If you want the Tamarindo area check out Cala Luna, I have never been but heard great things about it. I have looked into it for our honeymoon, but I am going to go down the cost to Dominical or OSA. If you want true surfing, soxgirl is right. I used to go to Tamarindo growing up and loved it but it is a lot more crowed now. But I believe Cala Luna is a little outside of the area. I would fly into Liberia directly (no need to go through SJO) and drive or be drived to Tamarindo area.

Hi, I am getting married March 13, 2010 at Playa Esterillos. We are taking over MonteRey Del Mar. Small hotel but very cute and Costa Rican not touristy which is what I wanted. But I am all over the place for my honeymoon. There are so many places now. I actually grew up in Costa Rica so I know all the locations, but there are so many new hotels. I don't want Manuel Antonio or Arenal - both fabulous places for anyone else by the way, totally recommend both places, but that is where I always take my fiancé so I want something different. Something luxurious and secluded and a place where we can be pampered but have adventure. Guanacaste is to far and hot for that time of year. We were thinking the OSA also, but that is far and very very secluded. Our top choice is Rancho Pacifico right now. Anyone stayed there for their honeymoon or have any suggestions?

To add, does anyone know of any DJ's in the Jaco area. I am getting married at Playa Esterillos and need a Dj and Calypso band. I think I have the calypso though. We are using them for cocktail hour and then DJ for reception. I want them to be able to play both American and Latin Music. I really want a live band, but haven't found anything that I like for the right price.

Hi, I am getting married in Costa Rica on March 13, 2010. I am getting married on Playa Esterillos at a hotel that is small and we are taking over for 4 days. I am actually from Costa Rica, so it is half destination. My parent (Are originally American) are down there and I have friends down there, but my fiance is from CT, so for them it is destination, for me it is home I am looking for cute RSVP wording for a beach wedding.
