Ladies! I leave in 4 days and I'm freaking out! I tried my dress on last night to be sure it still fit because I thought I lost some weight... well to my surprise it is tight!! AAAHH! And with 4 days of drinking and eating at the all inclusive I'm scared I won't be able to zip it up by the time the wedding day comes! I'm starting a crash diet of zero carbs for the next 4 days!! On the bright side today is my legal wedding! In 3 hours and 15 minutes I'll legally be a Mrs!! Yippee! How's everyone else doing??

You can have 7 at one, 8 at another and 10 at another if you need to. They all don't have to have the same number of guests at each. Does that help you at all? I can check for you tomorrow to be sure...my emails from her are on my work account. YES! Getting more excited by the minute!! Thanks, I'm glad to know they can fit 10 around a table.. it works out for us to have either 4/5 at 4 tables or 6/7 at 3 tables. I'm going to bring seating arrangements for both just in case. I thought SusieQ had her dinner at Gran Tortuga and her pics showed 6 chairs around a table so I got confused.. I'm sure all will work out one way or another! You're wedding is 4 months away but trust me this time is going to fly by for you!!

For the brides who have had their wedding dinner at Gran Tortuga... how many people are seated at a table? Jazmin told me rectangle tables that can be put together can seat 7-10 people but I swear one or more of you had the rectangle table for your head table and then round tables for guests... I need to figure out my seating arrangement ASAP since I leave in less than a week! Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

wow! they look amazing!! -
I'm also using DJ Bijan with Mayan Vibes... my wedding is in 2 weeks so I'll be sure write a review! Yes, you cannot use an outside vendor for photography unless they are a guest staying at the resort. As for excursions... we decided to take 2.. and let people know the details in case they want to join us (out of their pocket)... so if people want to come with us they can.. or they can do their own thing. Most actually want to come with so it's working out good so far. I want to write a planning thread but I'm not sure if I'll have time.. if so I'll link to it here..

I'm starting to panic again! I emailed the spa trying to make an appointment to get my make up done a couple weeks ago and heard nothing. I emailed Jazmin about the timing of our meeting and some other stuff... nothing! I'm leaving in 12 days and I really hope they email me back in time! Did everyone bring copies of all emails between you and wedding coordinator? I'm wondering if I should be printing mine out soon??

Did anyone have this & is this part of the package or does it cost extra? So many questions all the time, I don't know what I would do without this forum....some of you ladies should become wedding planners you know so much!! Many thanks I would think children DO count... since you're really paying for the service more than the booze. I have 1 child so I'll let you know when I get back for sure! Not sure about the Thursday thing... I am also having a cocktail hour.. but it is an informal gathering at the lobby bar so it's free!

I leave in 2 weeks!! AHHH! I am doing the legal part before we go... a week from Friday already. I can't believe it's all so close. I had my bachelorette party last weekend and my shower is on Sunday. I still have to finish up a few things: OOT bag welcome letters (starting to wonder if I'm making too much work for myself) Book our excursions (the fun stuff!) Finish my programs Finalize ceremony music & burn the CD Finalize our sand ceremony reading Write/find vows (yikes, just found out we can bring our own) Pack!!! I'm still waiting for my boudoir book to be finished... this is also making me nervous since I absolutely MUST give it to my FI in time! Oh and I'm getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe -Tulum... just south of Playa Del Carmen in the Riviera Maya Mexico. I hear it's sweltering hot lately.. not sure what I was thinking! Other than the wedding day I plan to be in or near water at all times! Pandabride6 - how are you holding up being this close to your big day... are you overwhelmed with excitement too?!
-
Ok, I've seen it where loved ones who have passed are recognized on the wedding program... but I'm wondering if it would be weird or acceptable to recognize close family that can't make it on the program instead? For example, my father, grandparents and my FI's brother can't make it... I was thinking just a little line at the bottom or something. Thoughts?

How are those reviews coming along?! haha just kidding ladies I have a question about the meeting with the wedding coordinator... when is that scheduled? Is it always the 2nd day of your trip? I have an excursion planned for our 2nd day and we'll be gone from 8am til 6pm... and we want to book online before we get to mexico... but I'm concerned that Jazmin is going to schedule a meeting with me on this day. How flexible is that? Thanks!

They know exactly what they are doing and our wedding day was absolutely perfect! We had our ceremony at the Tulum gazebo (highly recommend it!), dinner at the Portfino and a poolide reception. People were telling us it was the best wedding they've ever been too!! Here's a sneak peek: I'll get to work on my review soon! Congrats! Can't wait to read your review! Does anyone have the spa price list? Just realized this seems to be the only think I'm missing and wondering how much it costs to have make up done, massage, etc. Thanks! 3 weeks til I leave!!!

Wedding Favours HELP!!!
swankster77 replied to omsampad's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Since we're doing pretty nice oot bag/contents we decided to forego the favors... every wedding i've been too they're always just a small trinket that ends up being thrown away... big waste of money if that's their fate! -
I finally heard back from Jazmin!! She even sent me a preliminary copy of the program/guest info for the day of the wedding! She said she usually gives that to the bride and groom at their meeting but she could tell I was nervous so she decided to send it to me. She also let me know that with the symbolic ceremony the minister is very flexible and allows the Bride and Groom to bring their own vows, they let you have special readings/readers and even songs(if you should want someone to sing). here is the order of events for the symbolic ceremony: -seating of guests -processionals -arrival of the bride -giving of the bride -opening blessing -reading -sermon -exchange of vows & giving of rings -signing of the certificate -pronouncement -the recessional
