  1. So, because of all the amazing ideas on this forum, I've taken on a million DIY projects and right in the middle of them, finances have become tight and I'm at a dead halt with them all half done. I'm so sad Anyone else had this happen to them?
  2. awww, love those!!! The bow on the left side totally ties it in..... literally!
  3. Burned That's horrible!!!! I'm so sorry! Has anyone shipped to Mexico successfully? I'm planning on shipping my OOT bag contents and Centerpiece contents down there and this makes me soooooo nervous.
  4. I originally signed up for this company thinking I would use it. I paid the $50 and everything. I wouldn't do it. I ended up going with a local TA because they got me much better rates and were able to pull flight times much earlier than the TA at DW was able to. My TA here was available whenever I called and I always had to leave messages for the DW lady. I'm sure they do a fine job, but I think your local lady could do just as good a job.
  5. Thanks! I went to Neiman Marcus to try them on and this style doesn't even run small. They were actually pretty comfortable given the almost five inch heel My fiancee just keeps saying, "Don't worry baby, we'll figure out a way to get them for you." So sweet! He LOVES buying me expensive accessories! I'm lucky that way

I'm still trying to look around for rates from someone outside the resort to see if they might be a little cheaper. Fingers crossed... HOLY MOLY bride2010!!!! Are they out of their minds Sure that wasn't pesos I've heard a price around $300 give or take, but no more than $350. $1500 is ridiculous!
  7. Okay, so I'm in LOVE with these Christian Louboutin's but obviously, they may not happen because of how much they are. It's all I think about! Is that silly?
  8. I hired a TA about 8 months out. If you hire one too early, they may get hung up on not being able to get air quotes because some airlines don't release their flights yet. But, when big travel groups request bulk flights, they usually open then up.
  9. No mariachi band here. I'm considering the fire dancers tho, but my reception isn't in the sand, so I'd have to be close enough to some sand that I can move my wedding party to the sand for the show. I think they are so hot and so worth the money!!! Barcelo says they have some they use consistently so we wouldn't have to hire an outside vendor.

Riley and I just spoke about this last night actually, and we decided that we were going to stay in the room together the night before the wedding. I think the main reason for that is bc we arent having a "traditional" wedding. Our wedding is going to be somewhat informal with a few traditions involved. I have been married once before and did the whole " spend your last night single alone" and it sucked. I couldnt sleep bc he wasnt there, let alone bc the wedding was the next day. I want to be with RIley the night before our wedding bc I feel that I want to be that close to him. We will separate in the morning and Im sure he will go to his BM's room to get ready while I get ready in our room. If your worried about where the BM's date is going to be, tell them to send her to your room to get ready or to a friends room. It will work itself out. I wouldnt worry about it. Your room will be jam packed with women trying to get ready themselves as well as helping you too. In the end, just do what you want to do. If you want the tradition of not seeing eachother until the wedding ceremony, then see how that can be accomodated by the hotel. If you dont want to be apart until the morning, then dont. In the end its your day and whatever the two of you want, then that is what you should do. I really dont think in this day in age, there is really any ettiquette on what you can and cant do anymore. Unless of course, your religion (if any) dictates so, or family values or morals, of course. DW's allow us to be flexible, if we wanted the fully traditional wedding then we wouldnt be getting married abroad. DW's are all about making your wedding day exactly what you want and how you want them with minimal planning, atleast in comparison to at home weddings. Have fun and go with your heart tells you. I find that always leads me down the right road. Good luck! I can't picture myself losing that night with my FI either! I really think I will want to hold him tight and have it just be the two of us! Then we can wake up first thing and he can go to his BM's room and all the girls can come to me! Another thing I'm worried about is that I'm going to have too many girls and too much chaos in my room all morning and I have a feeling there may be a point where I want to just look out the window, drink my mimosa and be calm. My BM's and friends are pretty crazy and loud and I have a feeling I may be wanting to kick them all out at some point!
  11. I'm giving them out at our welcome dinner. I will have them on the chairs at dinner. It will prevent me from having to go to everyone's room. This is the plan as of now!
  12. I would NOT skimp on your hair or makeup. The way you normally do your makeup will not be suffice for photos. Your makeup always has to be a bit more dramatic in order for it too look like you are wearing any in photos. I'd splurge!
  13. Well, this DIY stuff is getting addictive! I've gotta get moving! My list is up to programs, OOT bags, centerpieces, runners and pre-wedding brochures! Yikes!
