  9. So I met her after work today for a drink, I was late about 15min. she was pissed at me because she was sitting alone. I walked onto the patio and her first words were " what thet hell was wrong with Jane (not her real name) this skinny "*itch and her friggin issues with the bathing suit? My friend Jane is very shy about bathing suits, I had a pool party Saturday nite with both friends there. Jane kept her wrap on unless she was in the pool and kept it close by otherwise. Next words out of her mouth(soon to be un invited) was "Stupid *itch is so uptight she make me sick, and I won't spend a week with her stupid issues. Ok now I am losing it. Oh and then she said to me, you need to get rid of people like that because their no fun, oh and who wants that at their wedding? I just take a breath and say maybe you shouldn't come if you have issues with the other people I have invited". "Pen Drop" Then soon to be not invited goes on to say this is suposed to be a wedding not a funeral. Oh Dear!!!!!!! So now I am telling her I can not deal with the stress of her being rude to other guest and her need for control it is mine and FI wedding. Ok I see tears now and she said i have to go to the bathroom. 15 minutes has gone by, I am just about to get up and she sticks her head out to the patio and asked " do you want to sit inside it's getting cold. Ok Yeah Sure... 5 minutes pass and I see her and her car leaving the parking lot. Waitress come by with the bill.... ok who's laughing? I am actually!!!!!! "

(Barcelo colonial beach, grand riviera sunset princess, and gran bahia principe akumal) It's soo hard to make a decision, they all look amazing. This site is great, can't wait to get everyone's advice! If anyone has any preferences over those 3 resorts, or any comments, feel free to write me! Thanks, Melissa Hi Melissa, Welcome from a fellow Newfie, I was home this summer to Glovertown first time in 15 years. I was at the Gran Bahia principe Akumal 3 years ago and it is beautiful...It is stunning beautiful, great service and food is to die for. Good Luck sue

I thought I had found the dress, but it turns out I was only thinking that because everyone else loved the dress. When I put it on though, I didn't "feel" a connection to it. Maybe that's crazy...but I hope you guys agree with me. I thought you are supposed to put the dress on and feel special in it & all that jazz. This is just not the dress that I have envisioned my whole life....actually so far no dress has done that! Anyways besides needing to vent, I wanted to get some opinions. First off, has anyone had their wedding dress made for them? I know a lady that does it and she probably wouldn't charge too much, so I'm kind of leaning towards that. Secondly, I was curious if anyone knew dresses that are similar to Alvina Valenta or Paloma Blanca BUT for cheaper? I am in love with the slim, trumpet shape dresses and I want a strapless sweetheart neckline, but unfortunately those dresses are not in my price range. Any help is appreciated. I am having my dress made, I tried the trying on dresses in the shop. First i am a size 14 so in wedding size thats about a 18. Not much on the rack my size, mostly dresses that would cover my tigh. I found it very overwhelming having people stare at me in a dress waiting for my response. I found a dress online and I took it to a seamstress and she gave me a price that blew my mind. The dress retails for $500 and she is making it for $210 material included. God love her she works for a fabric shop and got my material for her employee cost. I am also have things changed on the dress to suit my body better. Just give you an idea I'll post the picture and explain the changes. Photo I have had the top changed to halter to hold the twins better... I just need the support. Having it made it is your dress and you can take things about certian dresses and add on or take away. I hope it works out for you... I'll keep you updated as to my dress progress. Good Luck
  12. I am loving number 2... Something really flattering about the front that caught my eye. Too much folding and creasing on the first for me.... Thats just my 02. cents

We ended up buying ours online because everywhere here was sold out of the limited edition aqua colored ones and we wanted the ones with the bottle openers on them hehe. And KRama, you're right, it was a bit of a logistical nightmare getting them to Mexico. At midnight, the night before our flight to Cancun, we took one look at the mountain of luggage in our living room (2 large suitcases, 2 garment bags, 2 small suitcases, 1 backpack, 1 large purse.... and one giant Home Depot box full of big ol Bubba Kegs and favors) and decided to upgrade to first class. In first class we got 3 checked bags each at 70 lbs, so it worked out fine thank goodness. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t48951 Also, I finally got around to doing my wedding review. Here is the link. I'll post more pictures once I get the proof CD from our photographer. I am laughing so hard at the amount of luggage you took with you. I hope I don't have that much, I am sure it'll be tons aswell. Too funny that was a good morning chuckle
