Is anyone doing this?
swankster77 replied to Pandabride6's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We also aren't doing the bouquet/garter toss thing... and I like your idea about honoring the married couples... but out of 31 people we only have 4 married couples! If anything I'd rather not do anything that might alienate people (mostly the singles!) But our dance is only 2.5 hours long so I wonder if we even need anything? I hope not because I'm running out of time and brain power! -

Are you all excited? Same here.. my house has wedding stuff in bags and boxes in just about every corner! It's getting out of control - I just can't wait to pack it all up and get on the plane! I'm also worried about how much luggage I'll have to bring... I have no idea how to guess and I don't want to pack up my towels just yet because I don't want them to be completely flattened/squished from being packed up for so long! I'm getting a pedicure the day before we leave and a hair cut on the 22nd (same day as my bachelorette) also having my hair trial that day. I need to get a manicure but not sure if I should wait and do that once in mexico or not. I should probably color my hair too but that's last on my list since everything is getting so expensive! 26 days til I leave!!!

I am anxious to book and get the ball rolling. I have a few questions, I am looking for somewhat current prices for the wedding packages, pool side reception info., private function information, flowers prices etc. I clearly do not have enough posts to open the pdf documents (its very frusterating..I am working on getting enough though!). I was wondering if anyone had any of that information if they could email it to me at [email protected] I pretty much want to assess the costs, ensure I am making the right decision...the other closest resort in the running is the dreams tulum...however, quite expensive! eeek. Thanks for the help!. I just emailed you...

Ugh I'm stuck on my programs/songs STILL! I need help! Can someone clarify my number of songs is correct (Trish, I know you said 6 songs but I'm wondering if you were the only one?) 1. Song for when guests are seated 2. Prelude (parents, groom)? 3. Processional (bride)? 4. Document signing (does this same thing go for the symbolic ceremony?) 5. Sand ceremony 6. Recessional I am also in desperate need of program wording/ceremony order of events... I don't need anything too detailed.. just something so our guests can kind of follow along and know what's going on when. Does anyone have this for the symbolic ceremony? I've emailed Jazmin but she's not responding to my emails anymore! Help!?

Still no word from Jazmin though... I don't have a single email from her since April 2. I have given her a lot of slack since I know she's busy with weddings but I would think she could at least dedicate an hour or 2 each week to respond to emails. Boo.

Hey girls! We all get married next month! Yay! My legal wedding is June 4 and we leave for Mexico on June 8... I'm almost ready to go... BD shoot was a couple weeks ago...it was awesome. My shower and bachelorette party are later this month. Other things I have yet to take care of are also finding a sand ceremony kit. I found a cool sand frame I think I'm going to get but still undecided because it's twice as expensive as most other kits, still need to figure out what to do about a guest book, assemble our programs, figure out who's going to take what for us (we have TONS of stuff to bring down between OOT bags, fans, sashes, etc), seating arrangement for dinner and a few other odds and ends. Oh and one big issue is what I'm going to do with my dog while I'm gone... that's causing some stress right now. Other than that I'm feeling pretty good though and I am just counting down the days! (34 til we leave!)

Thanks I'm totally in the same boat... doing the legal thing here (hush hush) and symbolic in Mexico... problem making a program is that I have no idea what the order of events is for the ceremony... I'd like to get a little more specific with what's going on rather than just mention wedding ceremony at 4pm... -
Program or No Program?

I really want to make a simple program - maybe just a small card to attach to our raffia fans... but I have NO idea what the order of events is for my ceremony so I'm not sure what to put on the program...??
