My fiance was such a ham! haha Here are 3 links for you guys to check out. The 1st link is a link to about 20 photos that she edited for her website. They are so cool!! The 2nd link is a slideshow of some of our favorite pics that I created to music (depending on your internet connection, this may pause a few times during the show). The 3rd link is a link to all of our engagement pics. If you want to see any of my photographer's other work, please cisit Lauren Harris Photography. Enjoy!!! Four months later...I only have four rooms booked, and it's all my immediate family. We still have plenty of time so I'm not freaking out, but once October rolls around and we STILL don't have any bookings, I might have a hissy fit. I'm hoping peeps book before then, though. So just wanted to let you know that it's totally normal if people don't go right out and book (GingerLover is an exception to the rule!) so don't panic I sent out an email to everyone that said they MAY go, insisting that they go ahead and book. With my group deadlines, we had to have people place deposits, etc, so we did not lose the rooms. I will be glad to send it to you guys. We got 90% of our rooms booked within 1 month of the email!!

Hi girls, if anyone is looking for a destination wedding travel agent, I would like to recommend Wendy Hicks!! She is AMAZING!!!!! After dealing with at least 4 or 5 travel agents, I finally found my travel agent aka travel angel. She has made everything extremely easy and has bent over backwards for my fiance and me...including answering ALL of our questions with great detail and honesty. She is quick to respond and ALWAYS tries to meet my requests. I honestly do not know how I would get through these past few months without her. She even got all my guests booked and paid in full 2 months BEFORE the wedding!!!! THANKS SO MUCH WENDY!!!!!!!!

Thanks that TTD was so comfortable until I got into the ocean and it weighed like 200lbs after that I swear. The pearls are real and a gift from my Aunt who was in Shanghai earlier this year. My photographer couldn't believe I was gonna do a TTD with them in the ocean I'm going to guess 4? Maybe 5... she's so damn cute, I wish I had more outfits in mine! haha 4 is right...wait, maybe 5?!? Thank you You girls are just so full of compliments today!!! Oh girls!! As a result of all of your good thoughts and prayers and whatever else you were sending my way, my photog has definitely redeemed herself. Passports order, pictures and garmin sent! They will arrive tomorrow! WHEW!!!!!!!!!!! SUCH a relief. This week has been HELL and on top of all that photo drama....

Now with that said it's not like I have to block rooms but to get the current promotion they are running you do. Any Advice? Side Note: Current promotion if you block or outright book 20 or more rooms you get 20% off room rates and 20% off private events I think that's pretty standard. My resort charged the same thing to block the rooms. But as people put money down, it will be credited towards your stay.

So, yes, I think I want to go back to Mexico for my honeymoon and really enjoy it. Adventura spa palace is booked solid in Aug & Sept (crazy). But there are some good deals on Expedia so I might just try to do a week somewhere - and not look at Trip Advisor. How does anyone book a trip anymore with Trip Advisor making you second guess every decision Here is a suggestion: come to Le Blanc the week of August 7th and come to my wedding!!! haha It's a Palace resort like Aventura, but a step up. But yes, trip advisor can be disheartening sometimes...however, it is a good spot just to get names of different places. We were thinking about switching resorts, but decided not to. There are some really cool ones: Banyon Tree Mayakoba, Grand Velas, Rosewood Mayakoba, The Tides, Fairmont Mayakoba, Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita (my future bro-in-law just got back from here and said it was ahhhhhhmazing!!!), etc etc etc!! Also, Playa Del Carmen has some really cool boutique hotels...very unique!

That's a tough call...her pics are fabulous, but her lack of communication is killing me. But I am a MAJOR communicator...always text, call, write you back, etc. So, if you are low key and don't need all that, she is probably fine. And in her defense, she has been going through a divorce...but still, that is not an excuse.

Hey girls! I just wanted to check in with everyone and see how you are doing!! Also, a little piece of encouragement hopefully. Once you guys get about 90 days from your wedding, you will start working with Diana. She is FABULOUS!!!!!!!! She has so many great ideas and will literally bend over backwards to help you. She always writes back immediately (within 24 hours at the longest) and has so many great ideas. Their DJ service and planning company are great too. Everyone is very accommodating! So, if you guys are frustrated or getting impatient, they really will make the process super easy for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!! xoxo

They want to know if the beach is d"dissapointing" I just need a little encouragement today that I picked the right place. Thanks ladies Hey girl! I have never been to the resort, but from the brides that have gotten married there, all I have heard is FABULOUS reviews!!!!!!! I would take trip advisor with a grain of salt. A lot of the bad reviews came from when the resort had just opened. And if you look at some of those reviews, they are plain ridiculous...or they had a bad weather experience and blamed everything else. Even the resorts that are listed as the top resort in different areas, have bad reviews. I think some people just can't be pleased. I would listen carefully to the girls that have recently gotten married there. I think all of them had a pretty close to a perfect experience. I know exactly how you feel though...I think it is all part of the destination wedding experience. I have had my resort booked since October and still have 2nd thoughts at times about even getting married in Mexico. I think it's natural! keep your head up and know you have chosen a super fabulous resort!!! We're here for ya!

