am the same! UGH! I've been restricting my calories to under 1500. It seems like a huge change compared to my lifestyle before... I would think I should be dropping weight a little faster. I'm not giving up by any means but it's just getting frustrating. What is working for people?

I've been working out at home and doing stairs in my building every day this week -- but I have not been pushing the hard cardio on the treadmill or eliptical. Do you think it'll still be okay? How often should I start going? 6 days/week seems SOO overwhelming right now!! ahh lol it sounds overwhelming but really it's not for me... i started going after work and it seemed like a lot of time... but now I go in the AM Before work and it takes up less time because I only have to shower once. I love it now... I highly recommend working out in the AM!! You'd be surprised!

Has anyone tried a colon cleanse supplement before? I am always having digestive issues so I thought i'd give it a shot... so far so good... just wondering if anyone's had any luck with this before. Maybe it's all in my head. Or maybe it's my working out and eating good. ha!

I have the P90x dvds and I'm thinking of starting the 90 day challenge (basically it's 7 workouts/week, 1-2 hours/day - it's pretty intense). I'm going to have to get on a better schedule though cause I'm already super busy! I'm also going to try to cut out most junk food, I eat pretty well already but I'm sure I could do a tiny bit better . What are your plans? I'm also upping my work out routine... not only do i have the wedding in june but I just booked a boudoir session for April 17... I've got 12 weeks to drop 10-15 pounds! I'm in the BDW Biggest loser 8 competition... the scale is not showing the results I want but I'm feeling much better... I've been working out at the gym for about 45-60 min 6 days a week. Plus I've been eating pretty good... trying to keep my calories down. I've never been this motivated! I WILL lose weight... so help me!

I wasn't sure what needed to be done up here once we get back. Hey - have you thought about doing a Boudoir session? I'm booking one on April 17 with Elegant Exposures... we can book up to 10 girls and we already have 5... if you want more info let me know!

SAND CEREMONY - how to get it home??
swankster77 replied to SKINNER's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Some of the kits I saw come with corks or 'tops' for travel... I guess you just have to make sure you fill it up to the top so there's no room for movement? -
So I'm down a pound... and I've been eating pretty good for the most part and exercising like a mad woman! I have been trying to lose weight since the beginning of the year and I would think it should come off faster with the drastic changes I've made to my diet and working out pretty much every day. I want to see results!! Grr!

Oops... I meant to write that now that the packers are OUT of the playoffs! haha

If so, what do we need to bring back to the states to have our marriage recognized? I'm still way confused on that.

Thanks sjmacphe for starting this thread! I'm getting married on June 12 at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum in Mexico... I cannot wait! June is definitely not my first choice either because oddly I can't stand to be hot! But being from Wisconsin I'd definitely take it over the snow/cold we've got going on right now. I've got my dress and am working on getting my invites out... they're DIY so I'm about half way done... really need to get them out in the next week or 2. FI and I jsut went shopping to pick out his outfit this past weekend... he's wearing a plain white oxford with a tan dress pant... will probably roll the sleeves.. he's also going to wear a fuschia/orange tie if I can find one. We also went ring shopping for his band... and found one that he likes and it's a steal - so I'm really happy about that! Next on my list is the OOT bags... even the thought of that is overwhelming... but exciting too! June can't come quick enough but will be here before we all know it!! YEAH!

Hello affiwin and anyone else that might be interested! I found an email for Bijan. He wrote back a very lengthy and informative response. He also sent his web address which helps. It is MayanVibes - Wedding DJ in the Mayan Riviera - Home in case you want to check him out. He said for the first 2 hours he charges $250 which is a minimum rate. I told him I needed him for 2.5 hours and he said it would cost $300... NOT BAD! It's actually cheaper than the DJ my resort offers. Also, I'm not sure if he is from Mexico but his english (in the email) was 100%. Again if anyone has used him or heard of him please let me know good or bad! Thanks!

Hello! I'm looking for any information anyone might have on a wedding DJ in the Riviera May area named 'Bijan'... I was hoping to book DJ Bob but he is booked already and suggested I contact Bijan. I did a search and nothing came up. If anyone has heard anything good or bad about him please let me know! Also if anyone has any other DJ recommendations that would be great. Thanks!

Okay don't mind me I'm a little slow is there a way to send the pictures without uploading them to a site like photobucket first?

Thank you Keira! That was very detailed... I really appreciate it! I want to do a sand ceremony to include my daughter but I'm wondering at what point they'll sneak that in. As for providing a ceremony to be translated ahead of time... I wasn't aware we can do that!? I would have no idea where to start so I guess I'll wait and see if I'm feeling ambitious as it gets closer The WC told me to bring a CD of 5 songs for before/during/after ceremony. Did you do this? When was the music played during the ceremony? SusieQ - did Jazmin say she was going to get that info to you? Less than a month away!!! That's exciting but I'm sure it's a little nerve-wracking seeing as how you're waiting on some info. Sorry to hear that

Ok not sure where my post went? Anyway, I'm going to try again I'd be interested but need a little more info on how it works... thanks!

I'm interested but what exactly is involved? Can someone point me in the direction of more info please? Thanks!

Shower for second Marriage
swankster77 replied to jamsmom's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I'm torn on the subject... this is also my second marriage. However, it's my fiance's first. Most of my friends from my first marriage disappeared as quickly as the marriage did. I think if we were not doing a DW a shower would definitely be acceptable (but not expected). With having a DW... the guests that are coming are already spending a good amount of money to be able to be at the wedding. Then if you do decide to have the shower the next question is who to invite... this is where it gets tricky. I guess at this point (for me) I think NOT having a shower is the best idea... first or second marriage. But who knows... I have some time and might be changing my mind. -

He took 191 pictures and we ended up wanting them all...we paid $1200usd for a cd with all of the photos, a slide show cd (with our wedding music added to it) and 20 printed pictures. I wouldn't have changed anything about the photographer or the amount we payed for the pics...we still get compliments non stop on how gorgeous they turned out...I couldnt have been happier! Yay! Do you have any pictures posted somewhere that I could see? I'm still undecided about using the resort photographer because I have yet to see much of their work. Thanks in advance for any help!!!
