I'm heading to Cameo & Cufflinks Saturday to check out the Paloma Blancas they have on sale...I have my dress, but if i can find something else for my TTD then bonus....

Working now... On another note....So excited. We have decided to go with Tait to travel with us to Cancun to cover the wedding & TTD session!!! Just have to give them the deposit & its a done deal! We are getting a good deal from them & having both photographers come with us so everyting gets covered!!! YAY! Its so nerve wracking spending all this money but so exciting because it makes it so much more real!!!! :)

YAY!!!! I came to this thread at the perfect time. Are any of you ladies hiring Tait to do your wedding photography. They gave me a quote of $2400 CAD all inclusive for them to travel to Cancun with us to shoot our wedding (Unlimited) & the TTD session the next day. Thats just alittle more than some of the quotes I had recieved from Mexican photogs to just the TTD (4 hrs & 50 photos for 1950) Sooo excited... Also has anyone worked with Tierone Travel?? Are they good?? I talked to a TA today & she seems to know her stuff...

Is the wedding fair pretty bad?? My FIs family have roped me into going & i really wasn't all that stoked about it in the first place....now i'm even less stoked Oh well, it's only a couple hours out of my life lol Anyway, this is alittle off topic...I'm not much a winter lover, but seriously this frost makes Calgary look so pretty. The trees look so NICE!!!!!

A girl on this site (RachelRaye-spelling could be wrong, but she has posted in this thread) had a Maggie dress replicated. It turned out beautifully. It was also chiffon. I believe she even had the dress up for sale on this site. Have you tried off the rack? Maybe a bridal store carries your size and you wouldn't have to alter it so it would be ready in time for your April wedding.

I recommend trying on all different shapes and styles, because i for one had an idea of what style i liked (mermaid) & what i absolutley did NOT want---and what i thought i did not want is what i ended up with. You never really know whats going to look good until you try them on.

My FI & I are using Pierre Violle. We are going to use the resort photographer for the wedding as well, and are using him for just the TTD. He has two options for TTD. The beach with shots in the ocean or a cenote in the jungle--we are going for that one. Here is a attachment he sent to me about pricing... I am wondering how to deal with that situation as well. It is mostly from my FIs side and his friends as all my friends & family are coming single or with other family that has been invited. I think i'm just going to get my FI to have a chat with them & let them know we are only inviting nearest & dearest to us...hopefully they aren't to choked & if they are...well maybe they can pay the extra $70-90 per person for the wedding & reception...

I am So happy to hear she is home safe! I have two small children of my own and i can't even imagine anything like this happening to them! But again, this brings up the issue of the Amber Alert!! Have police completely forgotten what happened over the summer?? This makes me angry, because even though i live in Calgary, I feel as if a child-teenager goes missing an Amber alert should go up and ALL media should be notified by police to get it out there to the public. I watch the news every night & saw nothing about this missing girl. Again, I am really happy to hear she is safe & sound. What a relief for the family!!!
