Or at least you can see what other dresses she designs that you may like, then do a google search for that style number and a lot of on-line store will pop up. I would highly suggest going to her website, because she has a LOT of cute little cocktail dresses, many of them very similar to the one I posted. She even has a page just of white dresses. -

HAHA! That's funny that you mention shoe-hunting for girls, because as soon as I saw that those shoes were in Canada only I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder if any of the girls on the forum who live in Canada would hunt them out for me!" You're a sweetheart! I'm sure they're long gone, but I guess you never know!

I actually think that I've seen those, and considered them. I just get nervous whenever I see colors like "Berry" or "Magenta". On-line they look perfect, but when I get them they are more true to their color and show up as red or purple. The style is great though!! I have some Chinese Laundry shoes, they're great shoes, and cheap!!

I almost have to not look at this thread so much, some of these new gowns on here are making me want a new gown! By the time my wedding comes around I think I may have 3 complete wedding day outfits! Oh well, here's another one to add to my list! This is going to be my AHR dress. I will wear my actual wedding gown for a little bit for people to see, and then change into this once the party starts -
Why is it that all the shoes that scream "This is it!" are unattainable? I found these shoes just randomly browsing the web: I fell in love with them!! AND they're Barbie shoes! (Literally, made for Barbie's 50th Birthday). The downside? They were a limited edition shoe that was made for her 50th birthday and were only available in Canada. Now, of course, sold out. Really?!? That's what you're gonna tell me after posting this amazing and perfect shoe?!!?

Breeze616 - I love your shoes!! Great website, Michelle! And I love your shoes! So girly and classy! -
LynnieS - I wear a 9.5 heel. I think that's why I'm so adamant about wanting to get my shoes NOW because already I've seen two shoes that I liked, didn't get them right away, and now can't find them ANYWHERE! They're just gone! Sold Out!! I also found a couple places that will dye shoes that weren't bought there. One is Custom Shoe Dyeing | Shoe Dyeing | Coloring Shoes | DyeMyShoes.com $15 and they pay your shipping one way. The color on those RSVP Maison ones are more of what I'm wanting. Love Martinez Valero! His version of the Carrie/Sex and the City ones are one of the pairs that are sold out everywhere! Thanks for posting! sgray - Great! Now I'm gonna have to bust out to DSW to see if they're there! Mischaka - Ooooh yellow! I never thought of that color, but would be great for a DW!!

I will take your advice Nicy and josietoms and try a pendant/necklace at my fitting.... As for getting the dress there...... My friend who wed in Mexico last Sept was told she could NOT have her dress as hand luggage! She had to pack it in her suitcase!!!! When i bought my dress the lady that owns the shop said they actually pack the dress for you. In a hand luggage case with special tissue paper that prevents creasing! She said in the summer it's like Heathrow with all the cases as DW's are becoming more popular. I told her about my friend not being aloud and she said just dont tell them it's your wedding dress! So that's what i'm planning to do. She said "you will be suprised what we can fit into a hand luggage case" so i have faith in them to do it for me ) Sorry for jabbering on lol....x Michelle my dress is a lot like yours, and I think that if you get one main piece of jewelry you'll be ok. I'm not really a necklace person, so I'm just going to wear big earrings and nothing else, not even a bracelet. I think if you make things look proportional, it won't look OTT. If you wear a blingy necklace, just wear studs for earrings, or something along those lines. Obviously when you see everything on, you'll know

LadyTrunck - Haha! Awww, thanks! I know it shouldn't be this complicated, but for some reason it is certainly turning out to be! Sgray - I love those first ones with the 2 buckles! Unfortunately when I clicked on them it said they were sold out (go figure, huh!). I think they'd probably be too tall for my dress anyway. Thanks for posting them! They're the exact color I want! I just can't give up on those Stuart Weitzman's! I think I'm going to order them in white, get a fuchsia color swatch and find some place to dye them (again!) I didn't get a color swatch the first time around and I'm pretty sure that's where I went wrong. I just got so impatient and wanted them already! If anyone knows any place on-line that will dye shoes that aren't originally purchased from them, let me know!! I've been looking myself, and haven't found a place.

First of all, I LOVE shoes. I have probably been more excited to find my wedding heels than my actual dress. With that in mind, I have had quite the roller-coaster with finding my perfect heels...and my wedding is still a year away! ; ) Hopefully my search can help some others in finding their perfect shoe. Let me know if you would like to know websites, prices, anything that I have done that can give you some guidance! (BTW, the shoes that I have shown here are for sale except for the first Magenta Stuart Weitzman's...Not trying to make any money, just want to get back as much as I put into them if possible.) I LOVE the Stuart Weitzman "Jumbo" heels. They looked amazingly dark pink in the photo (at least on my computer screen), but upon getting them, they turned out more magenta/purple. Everything about them was great, VERY comfortable, loved the heel/height, loved the bow an peep toe, etc. So then I found a site that had these in white and would professionally dye them for you. So I ordered them in a brighter pink, sure so as to not get purple and this is what I got. Again, LOVED them, except now they were too pink for me and I wanted a little more fuschia (am I Goldilocks here or what?!?) So I figured I wasn't going to get my Stuart Weitzman Jumbo heels in the color I wanted and settled on looking for a different style. I found these, different from what I've ever seen, fuschia colored, sling back peep-toe, cheap...perfect! I got them and they are too tall for the length of my gown (by about an inch). ~SIGH~ They look great on, like to color, love the ruffles, but still a hit and miss. My goal is to find a cute shoes with about a 3 1/2" inch heel (can't be over 4", would like a little under that), fuscia/darker pink color, a bow or some sort of embellishment (like the ruffles) preferred, and I want to rhinestone the heel with swarovski crystals. I will keep this thread updated with what I find next, and would love any "leads" ; )

