  1. I'm stuck too! Everything got closed down today, and pretty much everything is already closed for tomorrow as well
  2. Hi there! I am having a Catholic wedding as well and we are booked for the Chapel of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Playa del Carmen. There are a lot of other catholic churches in the area so that might be a possibility for you!
  3. Hi Brooke! Welcome to the forum!
  4. Congratulations, welcome to the forum!

The first time I tried it though, I may as well have worn nothing at all because my crappy tape job sure wasn't doing anything.
  7. When I lose weight the girls are the first things to go, however when I've gained weight they have gotten up to a D before and I still tape em up!! (It just may take some extra tape!)

Does that really hold them up I'm so curious about this now!!!! As funny as this sounds, you do have to practice to get to where the "end product" looks like it's supposed to! I have tried those stick on cups before and for me they just don't work. They don't stay on as well, and sometimes they just don't look right with certain shirt or dresses. But that's just me. Get a good strip of tape, long enough to where it will reach all the way cross the underside of your breasts, but not too long to where the ends up the tape will show under your armpits and outside your dress. Bend over and start the tape roughly 3-4 inches down from your armpit. Sweep the tape down and under your breasts while holding your breasts in and up (for lift and cleavage), then back up to the same place you started on the opposite side (roughly 3 inches down from your opposite arm pit) The idea is that the tape should have a little bit of a U-shape (starting on one side underneath your armpit, going down under your breasts, then back up to the other side underneath the other armpit) I don't go all the way under my breasts (to where they're hanging over the tape), because I guess depending on what size you are, it doesn't really do anything to help at all. When I tape across the girls I try to just hit the bottom of them (just under the nipple) so it lifts them up. I also usually use a couple to a few strips of tape so I get them just how I want them! ; ) MObride09 maybe you can explain it your way too, since I may have rambled too much for anyone to understand!
  9. Tape! I use tape more than strapless bras. They have clear duct tape that works good because it stays stuck if you get hot and sweaty, yet is clear so just in case you have your dress shift a little and some tape happens to show, it's not ugly grey duct tape that pops out. I have to say, there are sometimes that it's not the most fun to take off at the end of the night, but it sure does it's job well throughout the day/night!

Brand new (one shoe still in original packaging) size 41 / size 10 (however they run small so would probably fit a 9, maybe a 9 1/2 better) 4 inch heel $200 (this includes s&h) accepting questions and offers! 11. I actually think it matches the dress well, I just wouldn't do anything more than maybe some studs for earrings though.

My corner rounder (I finally found!) works great. Here are some pics. I still need to get the envelopes for them and the "Return Ticket" Envelopes that we'll prestamp. But all in all they turned out pretty good. I want to thank all of you who were an insperation (I actually borrowed the return ticket idea from someone, sorry I forget who, but thanks!!) These look fabulous, Crystalballl! Do you think there is anyway you could attach the the image you used for the background on the first boarding pass? I have been trying to find an image that I like to used for the background on mine and I haven't been able to. But I love the one you used!

