This is a great discussion! I have never gotten the flu shot because I am a healthy person and I don't like putting unnecessary medications, vaccines in my body. This year, however, after much debate with myself I got the H1N1 vaccine. I am an RN and I work in a neonatal intensive care unit. I also have an 8 year old nephew who I spend a lot of time with. My sister (who is also an RN) works with somebody whose perfectly healthy 5 year old is in the hospital on a ventilator because of H1N1. So, she asked me (knowing that I don't believe in flu shots) if I would get the H1N1 vaccine because my nephew is on a waiting list for getting the vaccine and she is worried that he will be exposed. We were also getting a lot of pressure at work to get it, since we work with such small immunocompromised patients. I only got the vaccine because of my nephew and my work, not because I think that I needed to be protected against the swine flu. I am not getting the regular flu vaccine. Hopefully, I made a good decision

Thanks, Hi! No, I didn't have to put a deposit down but I think that the rooms are only held until a certain date (not sure when that is though). We held a block of 20 rooms. When people book, they only have to put down $150 to reserve their room. We also held seats on a flight, which we did have to put money down for, however, if the seats do not get taken before December 1, we can sell them back to the airline and I get all of my money back and do not lose any money (we had to put $50 per seat down).

I agree about the travel agent. My guests are booking right now and most of them are booking through my TA. He reserved a block of rooms at the resort so everyone who books through him will be in the same area at the hotel. Everyone who has booked said it was nice going through him since he already knew all of the details of our plans. It also takes some stress away from me because he is keeping track of who booked and when they are traveling! I think I would be lost doing this all myself

Thanks ebernard and sdbeachgirl for all of the pics and info!! So many decisions to make! I am still waiting for Ana to send me my contract. She told me a week or so ago that she was working on it. Hopefully, she sends it soon...it would make me feel so much better to have it

That does help! Thanks! Originally I was told that kids stay free and just pay taxes but then my sister booked her trip and had to pay $275 for my nephew who is 8. I guess it is because of when we are having our wedding - in February. The Kids Club is free.

Just to clarify because I am not sure if my first post was totally clear My MOH and my BM are hosting and planning my shower. I did not want to have one at first but my sister talked me into letting her do it There are going to be people invited who aren't invited to Mexico but I am sending out STD's to let them know that they are invited to my AHR.
