speaking from experience and just getting married 3 weeks ago, I can tell you there was someone at my wedding that should not have been there... i should have put her on a plane and sent her home two days before I got married. My stephdaugther created some very huge issues ( i won't go into detail) and I really didn't want her at my wedding and I struggled with it for two days (this issue has been going on for 2 years since FI and I got engaged). However while we were away she did somthing that I still can not forgive her for. I knew I was allowing her to stay and be apart of my wedding because I love her father and it was him and only him I kept my mouth shut and put on a smile. Honestly our wedding day came and I really didn't give a crap that she was there and when she pulled her BS again or attempted I should say she got the death stare from so many people she nearly crawled under a rock. You'll be surprized how you can tune her out and after all you'll be the one people respects for loving your husband enough to put your best foot foward when it belong up someones ass. opps!! Good luck hun.... sending power hug

hi ladies, I have been back just over a week and I can tell you that I have spoken to pretty much all of our guests since I return or my husband has, hands down they all mention how great the OOT bags were. I know it is alot of work and extra weight if you travel with them, but so worth it... Whatever items you choose your guests will feel your love and gratitude for being part of your wedding day. Good Luck ladies

Brooke and Rayanna deep breathes!!!!! You girls are so funny... Rayanna having to pack only 8.. lucky girl.. Brooke packed for 50!!! holy crap girl.... I had 25 and that was brutal.. I really hope you have done the prepack to make sure you don't need another suitcase?? I wish I was close enough to give you girls a hug... I found myself in panic mode and needing hugs... Just tell your sweetie to hug you constantly. Oh ladies.. plese sleep and rest... or you'll end up passing out like I did. It really raises eyebrows when you faint at the airport. I was asked a million questions by security and man did they watch me until I boarded the plane. I didn't dare go to the bathroom because i thought the security would be crawling under the bathroom stall. SO For the love of god sleep.... Sending hugs my lovely ladies -
Ok It's friday and what better than a few giggles! I have a pretty good sense of humor so I thought I'd share my funniest wedding pictures. It's been over two weeks and my ribs still hurt from laughing so hard. So here we are on the beautiful beach at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum, posed for a few pictures. Were standing there and this man wonders into our pictures So we wait for him to move on by as he chats on his cellphone... We're thinking he does see us. Ok he has to see us he keeps walking back and fort over this twenty foot stretch, all the while chatting on his phone and fixing himself. Ok let's get serious here now, I want some good pictures so we move down the beach to get away from him. Guess what? He is strolling right into our pictures again.. I am pointing at him and he is walking towards me. Here he comes again lol Oh and best ever wedding picture:::: A pose with the bride and groom..... It was a funny day... Have a great weekend ladies

I am working on my wedding review so I can post it later today or tomorrow... Hands down, the best part of our wedding day was when I was walking down the aisle and I looked at my DH and he had tears of joy running down his face. Woo hoo -- I'm a Mrs.! wonderful news Trishy1... You did it!!!! So happy to hear it was a dream come true for you and your hubby... Congrats.... -

Damn that is one ugly situation... From a bride that just got married, I can tell you for your peace of mind that if one or both don't make it to your wedding, your day will still be the most amazing day of your life. I hear in the tone of your post that isn't the thing that is breaking your heart. It is seeing a friend that you love being abused and hurt. God bless you you are a kind soul.. not once did you do the poor me!!! She is very lucky to have you as a friend and that is the best thing she could ever hope for right now. I agree with everyone else leave it for now and just continue to be the friend you are.. Also don't be worried about showing her how happy and in love you are right now... I truely gives people that are hurting and in bad relationship hope and a dream of something better. Congrats on your up and coming wedding -

That would be the entire blender full of margherita I'm sure! That being said, you're correct that there are smaller versions you could buy instead that might be a little more manageable and there are LOTS of brides that have bought them for their guests so I don't think you'd be out of place at all. And if you think about it, so many people would use them for day to day drinks here at home, so it might just seem that they are ugly in a beach setting?? We just bought a regular 16oz travel mug for our guests and figured they would be good enough even if we do have to keep filling them more often We did personalize them but since I haven't actually received the order I can't even post a picture for you. As part of the imprint we had M*E*X*I*C*O in larger bold text and then our names and wedding date in smaller non-bold text. I really wanted to have something with our names and wedding date on it but we wanted people to (hopefully) use them again afterwards so hopefully we made the right compromise in text size etc... I agree... you can always refill the mug, I wouldn't encourage guest to over drink with the hot sun and I just doesn't look right when your attemtping to fill up on six drinks at a time. Just my two cents... I am not sure if anyone read what happened to my brother He over drank and passed out wee hours of the morning and was taken back to his room by God only knows who and robbed. Lucky !!! he lost only his money and ID all his important stuff was in my safe. My hubby felt really bad because when he left him that night he thought my brother was on his way to bed, instead the booze got the better of his common sense and he went back out to drink more and made himslef a target... It really hurts when someone you love becomes a victim... No matter how much of the situation they created. sue

wedding shower...thoughts..
SusieQ replied to ali0284's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Your aunt is a sponge- she can suck everything up and somehow make it about her...Sorry but how does you planning the wedding of your dreams exclude you from having a shower. Now if you were marrying a man on death roll for murder I could see auntie saying, I don't think is a wise choice and we shouldn't be encouraging the girl and pretending to give our blessings. People have a way of making things about them and are so twisted in their thinking and no matter what she would have someting negitive to say because that's just her. Shake it off baby, you deserve to have a shower for the people that can not make, it gives them a chance to say we love you and best wishes... Trust me there will be tons of those people... It's isn't about the negitive aunt and don't give her any attention... -