Also - can you guys by diuretics (ie prescription strength - like say a thiazide diuretic?). These are not available in Canada without a prescription, though I'm sure ppl get them online. Although it sounds tempting, I would really stay away from these - they have a lot of potentially negative side effects ranging from mild ones (like dizziness or low blood pressure) to more serious ones (like kidney stones, or electrolyte imbalances). I am not sure about dandellion root but it's probably got a mild effect at best so its most likely safe. The problem with using things like these "water pills" is that you are only losing water weight - and they can actually make you extremely dehydrated (unlikely if you are taking small amounts but still). In case you guys are wondering I am a medical student - so I just worry when I hear about these sorts of things (also I just finished learning about the kidney lol). I think its great that ppl want to get into shape and that the wedding is motivation, but I really hope that it does not become an obsession so much that you start to associate your success/self worth only with weight loss...I think its a fine balance. I guess what I am trying to say is - set realistic goals (like the OP said - she reassessed what she could realistically achieved and is satisfied with the outcome, I think that's the way to do it!). As for losing weight around the Abs - I don't think there is any magical solution, but if you don't do much cardio I would definitely suggest it (you could start with something low impact like the elliptical) - and also add in some strength training, and ab exercises. If you enjoy dancing - you could take a Zumba class, or yoga etc etc. Whatever you can do to increase your calorie burn and target those core muscles SHOULD help you lose weight. Sometimes I think your body gets used to the same old exercises, so its good to switch it up once in awhile, you may see some results! Good luck everyone. That's great that you're a med student! I am a pharmacy student! It's the same down here, you need a prescription to get the serious diuretics. I've know someone who used some her mom's hydrochlorothiazide for it's water loss properties, and in NO WAY would I suggest anyone do this. I just think that there are way too many serious side effects that people don't know about with these drugs. I, like many others I'm sure, do take OTC diuretics from time to time. But I also make drinking water an obsession when I'm on them. Like anything else, I think they're fine when taken in moderation and when the person taking them knows enough about them so as to stay safe.
  14. Ya, I should probably re-iterate the fact that this diet is used to firm up for a special occasion AFTER YOU'VE BEEN WORKING OUT REGULARLY AND EATING HEALTHY as part of a lifestyle choice. I absolutely do not think that girls should follow this diet on a regular basis, or for more than 6-days. It's pretty much just a sort of detox diet. It also makes a girl really cranky! The general diet I follow also includes a lot of protein, probably more so than the average person, because I like to lift and work out a lot. You really don't have to have a protein shake for 4 meals a day to see results. Look at what your habits are now, and alter them to include better choices (like what kuteliya said). Later on down the road, re-evaluate and change things up again if needed. I am a firm believer that different diets work for different people, especially taking into account peoples' personal fitness goals and where they currently are as far as diet and exercise habits.
  15. I used to compete for Miss Nebraska and this is a 6-day diet that is meant to "strip" you down. It gets rid of excess body water (since it includes taking a diuretic as part of the plan) and really makes your body look more defined and tighter. I've also attached the normal diet I was on when I was training in the months prior to the pageant. This one is a bit more manageable! KEEP IN MIND...the way this whole plan is supposed to work is that in the months leading up to your event you are following a "normal" diet (whether it be the general one I've attached or just a healthy one on your own), lifting weights and doing cardio, and then the 6-days leading up to your event is when you kick in the 6-day diet to enhance all the work that you have been doing leading up to this point. I am not a personal trainer, nor a nutritionist and I am not trying to condone quick results with no work put behind them. However, I feel these plans may help some of the girls who seem to have hit a plateau and need a change-up. And the 6-day one DEFINITELY does what it is supposed to! I think it's a great money save to have someone you know play, as well as it adds a little personal touch to everything.
  17. I will check with my planner to see who they book because it is in my quote that if you want a guitarist it is $100 per musician for 45 min sets (for the ceremony), plus $150 for the sound system at the church.
  18. Thank you so much for, not only posting your templates, but also including all the details and tricks that you used to make them!!

I asked him that exact question since he states full resolution but not how big of prints you can make. He replied saying you'd be able to make poster size prints (20x30). That was a big selling point for me!

  21. I'm going with blue and purple for my colors as well, but more darker shades than you. Hydranges and Lisianthus are good purples, as well as just some light purple roses. It sounds like you're wanting more lighter shades of color. Here are the darker shades of blue and purple you can get, this is my bouquet filled with roses, delphiniums, hydrangeas, and lisianthus Here are a couple shades of blue delphinims I found. And I know you can get delphiniums in Mexico b/c I'm having them in my bouquet These are hydranges, however I do know that hydrangeas don't stand up against the heat well at all and aren't usually recommended in Mexico. I would just google some of these flower names and you will get all sorts of images and color shades. Also you can go to another wedding website and search photos of bouquets by color to give some great ideas.
  22. My wedding isn't until May 2011, but I wanted to be sure to get first choice of when to book my church so I already hired my wedding planner and I was having this struggle too. I wanted photos after the ceremony to be with the setting sun so wasn't quite sure what time to choose. I asked my WP what time she thought the sun would be going down and she replied back with 7:20pm on May 20, 2011. . . Ok! I would've accepted more of an "Oh, around 6:30 or 7" but I guess where you're job is to be THAT on top of things you know the minute the sun will set a year and a half from now : ) My point being, choose what aspect of your day/night is most important and plan around that. I was more interested in getting good photos, and felt my guests could eat a snack before the wedding and wait a little bit before dinner (wedding 4:30-5:30, photos 5:30-7/7:3, dinner afterward) You may want to schedule your wedding around your ideal reception/dinner time. Hope you found something useful in my rambling!!
