  1. Check out this website for colors: www.moonglowcandle.net/play_sand.htm they have over 70 colors!
  2. so sad for you, I think the Sand Unity Ceremony is so pretty, just make sure you sure more natural colors if they think it looks artlike (The bright colors can be overwhelming). I made a jar with sand art for my living room to incorporate the colors of the room to test out if I liked it for our ceremony 1. to get an ideal of what it would look like with 1-5 colors and 2. to not spend a lot of money on something that I wouldn't like, it turned out really pretty. I would suggest going to Michael's or a craft store and purchasing a small sample of sand and a pretty vase and do a mock ceremony... note: to me doing 3 colors looked the best, just make sure that you do one color, then the next, then the next, it can look a bit weird if you do them too fast... maybe if they see how nice it can look they will be for it!!
  3. Hello to all you St. Lucia Brides!!! Wow what an amazing place!!! Though I am not a St. Lucia bride (sob), I wanted to stop by all tell you all you made a great choice!!! I have been 3 times in the past 2 years and each time fall more and more in Love!!! Sandals the first time and Discovery Marigot Bay/Ladera, the 2nd, and Discovery Marigot the third! I have to say that Sandals is great lots of action, things to do right in the area! But if you are looking for something a bit more secluded Discovery all the WAY!! It is so beautiful and wow, they did an amazing job with the rooms and grounds!! There is a small beach close, but very small and not as nice as Rodney Bay. It does have 2 large pools and a really good restaurant. Our price included breakfast and the young lady that sat us each day, asked us our names and remembered them all week!!! (It really does add to an experience). There is another Fabulous restaurant across the bay called Rainforest Hideway, and I have to say it is worth every penny!! We went back 3 nights of 7 in our last trip! The menu will change daily based on what is fresh and what the chef decides. I wasnt however impressed with Ladera's accommodations and after 1 night there (The missing wall freaked me out a bit more than I thought it would) we called our travel agent and had her move us back to Discovery, much more modern and clean and surprisingly more private! (even though Ladera can only accommodate I believe 20 couples at one time, the walls are paper thin and we could here our neighbors singing in the shower!) Now the view at Ladera, ok that is fabulous, it is like you can reach out and touch the Pitons and the restaurant is fab as well!!! Anyone wanting more info let me know, I might be able to post some pictures for all interested in! For those with an adventure side I highly recommend climbing Gros Piton, a little hard on the lungs going up and hard on the knees going down, but the views and Pictures speak for themselves!!! It does take a few hours though. Happy Planning to all you LUCKY St. Lucia Brides!! Roxy
  4. Hello there. Not at all! A girlfriend of mine is doing Honorary Bridesmaids, because they are doing a limited wedding party (4 on her side and 4 on his, mostly all family), she still wanted to honor all of her close friends as apart of the bridal party. They are wearing her wedding colors (Shades of Greens I believe) for the wedding and will be apart of the pictures etc. Neither live in her town so she did not want to have to ask them to add the expense of dresses, shoes, hair, etc after having to pay for flights, rooms, etc. She is even listing them in her program as her HB's. Hope this helps! Roxy

  7. Hey There! Me and my FI love our Cobian Flip Flops! They are so comfy and the price is better than reefs!! I am wearing the Eden from the womens collection in white for our beach reception. They are seriously my favorite of all time that I went back to the store and bought a pair of black and brown ones, just a bit of a heel without looking like a chunky wedge. (even better is that I didnt feel like I had to "break them in" to make them feel comfy!! The FI loves the floaters and the Suaves. Most of the flops are around $20-25 a pair , so half the price of most reefs! Check out this website!! Cobian Sandal Gallery Hope this helps! Roxy
  8. Thanks Everyone for the GREAT comments! It is starting to put my mind at ease a bit and have looked on the Blue Nile website and I have so say I am pretty impressed! Thanks Again for the recommendation!!

  10. Hi Ladies, Has anyone bought their wedding bands from online websites? I cant get this site out of my head Diamond Jewelry Store - Designer Diamond Jewelry - Diamond Engagement Ring but I am so scared to buy something without seeing it. Thanks Roxy
  11. Oh I am doing different shades of blues at my wedding, the girls all found dresses at David's Bridal that they loved, so I just gave them a color (based on where they were standing at the alter) and told them they could pick any dress they wanted! They were sooo happy that they weren't going to look like twinkies, and all picked dresses that fit their personalities, style, and body type, which was great. It was so hard to pick one dress when they all have different shapes. They love their shades of blue!!! They emailed me the styles and I went to Davidsbridal.com and entered them into the Dress your wedding party application to get a general ideal of how they were going to look.
  12. Hey Everybody!! Anyone looking into having a wedding on the Gulf Coast should look into Pensacola Beach, FL!!! I am from this area and it has so many hotels and beach condos/houses in many price ranges and 1 new boutique hotel being built as I type (Hotel Indigo). One great quality is that it is not over-developed with 100's of High rises, and actual has building restrictions on the Island which keeps it small island charm in place . With everything being so close it is easy for OOT guest to find something without breaking the budget to attend your wedding! The main beach area is full of restaurants and bars with in comfortable walking distances, as well as a local trolley service that can be rented to transport your wedding party anywhere on the beach privately or you can take it for free on the weekends during peak season. The Hilton Pensacola Beach has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to hold weddings and receptions. If you want something more private, you could always rent a beach house on the beach to hold your ceremony, then have you party at the house after! If you are looking to be close to hotels, restaurants, bars, as well as the sugar white beaches of the Gulf Coast, then look into P'Cola Beach. Most places will be very reasonable in the off season as far as prices. One month that is extremely price anywhere on the beach is July, there is lot going on on the beach (4th, Blue Angel Airshow , Bushwacker fest, so it will be pricey! The local airport is PNS and there are plenty of hotels in town for even less!!! Anyone needed info just PM me!!! Roxy PS I am getting Married in Key West, though I love Pensacola, Destin, and the Gulf Coast, we want a smaller and more intimate wedding with our closest friends and Family , so a destination wedding only seems fit!
  13. Well although we dont have a firm date set, we have a location!!! Key West, Florida!!! Though our date isnt set any help with vendors, photography, cakes, etc would be AMAZING! Planning a destination wedding is fun, but I know that is is going to take lots of work!!! Good thing I have been working out , Congrats to everyone on there engagements!!!!!
