Hope this eases your mind as well Wedding Planner #-- Honeymoon and Destination Weddings, Honeymoon Planning It says October is one of the best months to have a wedding in Mexico!! YAY!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!
  4. I'm 5'1 and my FI is 6'4 so i'm definitley going to need some tall some heels...atleast for the first dance...lol...but for everyting else i'm just doing kitten heels and flip flops
  5. We are going to dance to 'Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton' or 'Nothing Compares To You -Stereophonics '...leaning more towards Clapton because it is "our" song, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Stereophonics...hmmmm....tough choice
  6. I think i'll order my TTD from Light in the box...i'm going to get an inexpensive one, and see how that turns out. If it looks good, then i'll probably go ahead and order my wedding dress from there....you can't really beat the price.... If its not what i want and looks like a choppy job was done, I will DEFINITLEY be buying off the rack
  7. I'm another one from Nova Scotia....New Glasgow born & raised Living in Calgary for the past 8-9 years. FI from Calgs. Getting married at Dreams Cancun on 10/10/10!!!!!

Ohhhh....so you can skip the bloodwork and the extra 4 days if you get legally married beforehand?? If so, thats definitley what i'll be doing. Less of a hassle. Thanks Kat, that was SUPER helpful and awesome news to me!!!

If it helps you a little, the quote that I receved from calgary at the beginning of August 2010 was $1908 a person for flight, hotel and transfers. These rates are through Air Canada Vacations and include an early booking bonus of $460/person. This quote did not become available until the beginning of september so it might be a little while to get october pricing is out but it is deffinatley worth keeping your eyes open for the early booking bonuses, deffinatley made this trip more affordable for our guests. You may be able to get a better gorup rate than i did as i only have 15 people but i am not sure. Dreams Cancun is an amzing resort and I cant wait to be married there. Let me know if I can help you with anything! Nadine, it is great to see another Calgarian on here!!! Go Flames!!! lol...First off, let me start by saying a big congrats to you!!! When is your wedding date? We'll probably get to know each other on here pretty well over the next year or so It seems like a great place to get some of your questions answered and to get ideas Anyway, another couple questions to anybody who can answer them for me....we want to get married on Oct 10, 2010---but that seems to be a Sunday. Does anyone know if they perform ceremonies on Sundays? If they do, is anything open...bars, etc...? Also, are most people getting legally married before they actually go away? Is it a requirement? Why?? Thanks all and Congratulations to everyone!!!!
  10. Good idea! That makes more sense. I also wouldn't want them to break in my luggage and have hot sauce covering everything. I'm definitley going to bring labels and buy bottles down there. Thanks!!
  11. I'm planning on getting personalized bottles of hot sauce as wedding favors and was wondering if i would even be allowed to bring these into Mexico. I'm flying from Canada to Mexico.... Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring these in as luggage stored under the plane. Of course, they won't be opened. Thanks!!
  12. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the weather is like in Cancun in October...does it rain alot?? Thanks everyone!! This forum is sooooo great!!!
  13. Hi...i'm new to this forum and i tried sending you a private message asking for the pricing budget....i'm not sure if it worked...lol anyhow, if anyone that recieved the pricing could send it to my email at [email protected] that would be awesome. This is all so confusing....also this may be a silly question but what does TTD stand for?? Thanks everyone!!!!

I agree with the other ladies that you should check out orbitz or expedia for hotel+airfare costs. Good luck with your decision! Thanks you!! The website is extremely helpful!!

  16. I'm wondering if anyone knows who I have to get in touch with for some info on Dreams, Cancun. I've just decided this is where i would like to have my wedding next October, but I don't know what my next step is. I would prefer to have more info (prices of rooms, Cost for 30+ guests, etc...) before I make a final decision. For those who married here....did you find it to be fairly affordable, because I don't want my guests having to shell out too much money. I am planning on getting the Ultimate package...does this include the room for the bride & groom? Did you find there were lots of activities to choose from for your guests (swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, etc..) Sorry about all the questions, but there is just soooo much too take in, i feel as if my head is about to explode...lol
  17. Thanks everyone! This site has proven to be pretty helpful so far. It just seems so difficult to plan it all....i'm already stressed just by looking at everything...there is sooo much to take in!! Now that I have decided on a location, does anyone know what my next step should be....who to contact, etc... any help or advice would be awesome!!!
  18. Hi everyone, I'm Mel and will be getting married in Mexico (i'm thinking Dreams Cancun - Ultimate Wedding Package) on October 10, 2010. I'm excited but extremely confused about where to begin with the planning. I've decided on Dreams cancun, just from reading some reviews. Regardless of where we do it, its going to be sooo great! I couldn't be happier!!! We have been together for 6 years and have two small toddlers together...so its definitley about time
