If anything, i would probably make my own centerpieces and bring them rather than pay extra there. The cake...I am not sure about that either...I think I would have to see pictures. Has anyone gotten any pictures or information about this stuff from Ana? I haven't asked her about this yet.

I am having the exact same problem! I thought I was having a computer glitch too! It just started happening a few days ago. -

Just wondering how you are all working these details out. I am not doing a group booking. I sent out my invitation and just told everyone to book through our TA. Our TA held a group of seats (I think 20) on a flight - I had to put out the money (I think $50 per seat) but if they don't get booked, I will still be reimbursed and after everyone books, my TA will refund the money I put out. We also reserved a block of rooms at the resort (did not have to put any money out for that). So, hopefully everyone goes through the TA to book!

Happy Birthday to both of you!! -
I also did not get a list of photographers from Ana. I just emailed her with the name of the photographer and she approved it. I looked into all of those photographers that SDBeachGirl just listed except Cecilia Dumas. I have emails with pricing and packages from all of them if anyone is interested. They were all really nice and responded to my emails quickly and I read good reviews also!

Hi! I am also looking for a good docking station. I didn't even think of the microphone part. I was looking online though and found this one...it is kind of big though.

POLL: What are your colors?
Laura22610 replied to SandDD's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
We are doing ice blue and orange. -
I booked Claudia Rodriguez for our wedding. That was a huge thing and I am so glad I don't have to think about who to get as a photographer anymore - that was a little stressful for me I looked into Elizabeth Medina - her photographs are beautiful but she wasn't available for our date. That is a good point about saving emails, especially since the resort is new!

That's true, I would have one extra bag and my FI would have one extra. Then I could have my family bring some I'm sure I will bring way too much stuff! I think that I will buy everything here because I know once I get to Mexico, I'm not going to feel like shopping around! -

I should have taken a pic of the demo, everyone that came to my house and seen it, loved it. Good luck in your planning... Those sound great! Great idea! I haven't even thought of this. I am so worried about how much stuff I am going to end up trying to bring to Mexico! Where am I going to put it all? I am an over-packer as it is Well, I got my dress back in August. I had fun trying on dresses but it was a little stressful too. I went to one shop because I saw a dress in a magazine that I loved and they had it there. When I tried it on, I loved it but it was taffeta and I was so hot in it - it was sticking to me! I thought that probably wouldn't be a great idea for Mexico So, I tried on about 7 or 8 more dresses and found one that I loved just as much! I can't wait to get it! -
One more thing...I talked to Ana about bringing a photographer instead of using the one with the package (which was no problem) and asked her if something could be substituted in the package. She said there are no substitutions but we could probably get more video. I am not sure how much more, but at least that would be something!

Wow! Everyone seems to be doing a lot with their planning! I have done a lot this past week but I still feel behind...we got engaged in July and then picked a place in September and now we are getting married in February! Not a lot of time to plan But, I did get my invitations out - just waiting to hear from our TA who has booked so far. We had the same thing Lilly...our list started out at 50 people and quickly grew to over 80! I got my dress and I really love it! I also just booked a photographer. So, that's about it but I guess there's not that much more that can be done now. I am also waiting to hear about the private reception sites and see pictures! I also want to see pictures of a wedding on the beach - I am not a fan of the gazebo All of the pictures of the resort so far though look fantastic!

I am very excited...February can't come soon enough! I am almost done the invitations. They took a little longer than expected to finish but I am going to send them out on Friday. I will post pics when they are done! I have looked into the package photographer and I have heard really mixed reviews about one of them and I can't even find any information on the other. I think I pretty much decided that I will find somebody on my own. I just emailed the wedding coordinator and she said I can bring in an outside vendor. Now I am just waiting to hear if I have to pay. I think good pictures are worth it though -
I also really appreciate all of the information from everyone here! This is great...I think that I would be lost if I had to do this without all the help from this forum! Ashley - I think that if your photographer is staying there as a guest, then it is okay. I actually sent Ana an email today regarding outside photographers, so I will let you know what I find out. Question about the menus....If you get the gold or silver menu, is there only one entree option? Is a buffet an option?
