A lot of the brides on this forum have done that and said it worked out wonderfully. I exchanged the cocktail hour for 15 extra people at dinner since we are having 43 guests and only 20 are covered in the package. The price I was quoted for dinner was $42 + 15% service fee + 10% tax so a total of $52.50 per person. Hope that helps clarify. I'm going to skip the cocktail hour for sure! Hopefully they will agree to give me 15 extra people at the reception because we have anywhere from 40-55 people coming...$52 seems reasonable.

If you opt to not have the cocktail hour then your per person charge is less for the extra people because you only have to pay the extra for dinner. OK...so i don't know how to attach the documents that Cecilia sent me...so i'll write it out....and this was just sent to me last week so its for the 2010 year. For Cocktail Hour: Gold or Silver Menu appetizers + 1 hr international open bar = $26/person Reception: Siver or gold menu includes 3 hour international open bar = $48/person Additional Hour International open bar = $15/person/hour These prices don't include 10% tax and 15% gratuity. Hope this helps!!

I'm going to wear my actual wedding dress for TTD. I figure i'll only ever wear it during these times so i don't mind if it gets ripped, dirty etc...the memories will be there. I'm going to risk it and order online and hope it turns out so I know i won't be reselling, it'll just be one of the MANY items of clothing that sits in my closet for years that i can't part with...lol

Maybe they are quoting the 2010 rates....seems like quite a hike in the price, but I think i'll try what Nadine mentioned and skip the cocktail hour in exchange for 10 more people at the reception since we are having over 30 extra guests that could get crazy expensive...

Is it possible to do the ceremony on the beach, but literally on the beach not in the gazebo thing they talk about? My other question is people, all the packages say 20 people, I'm wondering if we can have more at a per person charge. thanks again! Here is a link to the wedding extras pricing. Cecilia sent me a booklet that lists all the extras, but unfortunatley I don't know how to post an attachment This is basically the same thing. Dreams Cancun Resorts & Spas: Wedding Extras As for the photographer at the resort I think his name is Juan Navarro--you might want to double check, as i will not be using him but i believe i saw his name on here somewhere for being the dreams Cancun photographer-- and you can look at some of his work at www.juanphotos.com Hope this helps! Love it. you look beautiful!! -
Has anyone ever purchased a dress from Little Coral?? I just found another site online www.littlecoral.com they actually show some pictures of the finished dress, and they look quite nice. I googled some reviews about them as well and most of the reviews were positive. A couple people had sizing issues, but that was because they measured themselves. One girl had a problem with her dress and she contacted them and as long as she paid shipping cost they fixed it for her.The prices are reasonable, not as cheap as LightInABox, but still very reasonable.

I just recieved an email from Cecilia with other dates in October 2010 that are available. She was sooo fast with her response so that makes me feel at ease. I have my heart set on dreams cancun so i'm just going to go ahead and book another date in October. I don't think the date matters as much as the location. The wedding will be wonderful regardless!!! I'm so excited!!!!!

Well ladies, I filled out a wedding request form at Dreams Cancun for 10/10/10 last month. Cecilia just got back to me today and let me know that the date is all booked up already!! Not a huge deal, but i know I saw some girls on here that wanted that date at that location and wanted to let them know if they haven't already booked it, it's too late Hopefully after i talk to my FI and we agree on another date it'll be available!!