We snuck down to AS on Monday but I could not hear any Texas accents - was looking for you :-) I will tell you all more later, but my guests who were going to get bumped to AS Fri-Sun b/c Beach was booked were able to stay at Azul Beach all weekend after all - I was so excited! I found out during my wedding why.... There was a onlooker in a bikini sobbing during my entire ceremony and family pictures, and bridal prty pictures on the beach with a friend consoling her. Seriously for an entire hour. Turns out she was supposed to get married that weekend - called off the wedding - and her family still went as vacation. And she sobbed in a bikini and towel 50 feet from my ceremony and pictures!!! Even with the crazy crying girl, I was still so thankful no one has to move to another hotel. Will start working on some photos to post soon. I have to do my planning thread and review as well. The flowers though - were AMAZING. Prettiest wedding flowers I have ever seen. wow wow wow YAY!!!!!!! Welcome back and congrats!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see the fabulous pics of you and your HUBBY and your skinny lil butt!! I am so happy you guys had so much fun!!

Onto the photog issue: Really, what's up with blocking you on fb Who does that to a client? I agree with all the advice you've already gotten. You need to be very firm, possibly threatening, and get something back out of her. The only possible reason I could think of for her behavior is that May is probably one of the busiest, if not the busiest, wedding month where you are. At least it is here in Texas. I've been having a similar, though not nearly as difficult, situation with the photog who did my boudoir, and it's because she's overwhelmed and overbooked herself. Do you live near her? Does she have a studio where you can pay her a visit? Thank you SOOOOO much!!! We really did have a blast taking the pictures!!! Isn't that shady?!?!?!?!? And yes, I understand being busy, but being in sales, I ALWAYS respond to my clients...You can't me you don't have 5 minutes to respond to emails?!?!? No, unfortunately she does not live near me. UPDATE! However, I sent her a stern, but nice email...come to find out she has been going through a divorce. I am glad she got back to me and is supposedly shipping my Garmin today and getting her passport on Wednesday...YIKES!!!! 8 weeks out! But thanks sooo much for all your advice...I will keep you posted. I just hope she keeps her word, because I really do love her work!! And she seemed so professional in NOLA for my e pics.... Quote: Originally Posted by chong Wow... I love your e-pictures. it's unique!!! You guys look so cute together And about your photog... I hope everything works out. Maybe she is truly busy. I hope it is worth it too...oh the joys of a destination wedding! I think you summed it up perfectly...I hope it is all worth this! haha But I def think it will be!!! I love Vegas as wish I could do something there too. Maybe for our anniversary since everyone is crying broke already. If you don't mind me asking, how much is the suite costing you? Does anyone know if you can make reservations at Le Chique before you check in? I know it's a long shot but I really want the experience. Lindz, that sucks. I don't care how busy you are, if you are a business person that can't get to emails, you shouldn't give your email address out or hire a temp to answer them for you. Better yet, if she is just busy there are those automated messages that can go out saying such (I get them from my WC all the time, lol). I don't feel that's an excuse. And blocking you on fb....just shady. Let us know how that email goes (if she responds), but I would definitely have to come to some type of agreement with her before booking her plane ticket, etc to Mexico. There is still time to find someone else if she doesn't get her act together and I would stress that to her. She should definitely take into consideration the fact that brides are overly emotional and get back to you for that reason alone. Also, I would deduct the price of the Garmin from her final payment if you haven't already paid in full. My conscience wouldn't allow me to keep my mom's Garmin nevertheless a client's!! EXACTLY!! Like, "hi I am traveling for business and will respond on June 1st." or whatever! I totally agree...and yes, def will deduct the Garmin from final payment!! (I'm thinking the price went up since it was in the movie) I am now in a MGM Skyloft, 3,000 square feet, pool table, flat screens, butler, all that stuff. Also you have to have a private guest list for anyone coming to your suite because it's escort only to those suites which is pretty cool. I paid $2,000 for the suite and I'm having everyone bring a bottle of alcohol and a mixer, get some hor'derves and done! Right now I am starting to feel anxious about our decision. We have less than 12 months and I don't know if I made the right choice based upon my readings thus far. Also is there a time of year that the beach is really blue versus brown? I'm starting to feel really naive! :-/ Trust me, you will have 1 million more times where you question your location, resort, etc etc etc. It's natural!