So I ended up getting these and they are not the shade of pink that I am wanting. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the shoe itself (cute, comfortable) but I just can't love the color because I wanted something darker. So I'm selling these if anyone is interested. I also have a thread in the "Buy/Sell/Freebies" section, but I thought it'd be fitting to post pics in this thread since they are indeed wedding shoes! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...n-heels-57509/ -
These are a pair of bright pink Stuart Weitzman heels. They are brand new, never worn, still in the box. I LOVE them, they just aren't the right shade of pink for what I'm wanting. I had them professionally dyed so you will not find another pair like them. They are a satin shoe with an adjustable buckle closure and leather lining. Size: 9.5 (True to size) Heel Height: 3.5" They really are fabulous (and comfortable!) shoes if you are wanting a sassy pink heel for your big day! SALE: $340 I'm just wanting to get out of them what I paid for them, but am willing to consider best offers.

The thing with doing a store like Macy's is that the merchandise is so variable month to month and the items would need to be readily available whenever the GM decide to order. Yes, this is pretty much the only thing that he taking a real interest as far as planning. I thought about getting a nice khaki suit and tie for my FI and then have the GM where just khaki dress pants, white dress shirt and matching ties. THoughts? I dont want to ask them to buy a whole suit. Tyler will wear something very similar to these suits and the best man will wear khaki dress pants and a white shit.

I think a package is cheaper, but I like the flexibility better. Also, there are great deals to be found on airfare, if people just track it and watch for the sales. Especially from Chicago, you can get very cheap, direct flights! Looks like we are on the same page with out hotel bookings! I think the more people you start inviting to your wedding, the more you have to allow them to make their own travel arrangements since everyone has different schedules. I found most of my lingerie on Frederick's of Hollywood site and a site I found called Lingerie Diva. I've done a lot of google searches and so far these have been the best sites, in my opinion. They have the most stuff when it comes to bright, fun, frilly stuff. As far as the kids finding it someday, I'm not too worried! I had to find my share of embarrassing things from my parents! *cringe* Plus, I want to be able to look back at myself someday and be like, "See! I did have nice legs at one point in time!"

If I am successful in getting the rates from them, then maybe I will do what you're doing & have guests book directly with the resort. Did you by chance compare the costs of doing it as a package versus group rate? I have heard that package is almost always cheaper, but haven't investigated this myself. Yes we're going to have them book their own flights. My main concern with setting up packages through a TA is that in order to get the best price, everyone was going to have to travel on the same days. Some of my family wants to go down early so they can spend some more time in Mexico because we've already told them that within a couple days after the wedding, everyone's gotta go because we are then officially on our honeymoon! ; ) I'm sure that packages are probably cheaper, but I guess I was willing to make everyone pay a little more in exchange for the flexibility of them being able to make their own itinerary (and I think most of my guests would agree with it). Another thing that I'm absolutely terrified about is getting to Mexico and finding out that us our some of our guests got bumped from their room. I've heard that it happens down there a lot, but if you book directly through the hotel then you pretty much don't have to worry about being bumped at all. Mischaka - Um, ya! Wouldn't it be nice to roll in to the photo shoot looking like that! I have a feeling those outfits might look a little different on me than they do on them! ; )

But this is a lovely idea. I wonder if we can get them done in the UK. I'm not to body confident but i would love to have something like this for Dan! What a great idea. What is your favourite look? They are all so pretty/girlie! Your FI will love it!!!! YAY! Thank you! I guess I'm more of the frivolous type, esp when it comes to a wedding gift that will mark "our day". And Tyler and I are kind of known for ruining ideas for gifts b/c if we need a new watch, new ipod, etc, we just go out and get it ourselves. We are not good about waiting for birthdays to come around. Plus I don't know too many guys, esp mine, that wouldn't like these I love them all, but I think 1, 2, 4 and 6 are my fav (I get to have 4 outfits). I do have some different things coming in the mail though, so I'm sure my mind will change a few more times between now and August! I'm sure there is someone in your area that will do them. There are a couple different styles of boudior, many photographers do the more romantic/traditional style. Mine is more of the fun, big hair, lots of make-up kind but that's more what I want. Either way, I'm positive you would be able to find one, or at least one willing to do them for you. When I talked to Beth she said that more times than not, the bride is a little self-conscious and nervous, but she helps them pose and get into it and by the end they are loving it!
