My back up option: Words can not express how happy we are to say, thank you for coming, on our very special day! Thoughts? Thanks!! We did something more personal... We had a small group 25 guests.. I made personalized badges to pin on the bags so that people knew their bags apart. On the badge I had a picture and a nickname for that guest. I didn't take pictures however my guests loved them and kept them pinned on there bags.. I did drawstring sport bags for oot bags... an example my friends daughter is name Kristen and she is very special to us, I downloaded the logo for Special K cereal and that was her nickname "Special K". Another good friend is a vegetarean and I downlaod a pic of a whopper hamburger and He was known as "The Whopper". It takes a while and you kinda have to know people pretty good.... My guest just loved it because it was personalized... My 2 cents... Good luck... Oh bought blank badges at Michaels craft store

Also, My travel company is offering me 2 free seats for every 16 people booked. If everyone books on there own I will be screwed out of this deal. What did you ladies do?? Thanks Melissa Hi Melissa, I totally hear where your coming from... I had gotten prices confirmed and held for a really decent price. I sent the invites and quote out in July and people had until Oct 31 to book... Well my brother who has never travel anywhere.. was at a summer party here at my house in August and was telling people not to book until Jan because they were getting ripped off... I had to take him aside a explain that if no one booked until last minute I could not plan a wedding... He didn't get it!!! Thought I was what I was asking people to do was ashameful on my part.... (Honey there will be these people in your group and you can not change that). Yeah we all have stupid people lol!!! With that said... everyone that went booked Oct.31 or sooner "except of course my brother)... Well darling he booked Jan 25th and I was getting married Feb 2... Ok here is your arguement for people... I got the confirmed price for a week all inclusive 5star $1300.00 per person. My brother searched the internet day and night for two months and ended up paying $2200.00. He got a really crappy travel time and had to come a day early and leave a day early.. He was in a totally different section of the resort, 20 minute walk from the group. Last minute works when you don't care where your going and are extremely flexible on the dates and travel time... Hang in there babe... There will be stupid people...

  8. I do agree it becomes the parents responsibility to watch their kids... We had teens with us and they had wrist bands that prevented them from being served alcohol. I also know my stepdaugther and she was begging my son and her cousin to get her drinks... Not at the wedding but at other times and they answer was no... With that said she did get some of the resort staff to get her drinks... When I found out I freaked at her and the two staff and that was the end of her alcohol pipeline.... Use your judgement... I wouldn't say not to drinks because of the teens...

  11. Only thing I would caution you on is "sand flies".... Friends of ours did a photo shoot at the beach with a photographer from the resort and my girlfriend's legs and waist was covered in bites the following day. When they picked up their pictures the photographer told her that sometimes that happens and it from the sand. Just a heads up...
  12. Location... you can change the house to suit your needs What was your strongest moment in life... A time when you had to over come the hardest toughest challenge.
  13. Totally agree with you Mom...... I have a 21 year old and I feel the same.. sorry the wedding is so close I can not stand the stress of worrying about you and wha can happen... While is Mexico my brother who is single at 36, no kids, no responsibility!!!! had this bright idea that he would take my son, my FI and the rest of the guys into Cancun the night before the wedding for a pub crawl.... Oh he was pissed with me when I told him that was not happening..(FI wasn't interested in doing it anyway) ... Like you, I could feel bad vibes just thinking about what could happen and why open that door... I think your asking a small favor... please don't do this honey... Totally support you on this..
  14. IT"S HERE!!!! YOUR DAY!!!! Yes I am shouting!!!!! I am so excited for you Bella..... have an amazing wedding day.... Best wishes girlie.. keep us updated... We'll be waiting for those pictures and details...

  19. Oh My Dear God.... Why are there such stupid people in this world? My ex has been trying to reach me for a week since I return from Mexico, I have been avoiding his call... He can make me homicidal!!!! Today I am in the dollar store and my cellphone rings and it comes up unknown number, I answer, big mistake it wah him. His first comment is "You're back". No doubt stupid yo have been stalking me for a week and i am sure you have spoken to our son. Next stupid comment is "what do I call you now"? My sharp remark back is "don't call me'! He is like "no whats your name now... I am "Oh I am still Sue your ex the bitch". Ok this gets better than he asks me "why didn't you tell me your getting married"? My sharper toned answer back is, I figured when you didn't get an invite it was a clear indication it was no of your business! I think I used the f word. He proceeds to say well you could have told me because people were asking me if you were getting married because they had heard through the grapevine you were... My response was the same applies to those people, didn't get an invite ?? None of your business. Ok next statement had me loading my gun, he says "you took our son out of the country without my permission"...... Ok you all know my son is 21 years old... I couldn't laugh scream or say anything... I hung up on him...... stupid people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. What book could be loosely based on the story of your life? The little engine that could! I have dealt with a lot of struggles and disappointments in my life, however I always push my thoughts to the positive side of the track and keep the train going... I know that I can acheive anything if I put my mind to it. Who has influenced you most in life?

Klassy is my middle name! On a serious (not really) note, have you guys seen this site? If you need a bit of stress relief or just want to kill some time, check this out! All things heinous, trashy, and hilarious in weddings! It's like all of the horror stories from this thread got together, multiplied and then someone took pictures. Enjoy! I am on the floor laughing... that site is awesome....however no matter how much I believe your wedding should be personalized, some of those weddings should not have happened... I thought the speedo man in my wedding pictures was brutal... Groom dressed like peter pan.... Oh seriously!!!

I just got home from the Tulum which is the sister hotel of the Akumal... I have been to all three hotels and there amazing. Your hotel has the most beautiful beach area. In regards to decoarations for your wedding ceremony & reception, you can bring decorations, their very flexible. I bought stuff: Bows for the white chairs at the Gazebo (not sure if your having the gazebo or beach area wedding) for the dinner I had center pieces for the tables and decorations for the cake table. The blue bows I had for the wedding ceremony were re used to decorate the poolside reception. OOT bags are a great idea and there is a huge thread with a million ideas to fit any budget. I would look that up for some thoughts.... The only thing you have to do is keep in mind you have to carry this stuff with you... Just to give you a reality check here I had about 350 lbs of luggage. My hubby and I had 208 between us, with large carry ons and a wedding dress. I had family carry suitcases for me aswell. I can only speak for myself, it was worth every second, every penny, every sleepless night, every ounce of sweat getting it all there. I loved it and so did each and everyone of my guest. Good luck sweetie and if you have more questions you can pm me, I don't check this thread that regularly... I wouldn't want to miss your questions
