They give me about 15 hours a week, one is more flexible she will work from 9am to 4pm her kids are fulltime school and she will also do the daycare centres in the evenings when I am away. I could and may look for another job one day, but for now I like being home at 4pm and once a week I clean the centres for 4 hours after 5pm the centres close and 4 hours on the weekends. It isn't for everyone and it is hard work... I have lost over 30lbs. My point was we always seem to look in the direction we came from and not other directions. I never dreamed I'd be doing what I am doing (or enjoying it) I have a college education and over 20 years work expereince in social work. Sometimes we have to create things for ourselves, was my point!!!! I know from being at that crossroad and not having a job it is very scarey, my heart does go out to all these people that have lost their jobs and that are struggling to survive.
  3. Denise, I am not to sure how old you are, I am guessing somewhere in your 20's and you have grown up with the ever grown information highway... Everywhere you look you see skinny skinny people it is so in your face. Twenty years ago when I was probably about your age there was no such friggin size as size 0 and if someone was that thin, "oh there is something wrong with her". Models back then had curves and boobs, today their flat as boards. I think this day and age young women are under so much pressure to be thin it's disgusting. My FI daughter freaked out last summer when we took her back to school shopping because she had to buy a size 2 jeans and when she left school three month prior she was wearing a zero. She obessed about it for a month and weighed herself everyday. (the bathroom scale is now gone). At the time she was 14 (got her monthly visitor) and she weighed 103 lbs!!!!!!!!!! Oh and a friend told her to take "water reduction pills when she got her period". There is this global obbession to be the right size at any cost. Well lets face it we're all different. I am ok with my weight from a visual stand point, I worry about my body carrying extra weight and the affect it has on it. I make jokes about being the chunky chic and that I don't skinny dip, I chunky dunk. I am who I am and I am happy, there are things I would change about me if i had a fairy godmother, my weight isn't in the top three. Love yourself honey, you have found a man that loves you, "all of you". Have a great day... and anytime your feeling down come hang out with us chunky chics

  5. Ok I know I posted this story in another thread it totally belongs here: I was at a friend's daughters wedding a few years ago the grooms parents were divorced for a number of years, however there was some unresolved anger issues there. During the speeches the dad of the groom gets up to speak..(few drinks into him) he went on to say how much he loved his only son and how pround he was. Then on to his new daughter inlaw and how brides how always look so beautiful on their wedding day and he was so confused how the world ended up with so many F*cking ugly ex wives. Well you could of heard a pin drop in a hall of 200 people. He continues on to put his glass up for a toast and says " I hope she not like your mother and leaves you with at least the shirt on your back and pants on your ass. At this point someone is taking him away.......after the shock wore off and I was heading home I laughed so hard I thought i would put the car off the road. sorry if I am repeating... However is this not your worst nightmare:

  7. Just an idea!!!! I left my job as a youth crisis worker just over a 1 and half years ago.. I too had just gotten engaged, I had a bit of a meltdown after something really scarey happened and I wasn't able to continue working in that field. I had done that job for 12 years, that was who I was. I felt really lost and alone for a long time. I was really lucky to have my kids and FI, not mention good friends. One such good friend asked me to clean her house for her one friday and she would pay me for it. I did and her Ex came to pick up the kids and was really excited about her house looking that great on a Friday afternoon, he came and asked me if I'd clean his on Monday after the kids went back to mom's. I needed the money so what the hell. I now have working for me 2 part time girls and myself fulltime. I have 33 regular clients that are weekly/biweekly about 10 clients that call on an as needed bases. I have just recently picked up two daycare centres that I clean at night and I work with several real estate agents, getting homes ready for sale and cleaned when people move out. It amazed me that in time when everyone seems to tighten their belts I was able to get this off the ground. I know it really seems like there is nothing out there, sometimes you just have to change where you looking. I may not want to do this forever, however for now it works and pays the bills... Actually I make more now then I did two years ago Don't beat yourself up.... Good luck...

If someone said that about my ring I would have lost it and been like, um no, I bought this at a real jewelry store, and it costs more than you make in a year! So I have lost 20lbs and I am stuck. But I was going to the gym everyday and then I had to miss a few days this week so maybe just getting back at it will kick start things back up again. I wish FI would notice more though. I know he sees me everyday and so its harder to see a difference but it would be nice. He says he does notice but that is after I ask him! Little shat. Anyways, I hadn't seen my BFF in a month or so and she was floored so that's something, but then that is what girlfriends are good for! There is a Maggie truck show near me in November and I really really want to go and possibly get my dress! I was planning on waiting till after the holidays and see how much more I can lose but maybe I can just work really hard before November and maybe do extra alterations later? First off ladies "way to go on your weight lost" you gals are going to look amazing on your wedding day. Bearded Wal-Mart lady, I just came back with (ok make sure your mouth isn't filled with coffee or pop) Do you know where I can find razers in this store? And when she directed me to the right isle I asked her why she hasn't been there? Off course I didn't say that, damn funny after thought. Have fun girls... Ya Big Losers!!! in a good way
  14. I think that is a very neat idea... I just did some searching on ebay... very cute.. kinda playful
  15. Off topic.... Hope the website police don't catch me lol Wal-mart staff are great, I was there yesterday and browsing the jewellery case for chocolate pearls. The walmart employee 100 years old with a beard come sover to assist me in seeing the pearls, she points at my Ering and says "oh that's one of ours, we sold it last xmas here." Ok SusieQ is trying not to laugh or bite her ,I am not sure!!!! She then goes on to say "it was a great deal it was selling for $69.99.... hahahahahaha now I have stitches....
  16. WOW!!! I am now thinking what label do I get!!! I found a picture of a couple dresses online and I have taken them to this lovely lady to have her make "My Dress" Top of the dress is one designer and bottom another... what laws have I broken thief, counterfit, fraud!!!!
