I paid about $15 for my dress to be cleaned. I sent them the dress on Fri and told them the wedding was on Sat at 3. My bridesmaids send their dresses on Friday and got them back on Friday so I called to check on mine and they told me it would be ready on Saturday at 3! I guess they were under the impression that I didn't need the dress until 3pm so if anyone does use them make sure they're clear on when you need it. After I spoke with them they did end up having it ready by 11am and it looked fine to me. The wedding was scheduled for 3pm and I was late of course so it started around 3:40. The temps had to be in the mid 90s and it was super sunny! It didn't cool down during the reception either (but then again maybe that could be attributed to the lemon drop shots!!! LOL) I can share the list. It's going to have to be later in the week though. The ceremony was at 3pm. Our photographer was actually the best man's brother. He and DH grew up together. He actually retired from photography but came out of retirement for our wedding for which I'm sooooo grateful! And thanks for all the compliments and well wishes from everyone!!!!

These are the only pics I have so far. In the picture of the guests you can see the beach bbq in the background. (You also can see that we had one very drunk guest who couldn't hold his head up at all during the entire ceremony!! LOL) It was VERY VERY VERY hot so please make sure you check out the weather. I don't think anybody has a date coming up too soon so maybe it will cool off by everyone else's wedding. Here are the pics:

Hello ladies. I'm back!!!!! I had a wonderful time and wish I could've/would've stayed longer. We tried to extend our stay. The resort was very accomodating but we would've ended up paying $600 each to change our flight which was completely out of the question. I want to do a review but when I looked under that thread I saw that it was closed so I don't know where to do it. I was reading back a couple of pages and saw someone asked about the DJ. We didn't use the DJ. I used my iPod which worked out perfectly. I made a playlist and just played it straight through. The WC worked the iPod and we had one of our guests be the MC. It worked out fine and saved a lot of money because all we had to pay was $250 for the amplifiers and speakers. If anyone has any questions about the resort or WCs ask away. I'll be happy to answer. And if anyone knows where reviews go please let me know.

Hello Ladies!!! Just doing a quick check in while my computer is up. My wedding was WONDERFUL!!!!! And the resort, the staff and the wedding coordinators are perfect. I told DH yesterday that I do not regret one dime that we spent on this wedding! OMG I just can't even really describe how wonderful everything is. I don't have any pics from the wedding as a matter of fact I haven't even seen a picture hopefully somebody will send me some when I get back. Just wanted to check in and let you all know that you should not have ANY regrets regarding the Azul Sensatori! Happy planning to all the brides to be!!!!!

Good morning ladies! I see if you miss a week you miss a lot on here!!!! What's up with the new look and why are our tickers gone???? Well if we still had the ticker mine would say "3 DAYS!!!!" I can't believe it's here already. We're on the way to the courthouse now to do the legal ceremony and then we leave for Mexico early tomorrow morning. I've been packing and getting everything together which is why I haven't been on here in a week but we're pretty much ready to go. I forgot to take pictures of everything for my planning thread before I packed it so I guess I'll take pictures in Mexico when we unpack. Adios Ladies!!!! I'll definitely post some info when I get back. BTW: Amybermuda I loved, loved, loved your pics!!!!!

She did say the drinks were watered down though but that shouldn't be a problem at an all-inclusive. You can just ask for an extra shot on the side or something.

I know you can get them from Saks, Dillard's, etc. I don't think it should cost that much. I would say it may run you around $100 max for a good pair unless he knows something I don't. There are knock-offs that may not work as well but if you stick to the Spanx brand you should be fine. There's also a brand named Flexees (Macy's) that are pretty good too. Looks like you need to go undergarment shopping and see what's the most comfortable for you. Bring them with you when you have your dress fitting and see which works best. Check out ShopStyle for Fashion and Designers - Shoes, Jewelry, Dresses & Clothes and type in Spanx and all the different styles and where to buy them will come up. HTH! $200 is out of the question! I originally went to a lingerie boutique and bought a "slimmer". It cost $50 but I could see the stitching and seams through my dress so this weekend I went to Macy's and bought a Flexees slimmer for $28. It looks fine. If you're just getting something to just make you look neat under your dress you don't have to spend a lot of money.

I'm pretty type A so I did most everything myself and just ran things by him. I'd narrow it down to a few options and see what he thought but ultimately decide myself. He didn't agree with me on quite a few things... until we got there. His reaction to the wedding, ceremony, reception and everything was ALMOST as if he were a guest to it. I remember him telling me, "Wow, Amy, this is unbelieveable! You did a great job, I love it all, I didn't even realize how amazing it was." Mmmmhmmm. My husband, a guest at our own wedding. That's our relationship though, I'm more controlling and in charge so he kinda has to be like that. Delegate to friends you trust, they were the best! Same boat! I've been ordering stuff for the OOT bags and decorations and favors and whenever a box comes he gets excited and says "oooh what's that?" Then he says that's nice what are you going to do with it. I say WE'RE putting these in the OOT bags. He just says oh ok and when another box comes the cycle starts again. Whenever I did ask his opinion he would say "what do you think" and that starts an argument because I say if I wanted to decide I wouldn't have asked you. So I've learned to just run things by him and say this is what we're doing and he says ok. He's very visual so nothing is really real to him until he sees it.

Same here......started very young and since my job is covered under law enforcement retirement too I only have 15 years until I can retire and I'll only be 48!!! I guess I'll start my second career then. Sad that I'm already thinking about retirement but hey you gotta have something to look forward too!

It's interesting at times but it's draining as well. I'm going to apply to the University of Maryland, Catholic University and University of Baltimore. U of M is my first choice especially because I can get in-state tuition prices.

So many weird connections from brides on this thread. Amy F seriously lives 5 mins from me, Amy B is also from MD and Wendy is from Austin (where my fiance is from). Plus Meredith is from my fav city in the US, New Orleans. (Well besides NYC!) I'm from Maryland too! Not Baltimore though, I'm from Prince George's County.

April feels pretty far off but I don't want to be behind the curve either. Thanks! You should reserve your reception location as soon as possible so that it doesn't get booked by someone else. As far as food and flowers are concerned you can wait a little longer because that stuff can be changed. I changed my menus and flowers the day before my final payment was due.
