Potential to turn out bad! Need advice
meldal101010 replied to JanineA's topic in Just venting or funnies
I'm the mother of two wonderful, rambunctious & loud toddlers who i love with every fiber of my being, but even i kind of get where your coming from. After much back & forth deliberation my FI & I have decided to leave the kids at home with my dad (not one for Mexican heat) while we go & celebrate kid free!! I'm going to miss my kids alot as i have only spent a handful of days without them...but the sound of a 2 week no responsibility vacation sounds heavenly to me...lol The bonus is my dad is travelling to my city so my kiddos will be tucked neatly away in their own beds while i sip on some Coronas + my little guy is two now & still EXTREMELY attached to me so unless i want my little guy on my hip while we exchange rings...lol this is the best solution. -
So if its a part of the all inclusive...that means drinks & everything are free If so, thats awesome for me. I'm not big on latin music at all....but was worried about hwat we would all do after the reception. I guess now i know!! Woo-Hoo!!! Its just a bummer that they close so early, but my guests will probably be tired by 1 anyway

Thanks. All of this is just overwhelming lol Luckily i had only sent the menus to a couple of people so i backtracked & corrected myself. What i've done now is give them the option of picking the chicken suprema option or the dreams duo option (steak & fish) Claudia said that should be fine since there are some people who don't like fish and we are only having about 30 people...Is that what you guys are doing? If they only let you pick one how could you possibly decide when so many people have such different tastes.

Needing some urgent help!!! How does the menu work. Do my guests get to choose between options 1, 2 or 3 I'm so confused...Claudia said i can mix & match from the silver & gold menu so i sent out emails to the confirmed guests with the silver & gold options & told them to pick what they want...is this right Do i pick one option & thats what everyone gets Aaaahhh....i've never been more confused by food!!!!

Are any of you getting more stressed out as it gets closer? I've been so relaxed up until now & all i can think about are the things that need to get done & we need to buy. Its getting alittle overwhelming.

Does anyone know a good place to buy chair sashes in the city? I'd rather try to find a place to get them here then order online & pay crazy shipping. Thanks ladies

Great idea!! I'm looking for fuschia chair sashes (atleast 35-40) for my October wedding. I'll freecycle them to another BDW bride when my wedding is over -

Thanks!! I just searched the forum & there is a girl from Toronto on here that said she paid $64 for brokerage fees at the border. Thats not too bad. I unfortunatley haven't recieved mine. Customer service wrote me a week after i placed my order & told me they were out of stock for the ones I ordered so I had to switch to a different mug...luckily they had my wedding color so it worked out. I do have a question for other ladies who have ordered these. Did anyone have trouble getting the mugs through customs in Mexico?? I would give my in-laws some to take, but they don't have the space so i'll be packing them all in one bag...

Ughhhh.....I really can't believe so many couples have to go through this. When we were planning we sent out 100 invites & 55 people came back saying they were coming, just by word of mouth, email etc...well our RSVPs are supposed to be returned by June 1st & we've only recieved 5 back...5 out of 100 invites...ridiculous. The worst is that I really wanted to get some things bought so we went ahead & ordered 60 of everything because these 55 people were for sures...now people are backing out & we have a for sure guest list of 28 people....I even went ahead & ordered 60 mugs from discount mugs---not cheap & now we have double what we'll need. I can't even sell them because we had them personalized:s SUPER frustrating...but in a way my fault for taking peoples words & not waiting until they were booked...

I'm from calgary & ordered them a couple of weeks ago. We ordered 60 with designs (names, date, picture) They are 16oz with handles. The total came to $240.00 CAD with shipping. My delivery date is set for June 2nd so i'll let you know about customs when i get them....I was thinking i'd possibly have to pay the GST & that was it. We don't have PST in Alberta & if the items are made in the States we don't have to pay anything other then GST, PST for the items...atleast i'm hoping thats the way it works. I'm dreading having to pay another 100 for these mugs

WOOT-WOOT for October 2010 Brides!!! 5 Months & i'm getting so antsy...I have about 17 people booked, but there are 40 in total who said they were going. Its so tough, because i REALLY want to start buying stuff...sashes, favors, etc...but can't until i have the exact number of people. I sent out my invites a month ago & gave everyone until June 1st to RSVP...but I wish I had've given them less time lol.. Regardless...its getting close & the 5 months are going to fly by.

Is it ok NOT to do invitations?
meldal101010 replied to AngelaVaradero's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I personally think STDs are the same as an invite (for a DW anyway). I mean, you wouldn't send an STD to some random person so obiously the people that recieve them are invited to the wedding. Save yourself the money and put it towards your wedding in another way. -
uh oh, back fat!?

I've been doing the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred DVD...Its fantastic!!! You can get it just about anywhere that sells workout dvds. I've been doing it for a week now & can notice a change in the tone of my body. I'm like you, 5"1-100 pounds but just needed to tone up. Its a challenge but worth it. I totally think you'd notice a difference with it in 2 weeks. Hope this helps!! P.S> I LOVE your dress! Its so pretty -
Hahaha...Its funny to me now that I can't feel the pain anymore. I must've looked hilarious to my neighbors. Yeah, thats good that your dog hates weather like this too & bolts right back in. Smart puppy It would suck to have one of those dogs that loved the snow & rolled around in it...then you'd have to go chasing it around your backyard. Doesn't sound like a very good time to me:S

Ughhh...this weather is crap!!!! I seriously took one step on my doorstep (with shovel in hand) this morning and slipped & fell backwards & slammed my head onto my Trailblazer....UGHHHH....Calgary weather. Not a great way to start a morning...lol

Thanks!! I looked through the videos as well & was thinking about upgrading to that one. Its a Junior Jacuzzi Suite?? Thats all the room we'll need. I just wanted some seating other then the bed.

You can stick to it!!! I just finished my 2nd day & it honestly felt easier today then yesterday. I really love it & can't wait to do it everyday
