I didn't even think I cared about a video, but they did such an amazing job and I cherish it. One more important thing I must mention. Ana was the best! She works very hard and she went above and beyond to make it the most special day. More on that later. But remember, with a destination wedding, you may not be able to finalize a lot of details until you get there. But once you are there, she will sit with you and take care of it. Ana was terrific! Enjoy the slideshow... Ari & Carina Carina...your pictures are beautiful!! It was nice meeting you!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been MIA since my wedding. I got back March 6th and I have been super busy getting unpacked, going back to work, getting my house cleaned, etc. Back to the real world Sooo, my wedding was completely perfect. I LOVED the resort and so did all of our guests!! If you guys have any questions for me, let me know and I will be happy to answer. I am in the process of writing a review...I am almost done...just trying to find some pictures to include I think that everyone will be extremely happy with their decision. This is a fantastic resort and I can't imagine my wedding being any better than it was

We had DJ Doremixx for our wedding on February 26, 2010. We loved Ivan as did all of our guests! One of my friends said he was the best DJ of any wedding she has ever been to and I agree!! Ivan is very professional and so nice. His email communication is extremely prompt and very informative. He came to the resort a few days before our wedding to meet with us and go over all of the details of our ceremony. We gave him our song selections for our first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance. He asked if we had any requests for songs. We told him what kind of music we liked and allowed him to use his judgment in song selection. He played really nice relaxing music during dinner. He played songs that the older people at the wedding could dance to and he played great hip hop and dance music for people our age. We had 26 people at the wedding and there was constant dancing! He brought balloons and masks, which our guest had a lot of fun with! The cold fireworks during our first dance were awesome and made for a great memory! Ivan truly made our wedding reception a party and it wouldn't have been the same without him! Thank you, thank you , thank you Ivan!!!

It makes me so much more mad to see a lot of you just as frustrated. I am still waiting on an email from Friday to be answered, that I have now resent her twice and nothing. have you guys told her the packages you want? flowers you want? decor you want? etc? i cant even get her to open my emails to see those things! Quote: Originally Posted by Ashlynn039 No I haven't told her any of that... but I bet Laura would have a better answer about when she will/or did tell them all of those details This whole process has been frustrating for me as well! I understand that Ana must be incredibly busy but...Anyway, I was never asked which package I wanted, what flowers I wanted, etc. I just sent her emails with that information and she would send one back like "Okay, so you want the Ultimate Package". As far as flowers, I asked for the pictures of flowers that were included in the package and she sent me the information and then I got back to her with which one I wanted. I think that if you want something different, you can email her a picture, and then she will give you a price. For example, for my bridesmaids, I just want orange roses so I sent her an email telling her that and she sent one back saying that they are $60 each. That was just this week too! I still haven't told her anything about boutinierres (sp?) or little details like that. I just gave her all of my menu choices about a month or so ago. As far as decor, I never really got anything besides what is on the price list on the website. I didn't really ask a lot of questions about this though because we are bringing our own centerpieces and I am bringing chair sashes. I am not planning on going all out for decorations because I am already spending wayyyyy too much money So, I think the bottom line is that you just have to email her what you want as soon as you figure it out. And you probably won't be getting prompts from Ana to make decisions. We will get to Mexico on Monday and then we are meeting with Ana on Tuesday. I think that we will probably go over all of the details and finalize everything. So, hopefully it all works out. I just keep thinking...we will be at a beautiful resort with all of our friends and family and the beach and ocean as our backdrop...it will be beautiful

I am a little worried since everything she has ever sent me has been so vague and over e-mail so I have not seen one document such as a contract to show what is going on for my wedding. Well.. I should say she sent me a contract that stated my date and time but pretty much everything else said TBD and when I asked her about a contract she said it was all good since it is all verbal through our e-mails. Has anyone else ran into this? Maybe I am being worrried for no reason but I wanted a little reasurance that they have us down for everything we have chose so far. I think you will be okay! I have not had anything in writing either and my wedding is a week away! I am keeping all of my emails and probably printing the ones out that have specific information in them to take with me just in case. I am keeping an optimistic attitude about all of this. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks how it all worked out

Nicole Nicole...I just deleted the buffet menu from my computer by accident the other day I know, though, that it was posted it a few pages back. I had originally thought that the price for the buffet was the same as sit-down dinner but a few posts ago, someone said it was $48 pp. Hope that helps!

I ask because I was leaning towards the idea of a buffet and just wasn't sure if you were allowed to have one if you had under 30 (or whatever the number was) people You leave in just about a week - how exciting! Can't wait to hear your review of the place & your big day when you come back! I chose the buffet because I was nervous about having only 1 dinner choice. Plus, a lot of the options for the sit-down dinner were seafood and I don't like seafood. So, I am having 26 people come...there will be 28 including us and Ana said we were allowed to have the buffet.

Has anyone had any luck being able to change the buffet menu We want to go with the international but want to change a few things. Ana said she would get bk to us. The crab won tons at dreams are AMAZING! What is the international buffet? I don't think I ever got a menu for that? I changed the desserts on the buffet with no problem. We are going with the Caribbean buffet. I didn't realize that the buffet was a different price than the sit-down dinner....that's a good surprise!

SO confused! Hi and welcome! When I received information about a photographer from Ana, she told me that the resort photographers were Juan Navarro and Sweet Caribbean. Although, I think someone a few posts back mentioned that the resort photographer is Adventure Photographers, who are the on-site photographers at the resort. There is a link on this page of the thread to pictures that they took http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo.../index129.html I am using Claudia Rodriguez as my photographer. I asked Ana before I booked her and she said that I could. She never said anything to me about an additional outside vendor fee though (I did ask and she didn't really answer my question). Hope this helps!

We got all of our travel documents, as did our guests, and we all have vouchers for "complimentary" golf at Playa Mujeres golf course. I'll have to let you guys know how that goes when I get back.

So, there was talk about hair and make-up a few posts back...One of my friends who is coming to the wedding is a hairstylist so she is going to do my hair and make-up for the wedding. I was going to make an appointment for my bridesmaids (I have 2) at the spa to have their hair and make-up done. What time do you think I should make it for? My wedding is at 5pm.
