So, this is from the comments further back but I talked with Claudia today & she told me that she would exchange the Mexican Trio for 5 more free people at the reception. So, in total thats 15 extra that I managed to exchange for so 35 people in total...now lets just hope I can keep our guest list down to a reasonable number... I'm also alittle disappointed with the new beach. I love that its so big, but one of the main reasons I chose Dreams was because of the view around the gazebo....I hope the beach isn't packed on our wedding day, but it probably won't be since its in October which is off-season...

Just wondering if anyone else bought their dress at Cameo & Cufflinks?? I would have vented about this earlier but am now just realizing the problem I might have on my hands... I bought my Paloma Blanca from them a couple weeks ago and it happened to be during the sample sale. My dress wasn't part of the sale so they wouldn't get it out of the stock room for me to try on. Its a $1900 purchase so I was alittle irritated by that, regardless I purchased it. The girl taking my measurments had to double check & really didn't seem to know what size to order so she said "I remeber you trying on the sample a month ago & it wasn't too big so lets go with that" Here's the problem....I'm a street size 0....she ordered me a size 8. The sample that I tried on was a size 8 but totally had to be pinned quite abit. She should have known when I said i was a street 0 that 8 was WAYYYY too big for me...she is the professional and I shouldn't be expected to have to question her in sizes!! After reading up on alterations I realize that dresses can only be altered down about 4 dress sizes. So no i'm kinda freaking out wondering if it will even be able to be altered that much & how much that drastic altering is going to cost ME?? Lastly, when we went to put the $1000 deposit on the dress she asked if I had been to the Bridal Fair & I said yeas...thats how I knew of the sample sale. She asked if I had my coupon and I said I had left it at home and I said I could bring it in next time & she said she unfortunatley couldn't give me my 10% discount....Ughhh....seriously annoying. Then she said she would make a note of it and maybe they would give me a discount when I came in to pay the remaining balance Sorry i'm just venting......& maybe wondering if anyone has had any problems like this??

Oooohhh...I LOVE that dress! I just bought my dress a couple of weeks ago & can't wait to wear it I love Paloma Blancas...they are so lightweight & perfect for beach weddings!!

I'm going to go against the grain and say #1....That dress is beautiful for a beach wedding, so flowy, whimsical & romantic. <3 that dress!!

A while back I asked Claudia to exchange the cocktail hour for a few more guests at the reception...she allowed me 10 more guests. We are all just going to hit up one of the bars in the hotel and drink for free for an hour. Yesterday I asked her if I could exchange the Mexican Trio for a few more people at the reception as our wedding party & guests attending is very large, she told me that the accounting department is being very difficult with the trades lately & not allowiing Claudia or Cecilia to do much more trading...she did say that regardless she was going to try & help me out with a few more....

STOKED!!! I sent my deposit in to Dreams a few days ago and its now official!!! Woot-Woot

Nevermind...I had nothing better to do at work & googled some photographers. Has anyone heard of or used Cancun Wedding Photography or all-about-photography? I think they are the same company...anyway, they do a TTD session for under $1000 so i'm stoked. I hope they are good

Unfortunatley it wasn't one of the dresses from the sample sale so I had to pay full price Seems pretty ridiculous to spend so much money on something i'll only wear for such a short time frame, but I think i'll try selling it when the wedding is over to recoup some of my money...Its really pretty though. So light and perfect for the beach

I chose Dreams Cancun because it is a beautiful, kid friendly all inclusive AND because of the wedding gazebo...BEAUTIFUL!!

Just wondering if anyone has used the resort photographer?? Our plan was to take a photographer with us but now due to some problems that won't be happening so I have to use the photographer that comes with the package I still would like to have a TTD shoot the next day. Does anyone know any photographers in Mexico that would do a beach TTD for around $1000?? Thanks

Yeah, I was pretty nervous when I bought it as the girl said it would take anywhere from 6-8 months to get it in & another month for alterations....My wedding is in 8 months and the girl ordered me a dress that was definitley too big and I knew i would need alterations. She did say that because Paloma Blanca is a canadian designer she is usually very fast & it would probably be closer to 6 months...so fingers crossed!!! Heres a better picture of the dress...I just couldn't post a picture earlier...

Soo happy about it! Its kind of a shock to actually have it ordered...everything just seems to be coming together so quickly Kind of unreal....

The shoot for a total of 12 hours....so starting with us getting ready right through to the reception & the next days TTD session. I'm super excited. They gave us a great deal--still busted our budget--but i think it'll be worth it. One will be photographing & the other will be making a video They threw the disc with all of our digital negatives in for free which will be something like 2500 photos!! Couldn't be happier!
