  1. Hello all! I spent almost the entire weekend working on my wedding website.. I finally have something live. I used iWeb on my Mac... it was really easy but rather limiting with the background. I chose the 'Formal' template but I'm not sure if it's really 'me' or if it even portray's the flavor of our future wedding. I hope to play around with it some more... take a look if you'd like Any input is greatly appreciated! http://web.me.com/kirstenamber
  2. OMG! This thread has been soooo helpful! It's taken me over 2 weeks to read everything.. but I'm so glad I did. I'm getting married at GBP - Tulum on June 12, 2010.. can't wait! Here are a few questions... 1. The wedding reception dinner... if choosing the a la carte option (vs. private reception)... how do we go about mentioning to our guests that they need to save/use one of their dinner coupons (or whatever they are) for our wedding? I'm especially concerned with the small group that are coming for only 4 nights and will have only one. What have the other brides out there done/plan to do? 2. Documents needed... I'm divorced... blah. So I'm pretty sure I need a birth certificate and divorce decree... but do I also need my previous marriage license? And does EVERYTHING need to be translated into spanish and apostiled? 3. The resort photographer... The wedding packages come with either 5 or 10 pictures... this seems absurd to me. Does that mean printed pictures or do they only take 5 or 10 pictures? I was hoping to hire someone from outside the resort but a few recent posts mentioned this possibly not even being an option anymore. Booo to that. To you other ladies heading out in the next week or so... good luck and congrats! Thanks in advance for any help Kirsten

  4. Thanks everyone! I've been scouring this forum and learning tons and tons of stuff! I've decided on Gran Bahia Principe Tulum - June 12, 2010! WOOOHOO! Can't wait! Time for plenty more reading
  5. bouldini - when do you check in? Have you decided on your ceremony location?

One thing I found odd... she required no money down, no contract to sign or anything. She said everything would be charged to my room when I check in on June 8. I hope this is for real!

I'm in the process of booking my wedding... hoping for June 12, 2010 at Tulum... waiting to hear back from Paloma Flores... is that who you're dealing with? If it works out I think we'll be there at the same time!
  8. Hello all! I have been engaged for less than 2 weeks... we knew right away that we wanted to go somewhere fun for our wedding... We have a meeting with our travel agent on 9/23! I've been scouring the internet pretty much every free second I get researching different locations... I came upon this forum and it seems to have a lot of great stuff from real people all in one spot - which is awesome! We're looking to get married sometime in May/June 2010 and I think we've narrowed our search to the Riviera Maya. Once I get the details set I'll update this post. Looking forward to all the planning and getting to know the other brides on this forum! Cheers! Kirsten
