It doesn't really work that well. I have a big black tribal tattoo between my shoulder blades and up a little. Hate the darn thing now. I really wanna cover it up, but as a makeup artist myself, I knew that very few are non transferable or sweat proof. the only thing that MAY work is hiring someone who works with an airbrush machine. This is likely the only thing that won't sweat off or need touchups. I'm just trying to grow my hair long enough to cover it and wear my hear down.

He and I say that the night of the wedding it's on!!! We definitely wanted to wait till it was official though. I was pregnant at my first wedding, so I also wanted to be able to enjoy some coctails too!!!
  3. Pretty Pig you're avatar catches my eye every time! I love love love that ring! Side note, my dress is a zip up, but I believe it has buttons down the back as well.

  5. Congratulations! All those locations have a wide array of all inclusive resorts that are an awesome option for your guests since once they pay for their trip, not much more money is needed! This forum will be great help for you!
  6. Does anyone have the 2011 package pricing list yet
  7. From what I understand it's coming more toward the states. I have a client who just got home from Riviera Maya last week and said it's not an issue at all.
  8. We booked a year in advance and sent out STD's/Booking info 9 months in advance and invitations 5 months in advance. Good luck!
  9. Unfortunately my FI grandmother is not going to be able to come to the wedding. She is fairly healthy, just can't stand that long of travel. I'm hoping that she may yet be able to make it. It's not easy to not have her there.
  10. Congrats on your engagement, and trust us, this forum will do more than help!!!

Went on about how I shouldn't buy from that other store because if anything happened to their MS contract b/c of their lower price, I wouldn't get my dress and they probably wouldn't give me my money back....the difference is $100, so not a huge amount - but still $100....to store with a sale associate with bad service.... They're both on MS website as authorized dealers. RosiePosie, I had something similar to this happen to me. I found the limited edition Maggie at a shop 45 minutes away from me (in Illinois, I live in St. Louis, MO) for $700 less! When I asked the more expensive shop to price match she said the other shop was illegally selling limited edition Maggie and that that was below what she paid for the dress herself. I told the cheaper shop this message and she was SO ANGRY. She even emailed the expensive shop owner (who she knew through trade shows, etc) and told her how dare she say things like that about her and her business. Needless to say I bought the dress through the less expensive shop and it's beautiful.
  12. I love how you thought to hang them on a lightswitch for display. You guys are so creative
  13. for some reason I cannot do home workout videos. I had the P90x and the Insanity and Brazilian Butt Lift all from BeachBody, and I can't make it through more than five minutes! But I work out at the gym and can run two miles and then lift for another 40 and I'm fine! What's my deal

Why is it that people leave a full car length or more in between them and the car in front of them at a red light? Why is it that my kids always want the exact opposite of each other when asking what they want to eat for dinner/snack?
  16. Everything looks so great. You're lucky that the people around you are so crafty!
  17. Seems like everyone is sending out STD's a year in advance? I was going to wait until August to send them out. Think that's okay? We had to reschedule our wedding from 2010 to 2011 so I'm doing this for a SECOND time. Not sure what the proper etiquette is?
  18. 2011 Bride here as well! I know this year will fly by!
  19. I absolutely love love love that show. I can't wait! It's already set on the TiVo! Kind of glad Mary Murphy's squeakiness will be gone, and I love Mia so I'm glad she's in. I missed her last season. Although I do think that Mandi Moore really took her place quickly! Looking forward to it.
  20. I have brand new unused yellow OOT bags I would be willing to sell you. I have 30 of them. Here is a pic (obviously minus the words):

It was $580 for the first two hours and $110 each additional hour. For outside DJ vendors, do double check with outside prices. I have heard they need a day pass purchase and I have heard something about "electricity" prices. Not to scare you, just a heads up. As far as the room situation. I had sent a request for room blocks for certain groups (ie. younger friend party group, parent groups-separate areas for divorced parents, and our room-which we wanted away from others). In the end they kind of accommodated. All the rooms that needed separate beds had them, but a few "couple" rooms had two doubles instead of a king. If you feel that it is imperative that elderly guests, or special accommodation guests need the one bed or any special arrangements, my suggestion would be to detail that in their room booking notes, as well as call down to the resort and speak with the front desk/reservations manager. Of course, still send that information to the WC when they ask for it (she requested ours approximately a month before we were heading down). Hope that helps! The rule with outside DJ's is that they just have to pay a fee for the use of the resorts electricity. I'm using DJ Mannia, and they will allow you to rent a generator for $80 and then the resort electricity fee goes away. There is no outside vendor fee per se.
  22. Ladies, you have all been great in your support! Thanks so much! I'm feeling much better lately about the comment. What a pathetic person they must be!
